Presentació de projectes d’estudiants del Grau en Disseny i del Grau en Enginyeria de Disseny Industrial d’Elisava, Facultat de Disseny i Enginyeria de Barcelona en col·laboració amb l'empresa suïssa USM Modular Furniture que des de fa més de 50 anys desenvolupa solucions modulars per a la llar i l’espai de treball. La firma és avui dia una icona del disseny a nivell mundial i forma part de la col·lecció permanent del Museu d'Art Modern de Nova York (MoMA). Durant un any, l'alumnat ha treballat en col·laboració amb l’equip d’USM per a fer els seus Treballs Fi de Grau, estudiant diferents aplicacions del sistema USM, amb l'objectiu de crear noves solucions de mobiliari enfocades als reptes del futur. Art Applied (MACK) és una retrospectiva de Petra Blaisse (i del seu estudi Inside Outside) que ens recorda per què ella és una de les referents internacionals del món del disseny. *** En comptes de treballar únicament en edificis estàtics, Inside Outside ha estat capaç de projectar entorns a una gran varietat d'escales —de grans paisatges urbans fins a espais domèstics més íntims. Els espais que generen Petra i el seu equip desafien qualsevol classificació convencional. Art Applied inclou projectes reconeguts com el recentment enllestit Taipei Performing Arts Center; la Kunsthal Rotterdam; la Biblioteca degli Alberi a Milà; o la Biblioteca LocHal a Tilburg, una enorme fàbrica reconvertida utilitzant una arquitectura de cortines semitranslúcides. La seva obra ha estat inclosa en nombroses exposicions de disseny i arquitectura arreu del món. L'any 2000 es va organitzar una exposició monogràfica sobre el treball d'Inside Outside al Storefront for Art and Architecture del Soho (Nova York), coincidint amb la qual la dissenyadora gràfica holandesa Irma Boom crea la primera publicació de Blaisse: el catàleg Movements, 25%. La primera monografia sobre l'obra de Petra Blaisse i Inside Outside, dissenyada per Irma Boom, va ser publicada el 2007 per NAi Publishers i va ser reimpresa per The Monacelli Press, una divisió de Random House, el 2009. Presentación del Fanzine goodgoods papel #2, Vico Magistretti: Restauración de un sofá y sillón de la serie Loden El acto presentará, en el marco del OFF Barcelona Design Week 2024, el Fanzine editado por Terranova que incluye una entrevista a Margherita Pellino directora de la Fundación Vico Magistretti de Milán. Para la ocasión, Stefano Colli (goodgoodstefano) presentará la restauración de unsillón y un sofá de la serie Loden, diseñados por Vico Magistretti para Gaviota en 1961. Las piezas han sido tapizadas por Latelié de Miki Beumala siguiendo el diseño original, con el popular tejido de fieltro de lana Focus Melange de Gabriel.
