Trip.com Accessibility Statement

Trip.com is committed to providing a digital experience that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We are continuously working to improve the accessibility and usability of our website and mobile applications, guided by applicable standards and user feedback.

This statement applies to the Trip.com website and Trip.com mobile apps (iOS and Android) used within the European Union as well as Switzerland, Turkey and Ukraine.

Conformance Status

Trip.com is working towards conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and EN 301 549, the European accessibility standard applicable under the EU Web Accessibility Directive and forthcoming European Accessibility Act.

Current Status & Progress

We have taken the following steps to improve digital accessibility:

  • Completed updates for improved color contrast, text scaling, and responsive layout
  • Enhanced screen reader compatibility for key user flows, including search, booking, and payments
  • Simplified navigation and tab order to improve usability via keyboard only

These improvements reflect our ongoing roadmap and commitment to accessible design.

Planned Enhancements

Additional functions are in development and targeted for release soon, including but not limited to:

  • Accessible focus states
  • Better form field validation and error messaging for screen readers

A smaller set of features is scheduled for completion in H2 2025 or later, due to technical complexity or dependencies on third-party components.

Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts, some areas of the Trip.com digital environment may not yet be fully accessible. These include:

  • Certain legacy pages and features where keyboard navigation or screen reader support is incomplete
  • Embedded third-party modules (e.g., maps, payment gateways) where accessibility may not be fully controllable by Trip.com
  • Older app versions or specific browser configurations where accessibility support is limited

We are actively working to address these limitations. Known issues will be regularly reviewed and updated.

Supported Environments

The accessibility features of Trip.com are supported in the following environments:

  • Browsers: Chrome (44+), Firefox (39+), Safari (10.1), Safari iOS (10.3), UC (15.5), Opera (29) and Edge (all versions)
  • Mobile: Latest versions of Trip.com app for iOS (v8.29.2+) and Android (v8.29.2+), with accessibility features enabled (e.g., VoiceOver, TalkBack)
