We stayed for the firework on NYE and this hotel delivered!! (Although I did go to the pier to enjoy it with the crowd). This hotel is located above Cross Gate which is a 3-4 level mall mainly of restaurants. I missed the info that they have a car park right under the building so I parked for an hour outside but that's fine. I wish it was multiple entries though. Car park is definitely challenging for bigger cars but manageable. Back to the hotel, it's typical Japanese size or even smaller if it's a two bed room. Breakfast was proper buffet style and I mean the room can fit maybe 30-40 tables if not more so you can imagine their offering is superb in both western and Japanese style. My only regret is I was too tired to walk and try each plate they offer!! Room is tiny but it can be excused by the view. Although I saw some constructions starting so the view might be blocked next time I come :( The only concern I had is that some lifts can connect to the mall bypassing the reception. So literally anyone could arrive to your door, which caught me by surprise a little.

Great, but the hotel is old. If the TV connect VOD theater would be better. Also needs vending machines each floor? Anyway, it was good stay!!

I would have given a 5 star rating for service but got a very bad experience with this one staff call Yashiro (she wasn’t wearing a name tag but told us this name after we asked a few times for her name). We booked 3 rooms for 2 nights, for 6 people. On the second evening when we return to the rooms, we found out that our room wasn’t cleaned. Later found out that we need to put the magnet tag outside of the door if we need cleaning. Which is fine and we were not complaining about this. But we needed new towels. We called the reception separately and got hanged up! The receptionist said a bunch of “maybe” English or mixed with Japanese, then hang up. I called again and explained we needed new towels, she said “no towels!” Then hang up. I called again, same answer, then hang up. We then go down to the lobby, this same girl looked annoyed and said NO TOWELS! Her level of service was just very bad and unacceptable! It was only until when we asked for her name, she acted she didn’t understand English. Then I spoke in Japanese asking for her name. Then her attitude changed. Gave us 3 towels. I said we needed 6 for 6 people. Then she said no again! I said it is ridiculous if the hotel only has 4 clean towels! And I will write my experience on my booking platform. Then she finally took us to our floor and said there are many towels there. To be fair, all other staff was very friendly, including the boy who checked us in and the girl called Monya who checked us out and helped us with delivering the luggages to our next hotel. I don’t need compensation from this hotel as I will not be returning to this hotel again because of this one bad staff but I surely hope management can give her better training on how to handle simple customer requests with a right attitude.

Nice hotel with beautiful view, staffs with good manner, hotel room was tidy and clean. Be reminded car parking requires 1600yen per night.

Absolutely in a very convenient location. Walking distance to the Shin-yokohama station and shopping centre. 2-3 minutes walk to car rental company. Surrounded by convenient stores, cafes and restaurants. Very helpful front desk staff. Will come back to stay again.

This is my fav hotel during japan trip. Location is great, just few mins walk from exit station yokohama, with escalator access available. Yokohama is big city with easy access to tokyo, I highly recommend people coming to tokyo to stay in yokohama due to many factors! I chose this room because the size is bigger compared to hotels in tokyo, which turn out to be great! The room has big windows, sofa, enough space to open big luggages. We really find this as huge benefit cz small room really limit your movement. The amenities are available to pick up at lobby area, really convenient. Room is clean, well maintained, modern. Staff are friendly and efficient! Excellent stay overall and I would definitely come back if I go japan again!

I love the location of this hotel, which is right above Shin-Yokohama station and on the 10th floor of a mall which houses usual popular stores like Uniqlo and Gu. Souvenir/food stores are in the mall and train station too. It also has a gym although I didn’t go check it out. There’s also a guest lounge for free coffee/tea/juices and newspapers which you can enjoy on the 12th floor. And this lounge has a nice view too of the streets below. Staff are friendly and helpful, although many are not proficient in English. I’m All in, I would stay here if I visit Yokohama again. I would also recommend this place to others (which I did!)

Hotel is just 3 min walk to Metro Station. The room with twin beds is spacious, yet not enough self-served facilities, like microwave oven or free coffee machine. Anyway the room price is valued for brand hotels.

Very close to Metro line (google-san sent me to Kannai station is gave more closer station their) Although staff-san not.good at English , but theirs service minds are top class just use translator talking , they will help you a lot Food is also good , don't forget to have food before 9.40 am I almost forget that limit time is 9.40 am not 10.00 am as room checking out period time (have breakfast then go back to room if bate choose for get up late person) Facility is also good 👍 and have working corner at lobby floor , I gib 10/10 because I don't know because I feel satisfied with out problem and they help problem that I met with others too lol

Everything was good at the hotel. The only sad thing for me to share is that we had a very unpleasant experience inside the train heading towards Yokohama from Tokyo. We did not know that we were in the incorrect car. When we were told by the lady train staff, we got up from our seat and tried to go into the next car. But the next car was 110% full and we could not get in. One of the lady train staff was very rude and aggressive towards us. She pushed my wife very hard when we were in between the two cars until she almost lost her balance. Luckily she did not fall down. I view this as a very offensive act and we made a complaint at the Yokohama train office. The journey to Yokohama was very unpleasant.

Really love the convenience of the hotel allocation, allowing us to travel to different places with the nearest train station (Kawasaki station) just a few mins walk from our hotel. Not to even say it has multiple convenience stores and malls around the hotel, including different kinds of restaurants around us!! Definitely gonna come back to this hotel again!!! Plus point is that it is only 30mins away from Haneda Airport T3~~~

This hotel provides good service, clean rooms and wonderful breakfast. Especially, you can get free drip-coffee in the front desk. I suggest you all must choose Daiwa Roynet Hotels.

Nearby so many restaurants and shopping areas. 5 minutes walk to station and one stop from Shinagawa. Reception staff’s friendly. Service is good. I arrived hotel early in the morning and check in time is 3pm. I left luggage with the hotel. When returned in the afternoon, luggage already in the room. Good price for this kind of outstanding service. Will stay next time.

The hotel is very close to Kawasaki Stn. The property is clean and staff friendly and helpful. Check In is self serve with machine. Easy process. Lots of toiletries etc close to check in desk. Breakfast was ok but staff must have had a bad night.

It was a delightful surprise. The room was spacious and impeccably clean, with a good city view. The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive. The on-site restaurant for breakfast served delicious, locally-sourced cuisine. This hotel truly exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

The hotel is very close to Jr Kawasaki Station and only 8 minutes away from Keikyu Kawasaki Station, so it only takes 15 minutes to drive to Haneda Airport. It is highly recommended that you stay here when you get off the plane at Haneda Airport. There is a Nissan car rental near the hotel, which is very convenient for tourists who want to drive themselves.

Firstly, we had an issue at check in and Trip.Com were hopeless dealing with it. The girl online just didn't want to listen to our plight. I didn't know that Trip is China based. With respect to the hotel it's the best one we stayed in on this visit. The property appears very new. The amenities are terrific. The hot spa is a great relief after walking around nearby attractions and shopping. We will certainly stay again 5🌟

I booked for 3 consecutive nights. The hotel mattress is an intelligently adjustable mattress. The mattress is far from the head of the bed, and there is a short empty space in the middle. The first and second nights were normal. At 2:00 a.m. on the third night, the mattress suddenly adjusted automatically and went up, which scared me awake. After that, it adjusted automatically every hour, and it kept adjusting. It was really scary in the middle of the night. I didn't sleep all night! I asked the waiter and he said it might be the wiring in the next room. I was speechless. For Japan, where intelligent semiconductors are so developed, this kind of facility is too bad!

The interior was beautiful. Early in the morning, the sound of knocking on another room continued for several tens of minutes, and I wondered what was going on. It's still a mystery. Everyone at the front desk was very nice. The breakfast buffet was also delicious.

I went by car. I arrived much earlier than the scheduled check-in time, but they were happy to accommodate me, and after checking in, I was able to use the free shuttle bus from the hotel to Motohakone Port, so I was able to explore without the stress of parking. The view of Lake Ashi from the room was also very nice. I had dinner outside, and for breakfast I could choose between Japanese and Western food, and ate it in each restaurant. The Japanese breakfast I chose was very delicious. I also enjoyed the guest room. I would like to come again.

Little far from train station, but hotel offer free shuttle bus if you request or certain time. From hotel, they offer shuttle bus to go to hakone Yumoto train station. I had problem to book to add children to stay at website. But hotel staffs helped me to fix this issue. We enjoyed staying this hotel.

Located near two bus stops, easy access to public transportation makes Hotel Kagetsuen a convenient place to stay. It seems well-managed, with amenities provided as promised, and facilities that are clean and working. The room we got was comfortable and relatively spacious. Their buffet breakfast was good, and the view during autumn (see photo) was quite stunning and formed part of the memories that made our stay at Kagetsuen truly outstanding. We can’t recommend Hotel Kagetsuen enough and would opt to stay there again on our next visit to Hakone.

The hotel is a 5-minute walk from the tram station, which is very convenient. The seats are private and quiet. The room was also very clean and tidy. The hotel's own private hot spring restaurant is not crowded and very comfortable. Because I didn't know that I needed to pay per person, I chose the wrong number of guests. The hotel's service was very considerate. They helped cancel the previous reservation and paid for the room on site. And I chose two room types, please let me see them first before making a decision. There are two beds in one room and four tatami mats in one room. Sleeping comfortably and spacious. Highly recommend this hotel when visiting Hakone

You can take your luggage there and store it at the station by yourself. Cons: The sound insulation of Japanese-style rooms is always not very good, the outdoor area of ​​the hot spring is relatively small, and I didn’t go to the rooftop to pay to try the loan hot spring. Maybe that is better? The biggest problem is that the hotel is located on an uphill slope. It is breathless to walk up with luggage. It is recommended to take the bus instead of the entrance of the hot spring field, and take a closer station (forgot the name). Of course, if you want to eat Hatsuhana Soba, you can write your name when you pass by and queue up. After checking in, you can almost be in your turn when you come down~ The attitude of the service staff is very good. Generally satisfied.

The location is not so far from Hakone-Yamamoto station, but if you bring huge luggage it may not convenient. We only brought our backpacks to Hakone. The room is huge, the design is Japanese traditional house/room. We booked a room with bed because we’re not very used to sleeping on floor. We didn’t get a room with river view but that’s alright. The bathroom is okay, they have a very complete bath-amenities and skincare ranges which is nice. We tried the private onsen, we paid about 3300 yen. But it’s worth the experience. The breakfast buffet is pretty nice with many various of foods. Overally it’s a pretty good accomodation in Hakone area.

This ryokan is located very close to the gora station. It's literally a 10-minute walk. But the hotel itself already needs renovation. Everything works, but it's not in its best condition. But at the same time, it's relatively expensive, well located, and has everything a tourist is looking for in a ryokan. They serve kaiseki dinners, and have an onsen. There are two of them, on the 3rd and 4th floors, one for women and one for men, and they change at 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. So you can visit both. The water in the indoor pool and in the open-air bath is pleasant. Everything works, but renovations would be very helpful. I'm attaching a photo of a local keiseki dinner. It's brought all at once straight to your room. The dishes are not changed, which gives you additional freedom in choosing the order in which to eat your dishes.

around 15 mins walk from the train station but there are so many shops while on the way to the hotel. The hotel offer free snacks, drinks and free ramen. Visitors can grab as many as possible and are all free. The hotel room is clean and spacious and I like the hot tube bar within the room. The private hot spring and the public hot spring are all great. The portion for the dinner and breakfast are big. Especially I like the sukiyaki dinner.

This ryokan is perfect for people who want to experience ryokan for the first time but want something cheaper within Hakone area. Situated on the main road with buses to Owakudani and train to Odawara. I'd recommend catching the bus from Odawara to this ryokan since the walking trail from the closest station to this place is hilly and has lots of stairs. Main road is not very luggage friendly so pack very light when you're staying here. This place has very nice rooms with view to the river behind it. The view is spectacular when the entire river area is covered in red autumn leaves. Dinner and breakfast are very delicious, you will be served a range of traditional food from a la carte to dessert. You can also book your private indoor onsen FOR FREE. The ryokan also has an open outdoor onsen across the bridge for 3000 JPY. The only downside of this place is the main road is very busy as it's the only way for people to drive from Odawara to Owakudani. So local people take this road to get to Owakudani. Buses from this place will not stop at there in the weekend. Your best plan is to go to Lake Ashi first and take the opposite route to Owakudani instead. Plan your trip in this area very carefully because a bus trip that would take 10-15 minutes will end up taking you 1 to 1.5 hours.
