It is a business hotel located in the downtown Tenmonkan in Minami Kyushu, but it was only called ”Rem”, and I was able to sleep well as rarely for me to sleep until I was woken up by the alarm clock. The city trams and buses are running on the road right in front of me, but I didn't care about the noise at all. １ I had breakfast at the talis in the building because it was breakfast for the night, but it was quite well organized and substantial. I was able to choose from hot dog pancake toast.

We loved the view from the room, Sakura Island was just in front of us and we could actually see smoke coming out of its crater which was pretty awesome. The pools were also nice and the traditional restaurant near the lobby had some great Japanese food. The service was excellent, too. The only downside was that the bus stop is a bit far and walking to it in the middle of summer isn’t pleasant. But a taxi to the main train station costs around ¥1,800 which isn’t bad.

The breakfast buffet was very delicious with a lot of side dishes from Kagoshima. The wild plant rice was delicious and the satsuma soup was delicious. Especially the chicken rice was the best. The room was clean and the large communal bath was comfortable. It is close to the Astronomical Museum and I will use it again when I go to Kagoshima!

The staff members were very hospitable. Check in was fast and Jeffrey gave us detailed explanation of the facilities of the hotel. He also greeted us every time he met us in the lobby. While the renovation in the room is old fashioned, it is kept clean. We were very lucky that we had good view of Sakurajima during our two days stay. Breakfast in the lobby cafe and dinner in the Japanese restaurant were good.

鹿児島空港からレンタカー利用３０分弱で到着しました。 ホテルは本館と別館に分かれてますが本館の方が吹き抜けもありゴージャス、別館はチェックインした本館フロントから３Fにある館内の通路を抜ける必要があるので少々面倒です（別館の方がランク下という感じ）。 アサインされた別館のツインルームは室内が長方形ではなく少々いびつな造りなので使い勝手は今ひとつだったというのが正直な感想です（ひとりでツインルーム使用なら快適だと思います）。 大浴場は本館の地下にあるので別館泊だと結構離れてます。雰囲気はスポーツジムにある大浴場風な感じだと思いました。受付でタオルが借りられるので部屋からは手ぶらで行けるのは便利です。サウナは狭くて３名入れば満杯という感じ、内風呂は熱めとぬるめの２か所ありますが一番気にいったのは体温と同じ湯温３６度の寝湯です。熱くも無く寒くもないのでずっと浸かっていれて満足でした。 脱衣場はスポーツクラブのようなロッカーがあるのですが宿泊者が使用して良いのか分からなかったので脱衣籠利用で済ませました（これについての案内が無いのが不親切）。 時間帯によってはスポーツ合宿でここに宿泊していると思われる体育会系の若者が入浴していることもあり、その時には混雑します。 部屋のテレビで大浴場の混雑状況が確認できるシステムになっていますが常時男湯は少々混雑、女湯は空いているという表示でした、ドーミーインチェーンのホテルも同じようなシステムですがロッカーの鍵がかかっているかいないかで判別しているようなのですが、ここは大浴場受付のスタッフが目分量で混雑状況を判断して空き状況を決めてるようなのであまり当てにしない方が良いかもしれません。 ２連泊して朝食２回、夕食１回（いづれも別館１Fのバイキングレストラン）で済ませましたがこれぞという売りの１品が無かったのが残念なところです。１杯ずつ作るお茶器は良かったので売店でお土産に購入しました（朝食バイキングは２日共メニューは一緒でした） 食事をホテル外で取る場合は徒歩５分ぐらいのところに『いちにさん』という黒豚しゃぶしゃぶやとんかつなどがありました。当方は近くにあるイオン内のとんかつ店『竹亭』のとんかつが食べたかったのでレンタカーで行きテークアウトして部屋で食べました。イオンまでだと徒歩だと１５分ぐらいかかりそうだったので断念した為です。 尚、コンビニは徒歩５分ほどのところにローソンがあります。 もう少し街中の立地だったらホテル外の飲食店巡りも出来そうだった気がしてます。 鹿児島空港から近い観光地だと霧島温泉郷を選択しがちですがたまにはこのようなホテルに投宿してみるのも良い気がしました。 機会があればまたお世話になっても良いと思えるホテルでした。

Thankfully our cab driver allowed one of us to hold the lighter luggage in our lap and took us all to the hotel. Leaving we encountered a very rude taxi driver outside the hotel. He bullied us and took one luggage and put into his trunk. Signalled another cab to come pick the rest of us and literally threw our second luggage to the other cab. Shocked us. He insisted only 2 passengers and one luggage and demanded ¥1,000 fare not meter. Very very bad experience with Japanese taxi driver outside Kagoshima Washington hotel. Hotel wise staff tried very hard to converse in English and very helpful as we arrived on New Year’s Eve. Room was small and clean.

Huge bath tub within the room. Slightly bigger room than japan's average because of that but living area is smaller as a result. There is a sofa in this room but that takes up the space for luggage. Overall pretty good. Just opppsite the jr station with underground access. Sakurajima was covered by clouds when I was there.

Hotel ribmaxＢＵＤＧＥＴKagoshima is a business hotel located in Ogawa CHO, Kagoshima City, Kagoshima Prefecture. On April 5, 2022, I walked through Shiroyama Park. From there, I drove to Hotel ribmaxＢＵＤＧＥＴ Kagoshima. There was a three-dimensional parking lot at the back of the super center Nissimta, which was a designated parking lot. Nishimta is a very large discount store. I could buy dinner here, but I bought it in Lawson (sweat;) across the road and headed for ribmax. The lobby is like this. My grandmother checked in earlier, so I went to the elevator as it was. Coin laundry is installed. I expected it because there was a sign of a natural hot spring, but it was not a resort condominium advertisement (sweat);) when I asked if there was a microwave oven at the front desk, I replied, ”I'm in the room” (surprised) If it is true, I will praise you for choosing this hotel. This day is the room on the top floor. It seems to be an old type of room that doesn't light the electricity unless you insert the promised ”grandmother who doesn't open the key” key. ”Grandma who can't stab the key”There was a microwave oven. The TV is also large. Twin room. This is 5,335 yen for two people with surprise !! It seems that the timing was good with dynamic pricing. Hot water heater. Grandpa who mistakenly has a hot spring. There was a color 々 trouble at check-in, but I was able to have a good feeling in the sincere response. Also, the facility seems to be renovated from this month, but overall it was old, but on the contrary, I was able to spend a calm time with a retro feeling to the extent that I didn't particularly care. The hotel is very well equipped with mineral baths in each room on the balcony (has to be outside as the water smells quite sulpherous) . The Onsen was one of the best I have experienced in Japan with lots of pools, water features and a generally really relaxing atmosphere. The restaurant serves amazing food - both western and Japanese, with 6 course meals each night of an extremely high quality and well worth the half-board costs. There free parking and it’s a short drive to the volcanos if you want to go walking or admire the views

Kagoshima Airport, the 13:40 3 bus departs on time, and arrives at Maruwei at 14:40 on time. The station is about 800 meters walk away. You can make an appointment to pick up the hotel in advance. The hotel is located on the bank of the valley stream, quiet and integrated with nature. The hotel mobile phone has no signal, only the lobby has WIFI, which makes people feel away from the world. When registering passport information, the uncle at the front desk brought welcome desserts and tea with salty basil. Hotel bathing beach, not only has a large bath, but also the open air wind for two people is limited to 30 minutes, the family pool is limited to 40 minutes, free but need to make an appointment in advance. The large bath space is large, separate men and women, each has an open air, the open air is sulfur springs and the sulfur smell is very heavy. A cloud of smoke spread, looking up at the starry sky. Our room balcony has a separate sulphur spring bubble tank, soaking in the morning and evening is very comfortable. The breakfast and dinner food is extremely rich, I call it ”October fullness.” The ingredients are fresh. The uncle at the front desk can speak a little English, we basically use pen strokes and write to complete communication. Because we only had two nights of accommodation, we went to visit the Wudao Shrine that day and the uncle at the front desk took us to the bus station very enthusiastically. The next day was arranged at Wudao Art Park. Because there was no bus, the front desk arranged for us to take a taxi, which was about 4200 yen one way. On the third day, the uncle of the hotel sent us to the bus station (there was a front desk reservation the night before to inform us of the departure time). Because Japanese buses are basically punctual, usually the time of delivery by the hotel is only about 3-5 minutes in advance. Very good hot spring experience, I really want to come again. I used it for a day trip bath. The hot springs are large and splendid. Sukayu Onsen Ryokan in Aomori is said to be a thousand-person bath, but it seems that more people can take a bath here. It is a huge hot spring similar to a gymnasium. There are various spring quality and you can enjoy it. There were various types of bathtubs. I didn't stay at the hotel, but it seems to be a hotel with a history. The garden was also magnificent. Kirishima Onsen is far from the railway station and the number of buses is not so large, so it is convenient to rent a car.

This hotel is situated on top of a hill. We were warmly greeted with help to move the luggage . Check in was fast and efficient . The room came with twin hard beds that we slept on so soundly . Room was big , wifi adequate. There was an attached bathroom though the bathtub was quite deep in . The highlight of the stay was the private onsen situated in the middle of the forest . What an amazing experience . We could not get the day slots so we were given the night slots at 730 pm . Do book early . The management will liase with you via email to book the onsens . Dinner was kaiseiki - lovely food with hotpot for vegetables . Breakfast was Japanese adequate . Overall a wonderful stay .

I found this place when I lived in Kirishima Onsen Village and tried to move to another place. Check-in at 4 o'clock.. I arrived early.. I got off at the nearest train station and picked up the service later, 4 check-in was a bit late. Because it is a residential area, you can't see anything near Yokan. On the contrary, it is really quiet, so it’s nice to rest. There are too many kaiseki dinners, I did not apply, I only applied for breakfast. The breakfast time was really good, I looked at the scenery outside~~The hot spring was too slippery.. The stone was too slippery. I enjoyed the hot spring very carefully. The location is not very good. . Most Japanese people come here.. Most of the staff can only speak Japanese.. When you stay in a ryokan, please show the important content printed in English Thank you very much for taking care of me.

We were blown away when we last visited Myoken Ishiharaso, but somehow, our stay last week was even more magical. From the enchanting settings to the Onsen quality to the incredible kaiseki cuisine to the professional, friendly and attentive staff, this is genuinely one of the iconic Onsen ryokans in all of Japan. One nice bonus - location wise, it's a mere 15 minutes by taxi from Kagoshima Airport, which is served by four domestic carriers and is a mere 2-hour flight from Tokyo Haneda or an even shorter 75 minute flight from Osaka Itami. Yes, you can easily do an overnight trip to Ishiharaso - just make sure to get there by 2PM (check-in time is an hour earlier than most ryokans), as you'll definitely want to maximize your time there. The thing we learned on our second trip had to do with the Onsen quality. We already knew that the hot springs at the property came straight from the nearby source, all baths were free-flowing (and overflowing), the overflow onsen were discharged and never recirculated. While it's not uncommon to have ryokans offer such quality, many of the high-end properties do provide it, and even in the rooms, like Ishiharaso does. But the goodness does not stop there. While many places call their onsen ”authentic,” Ishiharaso takes things a bit further: the precious hot springs nutrients are never diluted by adding tap water (which is often the case as a means to cool down the hot springs), have no exposure to air/oxygen until it runs into the bath, Alfa Laval (a French company) heat exchangers are used to control the temperature - it is a system that takes only thermal energy using mountain water. For these reasons and more, the onsen is distributed as it is from the source without being in contact with the air or adding a single drop of water to the hot springs. It's pure goodness at Myoken Ishiharaso. Also, the size of the bathtubs everywhere - in the rooms, in the communal baths and the rental baths (that can be rented privately by guests staying at the ryokan) - are determined based on the advise from experts based on the principle of one turn per hour - in order to meet hygiene standards for bathtubs. In other words, a bathtub that fills up in an hour is ideal. If you make a bathtub bigger than that, you will need to dilute it with water, circulate the water, and chlorinate it. Therefore, the size of the each of the onsen baths at Ishiharaso was decided according to the amount of onsen it can pipe into each bath. Finally - the in-room onsen are drained, meticulously scrubbed clean, and then refilled after each group of guests depart each room. They do the same daily for the communal and rental onsen baths as well. Myoken Ishiharaso's hot springs are called ”Bijin no Yu” (spring of beauty) thanks to bicarbonate spring (hydrogen carbonate and carbon dioxide) and metasilicic acid (a form of silicon dioxide, aka silica.) Last time we had a sand steamed kaiseki meal and an open-air bath in the room, but this time we didn't have one, but this time we enjoyed the Tenku no Yu and were satisfied. (Employees will do it for you) Is it like keeping something hot while it's still hot? As was the case last time, this is GOOD! The difference from last time (before the coronavirus) is that the employees are younger, and their attire has changed from Japanese to Western clothes. However, the customer service remains the same. In addition, the garden was decorated with elaborate lighting at night, and coffee was available for free at the rest area at the entrance to the garden. There are about 10 parking spaces on the hotel grounds, and there seem to be others, but if you want to park on the hotel grounds, arrive early.

I came to ibusuki Onsen for the first time in July with my family. I stood on the coast and I could see the sea from the sand steaming bath. There was a booth for children in the lobby and the children enjoyed it. I think it is good that the indoor pool, the passage to the hot spring and the elevator are divided into guests and lobby. The Japanese room was large and there was an inner bath and it was relaxed slowly. Swimsuits and floating wheels were available at the home center near the hotel.

Stayed 1 night. The hotel is located at the end of a residential street on a low hill with a magnificent view of the beach. This is an old hotel but has been well managed. Everyone we met were hospitable and polite. The hotel had an inhouse onsen which was very clean albeit small. Dinner comprised Keyseiki and breakfast was a wonderful set served on a tray. I stayed in a Japanese style room. Beds comfy, strong WiFi and aircon was good. No complaints.

This is my third stay in about 10 years. Previously, I was with my children, but this time I am with my wife. The purpose of this visit is to enjoy the fireworks hosted by the hotel at a leisurely pace. It is scheduled to be held from July to August in 2022 (a total of 12 times), so we decided to visit on that date. Fortunately, the weather was good, and I was able to enjoy the spectacular fireworks for about 15 minutes, thinking, ”What? Such big fireworks at a hotel?” and ”Are they still going to launch them? Is that okay?” Breakfast was a buffet, but the fruit was carefully cut and beautifully arranged so that it was easy to eat, and the salad was placed on a plate with lettuce and broccoli, and guests could add onions, chicken, etc. to their liking. In addition to taking measures against infectious diseases, I was happy to see that they were thinking of their guests. The tankan and ponkan juices were also very delicious. The outdoor pool can be accessed from the sea, and you can feel the openness that you cannot get from an indoor pool. I recommend it for families with children. After taking a bath in the natural sand bath, you can take the elevator to the upper floor and enjoy a hot spring bath overlooking Kinko Bay. I thought this was a service that only a large hotel could provide. There is no denying that the facilities are old, but the rooms do not feel that old and are well-cleaned. The staff are unpretentious but polite, making this a comfortable hotel.

It used to be called ”Coral Beach Hotel”, but now it's called ”Hotel Shogetsu”. Is the name change due to the seawall construction in front of the hotel? This time we stayed on a JTB tour. There were 3 of us, but I thought there would be an extra bed in the twin room, but I was given a large room with a western style room with a twin bed in the corner room and a Japanese style room. It was very comfortable because it was more than twice the size of a normal twin room. Kagoshima Bay spreads over the entire balcony from the room, but I was a little worried that the shore in front of me was under construction. In the early morning, the beautiful scenery of dawn spreads out, so if the weather is good, I think it is essential to get up early. Ibusuki Onsen is famous for sand baths, but this hotel does not have such facilities, so we took a shuttle bus from the hotel that leaves every 20 minutes to a nearby municipal sand bath called Saraku. This is also an interesting experience. Dinner is at the hotel banquet hall with the same tour, but the tables are separated by groups and the distance between the tables is so far that you can't talk to them. The food was delicious and the amount was sufficient, but you can also order additional items such as binago tempura, sashimi, and bonito tataki. All of them are delicious and I am thankful that I can enjoy the local taste for about 800 yen. I was able to enjoy Kagoshima because Ibusuki shochu was also placed. Breakfast was at the same venue, but the landlady came to greet me and I thought it was a polite hotel. The hot spring at the hotel was a sodium spring, and the large public bath was large and comfortable. It's a small hotel, so it's good that it's not crowded.

I used it for the first time this time. The employees were good and satisfied. It took a little time to move to the sand bath, or it was warm to the core of the body. I want to go again.

すべてにおいて細かやな配慮が感じられ、素晴らしいお宿でした。何よりお食事がとてもおいしく、今回の旅行が素晴らしいものとなった一因でもありました。担当の中居さんの笑顔も素敵で、チェックアウトの際には駐車場まで見送っていただき、車が見えなくなるまで手を振っていただきました。娘二人がまだ幼いころ住んでいた鹿児島を二人の結婚を機に再訪し、思い出を再確認する旅でしたが、こちらのお宿のおかげでまた思い出が一つ増え、素晴らしい旅となりました。お食事をする部屋も娘の名前にちなんで選んでくださり(めずらしい名前なのでたぶんご配慮いただいたものと思います)感動しました。旅行が好きでいままで多くの宿泊施設に泊まりましたが、上位３本の指に入ると思います。機会があればまた訪れたいお宿でした。

There is a coffee maker, but it is worse than Nestle, and the table is easy for the folding table in the home center. The teapot and the hot water swallow are about 140 cm high from the floor, so it seems to drop when used.
