It is very convenient, very walkable to shops and eateries around. Indeed very clean and comfortable. There are ample parking beside and around, not worth it to park at the hotel. Rooms are compact and efficiently laid out.

Superb hotel with direct access from JR station, and 1min walk to the tram stop and sightseeing bus stop. Staff was polite and patiently assisted and provided map on information we needed. Lovely bath salts for our use. Self service luggage deposit allowed us to continue exploring the city after checkup. Recommended stay at Kagoshima.

We loved the view from the room, Sakura Island was just in front of us and we could actually see smoke coming out of its crater which was pretty awesome. The pools were also nice and the traditional restaurant near the lobby had some great Japanese food. The service was excellent, too. The only downside was that the bus stop is a bit far and walking to it in the middle of summer isn’t pleasant. But a taxi to the main train station costs around ¥1,800 which isn’t bad.

The staff members were very hospitable. Check in was fast and Jeffrey gave us detailed explanation of the facilities of the hotel. He also greeted us every time he met us in the lobby. While the renovation in the room is old fashioned, it is kept clean. We were very lucky that we had good view of Sakurajima during our two days stay. Breakfast in the lobby cafe and dinner in the Japanese restaurant were good.

Except for the need to ring the doorbell and ask the counter to open the door when I wanted to leave my luggage because it was not yet the CHECK IN time, everything else went smoothly. The room was very spacious and the bed was very good to sleep on. The location was really not far from Terukuni Shrine and Shiroyama Observation Deck (at night If you want to enjoy the night view, it’s best to bring a flashlight to illuminate the road because the hiking trail is quite dark)

We love this hotel so much. The breakfast is so yummy and the bed is very comfortable too. The hot spring is superb. The view is beautiful even if rainy weather.

The single room is quite big. The bathroom is big with a bathtub. The air conditioner is controlled by buttons. You can take a bus to the train station. The Kagoshima Airport Line is nearby. Amazing breakfast , very adorable onsen , excellent location and friendly staff makes this place highly recommended to a tourist looking for comfortable and reasonable price . I spent three nights and I wish I could spend even longer time there due the comfort and convenience of the property . Free facial masks is an extra ❤️

Overall pretty good. Just opppsite the jr station with underground access. Sakurajima was covered by clouds when I was there.

My sincerest gratitude to the professional service and helpfulness of the front desk staff in particular the Div. Manager, Mr. Atsuyoshi Kubota, who patiently search for available medical service during late hours for treating my wife's injury and also voluntarily arrange a staff to accompany us to the hospital. Ram Kumar, the accompanying staff, is instrumemental in our communication to the medical personnels and he is so kind to arrange late dinner for us at the hotel's discretion. They not only demonstrate the highest level of professionalism but also their genuine care of the well being of the customers. Once again, big big thanks to Mr. Kubota and his team of beautiful people. By the way, good breakfast and dinner, both in terms of the menu as well as service and venue.

All the hotel staff were very polite and kind. The rooms were spacious, clean, well-equipped, and well-furnished, and the beds were comfortable. Coffee beans and grinders were provided, so I was able to enjoy freshly brewed coffee in the morning. I was also able to rent a private bath twice, and although it was cold when I got out of the open-air bath, I was captivated by the beautiful garden view, and the water temperature was just right, so I was able to warm up quickly. The only disappointment was the attitude of the staff at the shop. First, there were no baskets, so when I asked for one, they said ”Please wait a moment” in a slightly irritated tone. It feels like a high-end hot spring hotel. The large open-air bath and Norikiri hot spring bath are both beautiful. The room is very comfortable. The scenery near the hotel is also beautiful. He drove us to the bus station and it was a very satisfying trip to the hot spring hotel. The only drawback is that there is a long downhill slope from the bus station to the hotel. It is difficult to walk down with luggage. If you drive by yourself, there will be no problem.

Typical Japanese-style room, beautiful view outside the window. The camellia in the hotel is in full bloom. Akamatsuyu is great. I saw it twice during my stay at the hotel. It was a pleasant surprise. It was snowing, and it was wonderful to soak in the hot spring in the snow. The meal was also good. The dinners were different for two nights, which was considered for the guests. The hotel has its own hiking root, and you can see the waterfall when you walk over. The overall feeling is great.

As soon as we got out of the car in the parking lot, a staff member greeted us and showed us around. There is also a walking course through the 100-year-old cedar forest. Dinner with a view of the forest was delicious, featuring local cuisine. After the meal, free coffee and tea was served in the lounge on the third floor, and the cedar forest from there looked great. I was thrilled when a flying squirrel flew up to the cedar tree right in front of me. The hot springs are also very large. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in is an old hot spring hotel. It is said to have been passed down from generation to generation. The Japanese-style garden design is very beautiful. The hotel service is very good, providing daily pick-up and drop-off services to the airport, Hayato Station, and Kokubu Station. The stay was average. Ample car park space. If there isn't, just ask front desk and they will direct you to park at adjacent site, which we did. Hotel did request we surrender car key to them, probably to move car in event of need. We chose not to. The breakfast spread was great, a typical Japanese full breakfast. Was pleasantly surprised by the generous servings and beverages. Room has musky smell so we had to use personal air freshener to at least sterilise the air in room. Else, all average. Thank you.

Very old hotel, similar to a farmhouse, in the mountains, very quiet, very close to Kagoshima Airport. A taxi is 3800 yen. There are not many scenic spots around the hotel, walking distance, nothing special, they are all hot spring hotels, purely for leisure, the hot springs are good. The food provided by the hotel is quite good, the pork and beef are super good, and the crab and sashimi are also very fresh. Every meal will last. There is only a toilet in the room, no wash basin. The bathroom is a large public bath for men and women, and there are also open-air baths. It is very small, 500 yen per person, and reservations are required for both men and women. The rooms are all mountain facing and the view is nice.

[Good] The location is great, very close to the Sand Raku Hall (and the bus stop), by the sea, it's very pleasant to fall asleep listening to the sound of the waves at night. There are sand baths (1200 yen) and hot springs, very comfortable. [Bad] Maybe it's because it's a Japanese inn. The cleaning lady suddenly opened the door with a key and came in to make a blanket for me while I was still in the room, which scared me. (Japanese inn service habits?) [Summary] Super cost-effective, elegant environment, friendly and kind service staff who can speak English.

I first chose this hot spring hotel because it was close to the Sand Sand Hall so I could try Ibusuki's famous black sand bath. But it turns out that this hotel is also quite comfortable. The location of the hotel is a bit remote, it takes 10 minutes to get off the bus from the bus station. The facilities and cleanliness of the hotel are acceptable, and the dinner is quite rich. The only thing is that the front desk swapped my double room with my friend's single room. I had to negotiate many times to get an extra set of towels and bathrobes, which is a point deduction. But overall this hotel is still worth recommending.
