West Lake, Lingyin Temple Scenic Area
Environment: Located in a small village in Lijilong Mountain, there is an independent parking lot for self-driving, which is free, and there are slow charging piles, 1.6 yuan per kilowatt-hour, which is new energy friendly Facilities: There is an outdoor small swimming pool, which is not big overall, suitable for children. The village is full of tea gardens, suitable for casual walks, and there is a shared space on the first floor for quiet sitting Service: Both the parking command guy and the restaurant chef are very enthusiastic, especially the front desk Cui. We came late, she also helped us check in and took us to the door of the room, and arranged breakfast for the children, which was very thoughtful There is a tea village below the village, and there is a green tea nearby, which are all popular restaurants. It is also okay to walk to Lingyin Temple, which is faster than the traffic jam during the holidays

Breakfast was lousy, nothing much to eat. Room is small and the wall is dusty despite it being just cleaned before we checked in. Need to wait very long for hot water at the basin tap in the morning. Bathing area water pressure is not strong enough. Staff at concierge makes us pay more for adjacent rooms and did not offer free upgrade unlike other hotels. Only good point about the hotel is we can request for free items such as mosquito repellent and eye masks, and they are delivered by the robot. If the items are not available, there is no follow up from the staff. There is smart toilet bowl. Location is near railway station but not near train station.

Overall is ok, with a great restaurant, and a chef making superb omelet. But there are 3 points that made the experience a bit disappointing: 1. the gym was temporarily closed. 2. The room I booked, a king Deluxe, was very very small, too small for being a Deluxe, and for a leisure hotel like this. The bathroom has no bathtub, and even not enough space for towels. 3. The staff was always apologizing for some inconvenient, but didn't instead try to solve the problem. For instance in the pool side, I asked for a couple of drinks with ice and straw: they had no straw and no ice there, and didn't want to ask the bar or the restaurant to bring, so I only can take it in that way, with their apologies. Really not what you expect in this kind of hotel.

The service was great, the staff were nice and really did their best to assist. I would like to especially mention Yuan (not sure about the spelling) who attended to us when we arrived on our first night. she assisted with my questions even if we had to use a translator. I had so many problems at one time as it was our first night and she tried to patiently give me a solution or an answer. We got lost going to the hotel as we came by metro and the maps were not accurate enough to find it easily. We asked three people and the last one finally called the hotel to ask where it was. When we reaches the hotel, the one on duty was already waiting for us at the door. Just when we thought the tea time was over, as we were tired and hungry after all that searching, that’s when she brought a new batch of creme brulee and nicely designed yoghurt. I kid you not, that’s the best tasting yoghurt for me ever (I’ve tasted so many all these years from many different countries and brands). The breakfast had enough variety and good quality food. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

We stayed in this hotel for Spring Festival. The location is great, in a quiet area of the water town but very close to the Main Street. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Beautiful view!

The room is very spacious, and with free mini bar too. The hotel staff is very friendly. When you order for food delivery, the cute hotel robot will send it to your room. The location is not too bad. Need to walk a bit to reach the nearest subway station. The breakfast standard , has fruits , chinese cuisines and western ham and eggs.

Qianjiang New Town
A very good hotel, to sum up a few points: First, it is close to Qiantang River, and it is unique to watch the tide in the river view room, especially in the chess culture room, playing Go (I only know Gobang) and watching the scenery is really enjoyable! And it is very close to Raffles and Vientiane City, and the location is still very advantageous. Second, it is very friendly to children. Seeing that we took the children away, they directly upgraded our room type for free, and also gave us breakfast and fruit platter for dolls; third, the buffet breakfast on the 32nd floor must be praised, with rich food, beautiful scenery, and comfortable environment, like a king's breakfast. The waitress, seeing that we are from other places, also enthusiastically recommends tourist routes and avoidance suggestions. Fourth, the facilities in the room are very good, the bed is very comfortable, there are 4 free drinks in the small refrigerator, and the tea bar has 4 types of tea leaves, and there is also a capsule coffee machine. I especially want to praise the air purifier and direct drinking water, which alone can be ranked in the forefront. Fifth, the hotel has a strong atmosphere of Go culture. It has two museums and many Go-related historical and cultural exhibits on each floor. It is very suitable for friends who like Go.

Aman in Hangzhou is the perfect staycation destination. The environment is calming and beautiful, relaxing and natural. The staff and service at Amanfayun is probably the best second only to the hotel grounds itself. The room was beautiful and had probably the best sleep I’ve had in a long time as the room becomes completely pitch black and the bed is super comfortable. The spa was unreal, with an ensuite for every service (1 or 2 people). The spa is located next to the pool which had to be my favorite thing about staying there - the afternoon tea by the pool was amazing, delicious, and so cute. It wasn’t hard to feel comfortable or communicate because the majority of staff speaks English. The hotel has 6 places to eat, but I will say as someone who doesn’t eat meat it was a little hard to find options at the hotel but super easy to order food in! If you do eat meat, no problem, there are many options. Definitely recommend Amanfayun to anyone but especially anyone looking for a weekend away with family, a friend, or a loved one. Thanks Aman!
