We were given a high-floor room, and the breakfast was quite good – they even provided a complimentary breakfast for our child. We didn't get a chance to try the late-night congee, but I imagine it would have been good too. Cleanliness: The cleaning staff were very enthusiastic and did a thorough and clean job. "This newly opened downtown hotel, built in 2025, is a gem! It's just a 3-minute walk to Kunming Old Street, Shuncheng, and Jinma Biji Archway. Plus, there are tons of amazing food options nearby, making it the perfect base for any food-loving adventurer. The entire room features smart controls, and the bedding is incredibly comfortable. While the hairdryer isn't a Dyson, the Laifen is still excellent. We even received complimentary welcome fruit upon arrival, and the minibar is entirely free. The concierge was proactive in helping with our luggage, and the views from our 28th-floor room, overlooking the city lights at night, were stunning. The 24-hour gym is a huge plus, allowing me to work out whenever I wanted – a truly thoughtful amenity. Many star-rated hotels are still stuck with traditional satellite TV, so it was a delight to find that this one offers screen mirroring that works seamlessly. The smart entertainment system is a standout feature, and I give it a big thumbs up! (*≧∪≦)👍🏻 Now, let's talk about breakfast: The selection of Chinese and Western dishes is extensive, including many authentic Yunnan specialties. The rare pea flour, kumiss, five-color glutinous rice, and flower cakes were all outstanding and delicious. My only regret is not getting to try the Eggs Benedict – a slight disappointment. The restaurant service was exceptional. The staff were friendly and attentive, proactively guiding us to our table. They even offered coffee to go, cleared plates promptly, and provided warm and thorough service throughout. This truly enhanced my experience. Justin Liu deserves a special mention for his proactive enthusiasm and prompt responses. Five stars!"

"I was very satisfied with my stay. Although the location isn't super prominent, the bedding and towels were new, and the whole place was clean and bright. It had large screens on the windows, so ventilation was excellent. The mattress was just right, not too soft or too hard, and there were two types of pillows, which was perfect for my tired back and neck. The shower had great pressure and strong water flow – I didn't want to get out! The hotel upgraded my room, so I had a lot of space for just one person. I didn't book breakfast, but I did go down for coffee and two eggs and observed that it looked quite good, better than at other Ramadas I've stayed in, so it's worth considering. It's close to the north entrance/exit of Kunming Railway Station, which is convenient for high-speed rail. The subway is a bit far (the exit is on the south side of the station), but Kunming isn't that big, and taking a taxi to places like Green Lake, Dianchi Lake, or Dounan isn't expensive."

"This hotel is quite good, offering excellent value for money. For just over 100 [currency, presumably CNY], they provide airport shuttle service, and even offer late-night snacks after 10 PM. Upon check-in, the front desk gives out small gifts – that crispy rice cracker (guoba) was delicious! The flower pastry (xianhuabing) was also good. The Jinbi Hall Hotel (Nanping Pedestrian Street Jinma Bijifang Branch) provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. Visitors to Kunming will find that the Jinbi Hall Hotel (Nanping Pedestrian Street Jinma Bijifang Branch) is a fantastic accommodation choice. The hotel is conveniently located just 3km from Kunming Railway Station and 26km from Kunming Changshui International Airport. Transportation around the city is also convenient, with WUYI RD. Metro Station within walking distance. There is no shortage of things to see in the area, with the Dongfeng Square, Majia Courtyard and YunFang ShangYeQu (HuanCheng NanLu) all nearby. After a long day of sightseeing, guests can retire to the comfort of the hotel. This Kunming hotel features parking on site. If you demand a high level of service, our guests have indicated that this hotel has excellent standards. For guests traveling with families, this hotel is consistently one of the most popular choices.

"Facilities: A bit old, but generally pretty good. The bed is neither too soft nor too hard. The duvet is fine with the AC on, but it can get a bit warm without it, given Kunming's large temperature variations. There's a small garden and an outdoor hot tub, but apparently it's not usable. It's very photogenic though! The living room and bedroom are separate, which is great for families or multiple families staying together as you can chat comfortably. There are also seating areas in the room corridors where you can relax and talk. Being inside the scenic area, the courtyard rooms are quiet. Other room types might be a bit noisier. At midday, it can feel quite bustling outside with traffic and vendors calling out. The courtyard suites, however, are not noisy at all. The location is in the Jinbi area, not far from Nanping Old Street. Just cross a road and walk through Nanping Hui, and you're in a commercial area. For food and drinks, there are snacks right downstairs, though not many main courses. I think the options across the street are better. The hotel breakfast is à la carte and needs to be ordered a day in advance. We tried it one day, but after that, we opted for takeout or ate out. The hotel service is quite good. They have a butler service, and the staff's attitude is very pleasant. When we had a delay, they helped us coordinate a later checkout. For transport, since it's within the scenic area, you'll probably need to walk a bit after getting off the car. However, you can also have your car drive to the parking lot, and there's an elevator near the exit that takes you up."

"This time, I traveled to Kunming with three seniors, and my overall experience at this hotel far exceeded my expectations. I have to give it a full five-star rating. The hotel environment is quiet, and the room cleanliness was impeccable; it was fresh and comfortable to stay in. The day before check-in, I communicated with the front desk, explaining that we were traveling with elderly people and hoped for two adjoining rooms, specifically avoiding rooms at the very end or beginning of a hallway. The staff was very thoughtful and upgraded our room type for free, arranging the two rooms next to each other, which made it easy for us to look after each other. This is incredibly important when traveling with seniors. The hotel also provides a free breakfast, which was sufficient, and the elders were used to the food. Throughout our stay, the service was responsive and prompt to all our requests. The hotel originally offered a complimentary room photoshoot, but due to a schedule conflict with the photographer, it couldn't happen. However, the front desk made a great effort to coordinate and advocate for us, showing a very sincere attitude. Although we didn't get the photos in the end, I could truly feel the staff's dedication. Many thanks to all the staff for taking care of our group. Choosing this place for a trip with seniors brought great peace of mind. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Kunming!"

"We had a wonderful stay at Moonlight Courtyard Hotel during our trip to Kunming. The hotel boasts a truly unique ambiance with its beautiful and tranquil courtyard design. The moment we stepped in, we immediately felt a sense of relaxation. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring, making us feel right at home. The hotel also offers a fantastic array of complimentary services, including breakfast, afternoon tea, sweet soup before bedtime, free laundry service, Chinese tea tasting, and even a Hanfu experience. While the room rate isn't the cheapest, I believe it's absolutely worth it, as they provide far more than just a place to sleep – it's a complete and thoughtfully curated experience. During our stay, I wasn't feeling very well, so having such a quiet and comfortable environment to rest in was incredibly important to me. The staff's concern and care truly made me feel comforted and supported. The hotel's location is also very convenient, being close to Nanping Pedestrian Street, Jinma Biji Archway, and Kunming Old Street, making it easy to get around and find places to eat. Thank you to the entire hotel team for your care these past few days. I would gladly stay here again on my next visit to Kunming and would highly recommend it to friends who appreciate a charming courtyard style and a thoughtful accommodation experience."

Not only did he meticulously explain all the hotel's services, but he also upgraded us to a lake view room on the 43rd floor, which offered a superb view. ## Facilities: Although the interior facilities are a bit dated, they come with up-to-date features like electric curtain openers. ## Hygiene: Generally, the hygiene was good. The staff (front desk, housekeeping, and pool staff) were all very enthusiastic and responsible, offering me a lot of help. However, some corners and edges could use improvement, such as the large water stains on the balcony. ## Environment: The environment is quiet. While the location isn't exceptionally unique, it's convenient for getting to the train station and Dianchi Lake, and it's very peaceful for sleeping at night. ## Service: All the staff were very hardworking and enthusiastic. Thank you for all the help during my stay. We had two children, and they even gave them a hot spring ticket and a souvenir. Overall, this is an excellent choice for a family trip to Kunming.

1. **Check-in Area:** The check-in counter, or front desk, was quite shabby. The computer keyboard was practically caked in grime, and don't even get me started on the sofa next to it – it looked very unhygienic. 2. **Dining:** The breakfast area was a bit cramped, with just four small tables by the street. If you're a party of more than two, you'd have to sit separately, or you might even have to stand and wait for a table. The coffee, however, was good. I only had breakfast once: a cold quinoa salad (see Photo 6) served with bread that had an overpowering artificial creamer flavor. I had been looking forward to the rice noodles for the next day, but serving didn't start until 8:30 AM, which was far too late for my rumbling stomach. Early risers and those who prefer hot meals should seriously consider other options or make alternative arrangements. 3. **Room (2nd floor) - Noise Issues:** Don't even think about getting any sleep at night. After 11 PM, there was still noise along the street, along with the clanging of the garbage truck. (Seriously, I'd strongly advise against staying in the Old Town.) The next day, it started pouring before dawn, and the sound of the heavy rain kept me awake as well. 4. **Room - Facility Issues:** The room I stayed in was supposedly the quietest in the entire hotel. It featured a large bathtub and a bathroom where the toilet and shower area lacked wet/dry separation. Unable to deal with the wet floor, I decided to shower in the bathtub. That's when I discovered Problem #1: the glass partition was completely transparent, with no curtain or frosted glass. The staff member claimed this was 'design.' Then came Fatal Problem #2: the bathtub had no running water, haha! 😄 5. **Room - Odor Issues:** Upon entering, there was a strong musty smell. The staff claimed it was due to 'raw wood,' but it's been 8 years and it still smells like that? Quite amusing. 6. **Staff (Pre-Check-in):** Before I even checked in, they asked me to cancel my booking on the platform and pay them privately for a discounted rate. I have this in writing. This is definitely a huge red flag, and I'm surprised they even dared to suggest it. 7. **Staff (General):** The individuals themselves were nice enough, but I was surprised to find that all the 'Jixiashan' staff were quite young, without uniforms, and seemingly without direct supervision, which gave a very disorganized and casual impression. 8. **Housekeeping:** I was quite satisfied with the housekeeping. Seeing the clean duvet and towels gave me peace of mind (P.S. the pillows were also comfortable). The hotel's facilities are very old; no matter how clean the bathroom tiles were, they still looked run-down, compounded by the dim lighting. Therefore, I feel the housekeeping staff here really have a tough job. 9. **Building Structure:** One morning, during a heavy downpour, when I opened my 2nd-floor room door, the entrance was essentially flooded up to my heels. It was quite a feat that the water didn't spread into the room. At night, there were no lights, so I had to grope my way back to the room along the dark corridor. It would be quite difficult for someone who doesn't remember their way (see Photos 1-2). 10. **Hotel Amenities:** One night, I heard the guest next door return, unable to open their door with the key, and had to call a staff member for help. They chatted for a bit outside the door before the staff member finally told the guest a 'trick': 'The key needs to be inserted a certain way, and the lock has a particular mechanism...' That's quite a struggle – needing a special technique just to get back to your room! 11. **Minor Details:** The room key had a very large, bulky leather tag attached to it. Absolutely no consideration for travelers on long journeys with limited luggage space. Who would want to carry such a bulky thing around? I originally had high hopes for the 'Jixiashan' brand. When I was in Shangri-La, I heard their Meili store had a collaboration with Kolon, which made me think they had good taste. This Dali Ancient City location is their first store, but it turned out to be such a low standard. Given the daily rate, I guess I understand why. This particular store cannot be found on 'Jixiashan's' mini-program; it's categorized under 'Wang Shenme Chuan Qu Le'.

Lijiang Pullman Resort Stay Experience My trip to Lijiang this time, I chose the Pullman, and it truly exceeded my expectations. I was quite worried initially because I saw so many negative reviews, but personally, I'm very satisfied with the Pullman, and the value for money is exceptional. Excellent Location, Quiet and Convenient The hotel is right next to Shuhe Ancient Town, within walking distance. The most pleasant surprise was being able to see Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from the room. The scenery, especially near the breakfast restaurant, is picturesque – every photo looks like a painting. Naxi Courtyard, Every Step a Scene With a 150-mu garden design, featuring white walls and dark tiles, small bridges and flowing water, the entire hotel feels like a Naxi garden. The individual villas are scattered among the greenery and streams, offering great privacy. Enjoying the breeze in the courtyard in the evening was particularly delightful. Spacious Rooms, Thoughtful Facilities I stayed in an individual villa, and the space was very generous. The bedding was comfortable, and the room was equipped with broadband internet, a cordless phone, and plenty of charging ports. The 24-hour in-room dining service was very convenient; after a tiring day of exploring, it was great to order a late-night snack and eat it right in the courtyard. Overall, this is a resort that perfectly blends Naxi culture, natural scenery, and modern comfort. Whether you want to quietly relax or explore Lijiang, this is an ideal choice.

I stayed for two nights at the Hotel Indigo Lijiang Old Town, and it was by far the best accommodation experience during my entire Yunnan road trip. I truly can't recommend it enough! The hotel boasts a superb location at the south gate of the Old Town, just a few minutes' walk to Sifang Street. While nestled right next to the bustling Old Town, the hotel's courtyard remains exceptionally quiet and serene, perfectly balancing the lively atmosphere with a peaceful retreat. The overall design seamlessly integrates the culture of the Tea-Horse Road caravans, with thoughtful touches everywhere – from the saddle-shaped front desk and horseshoe-shaped hardware to the Naxi-inspired soft furnishings – truly creating an immersive ambiance. I must particularly commend the entire staff for their attentive and proactive service throughout my stay: the bellhop readily helped with my heavy luggage, the front desk patiently explained routes for exploring the Old Town and recommended local eateries. Any last-minute requests were handled with incredible speed. Housekeeping was meticulous and thorough, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring I got a good night's sleep after days of travel and sightseeing. The room's amenities were high-quality, facilities were complete, and privacy was excellent. The breakfast included a fantastic array of authentic Lijiang local snacks, all with genuine flavors. Staying here allows you to easily explore the Old Town while also escaping the hustle and bustle for some peaceful rest. Whether it's the design aesthetic, the location, or the warm service, everything was impeccable. Next time I visit Lijiang, this Indigo will still be my top choice!

Booked a three-room private courtyard for our family. The view from the rooms is absolutely stunning. This hotel truly lives up to its 'mini-Aman' reputation, boasting a charming antique style and top-tier room amenities. There are also plenty of free DIY activities for kids to enjoy. I highly, highly, highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates a beautiful environment. The staff's service is also exceptional. Just a heads-up, the hotel is located inside the ancient town, so cars can't pull directly up to the entrance. However, the hotel staff will come out to help with luggage, and it's only a 5-6 minute walk, which isn't a problem at all. The hotel is just a two or three-minute walk from the Mu Family Mansion, truly in the heart of the ancient town. Thumbs up!

Although it was my first time staying at the Liche Hotel, I felt right at home with a sense of familiarity, comfort, and luxurious amenities. It was definitely a worthwhile trip! I was upgraded to a two-bedroom suite, a spacious 240+ square meter apartment with an expansive balcony, two bathrooms, and smart toilets. The mini-fridge was stocked with drinks, yogurt (from Walmart!), daily fresh fruit, delicious rice noodles, and sweet soup – truly princess treatment! A special thank you to all the staff, including but not limited to the butler, cleaning ladies, and restaurant attendants. Your hard work made this stay extra warm and wonderful!

The hotel is located in the old city, within walking distance of Old Street and Shuncheng Shopping Center. There are bars, coffee shops, and art galleries nearby. The room is spacious and well-equipped, and there's a self-service laundry room with washers and dryers on the 7th floor, which is very convenient. The breakfast selection was limited and the taste was average. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful when answering questions, but when I checked out with a lot of luggage, no one offered any assistance.

We had a wonderful stay at Moonlight Courtyard Hotel during our trip to Kunming. I would gladly stay here again on my next visit to Kunming and would highly recommend it to friends who appreciate a charming courtyard style and a thoughtful accommodation experience.

One day in Haidong, as if living in a picture frame I stayed in Kunming for two days on the weekend to escape from work Originally, I planned to stay in Haixi for two nights. By coincidence, I had dinner with an old friend at this hotel. I was shocked by the sunset in the restaurant. The key is that such a beautiful restaurant tastes good, so I decisively checked out of the room in Haixi and decided to stay immediately I booked a family room. The room is very large and the bed is super comfortable. The room is in a single-family villa with a large and beautiful terrace garden for taking pictures and watching the sea. There is also a function area downstairs where you can cook and play mahjong. It is very suitable for families or sisters to travel together The afternoon tea served in the sea view restaurant is also very exquisite. Sitting in the restaurant, you can overlook the 19 peaks and 18 streams of Cangshan Mountain. The unpredictable clouds cover the top of the mountain like snow. After a while, they slowly roll over and coil between the mountains like jade belts. Columns of light pass through the sky like crystals. I sat and watched the clouds for an afternoon, and I felt that I couldn’t see enough.
