"If you're prone to altitude sickness, don't choose this hotel. The diffuse oxygen supply only lasts about an hour, so you have to turn it on manually. I woke up several times during the night, and the oxygen supply stopped working by 7 AM. Nasal inhalation is also an extra charge. The air conditioning system only heats, not cools, making the room extremely stuffy. I was extremely disappointed with this hotel, which is known as Hilton, and I would never choose it again."

Hotel near Barkhor Street/Jokhang Temple,Lhasa
The St. Regis Lhasa Resort is located on Jiangsu Road, the main artery of Lhasa. A 15-minute walk takes you to the Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street area, where you can experience the traditional features and lifestyle of the ancient city. It is approximately 3 kilometers away from the Potala Palace, with a cluster of gourmet restaurants in the surrounding vicinity. A 15-minute taxi ride will lead you to Norbulingka, a typical Xizang-style garden renowned for its unique charm on the snow-covered plateau. Additionally, a 20–30 minute drive from the hotel will take you to Sera Monastery or Drepung Monastery, commonly known as the "Three Great Monasteries of Lhasa", allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the solemnity and grandeur of Xizang Buddhist temples. The hotel boasts over 100 guest rooms, ranging from 61 to 178 square meters in size. Every room offers guests panoramic views of the undulating Xizang mountains, along with spacious living spaces, custom-made furniture, and elegant interiors in all guest rooms and suites. The iconic St. Regis Butler Service is specially designed to provide tailored accommodation experiences catering to the needs of global travelers. Home to Social All-Day Dining Restaurant, Yan Ting Chinese Restaurant and Tubo Bar, the hotel is committed to satisfying the discerning palates of culinary connoisseurs.

"The hotel service was excellent. Staff helped with luggage upon arrival and departure. The room had an oxygen concentrator, and there's a doctor available 24/7 on the first floor, which is a huge plus for guests worried about altitude sickness. Room service also brought up our takeout and a case of mineral water. The Chinese restaurant was delicious, and the breakfast spread was plentiful, especially the rice noodles which were perfectly to my taste. Many foreigners stay here. The one-on-one WeChat service with Riri was incredibly helpful and responsive to all our needs. I'll definitely be staying at The St. Regis Lhasa again next time I'm in Lhasa."

"Extremely satisfied! The hotel is very close to Barkhor Street and Potala Palace, both within walking distance, making its location absolutely superb! The hotel elevator goes directly to the 6th floor, where there's a popular cafe that's perfect for photos. Atour is a chain, so it's very clean and well-equipped with a light luxury feel. The Dyson hairdryer, high-quality pajamas, Peet's coffee, and a coffee machine are all highlights. Most importantly, the hotel also offers a video shoot of the 'dryland scallion pulling' experience, a welcome gift, and afternoon tea/coffee! There's also a butler service; you can just WeChat them if you need anything. Truly excellent! šŸ‘šŸ»"

"Choosing this hotel for my trip to Lhasa was absolutely the right decision; the overall experience was excellent from start to finish. I really must share this with anyone planning a visit to Lhasa. The hotel's location is truly exceptional, right in the heart of the city center. You can walk to Barkhor Street in just a few minutes. A short walk to the left takes you to the Potala Palace, and to the right, you'll quickly reach Jokhang Temple. It's incredibly convenient whether you want to go for morning prayers or explore during the day. Downstairs, there's a supermarket and authentic ******* restaurants, so you don't have to go far for snacks, local specialties, or a quick meal. You won't need to stress about planning your routes, which is perfect for first-time visitors to Lhasa. The hotel's overall ambiance is quiet and elegant, with a strong, minimalist ******* aesthetic. There's no noise or commotion. The guest rooms have excellent natural light and ventilation, and come equipped with 24-hour oxygen supply. After a long journey to a high-altitude area, staying here meant no discomfort from oxygen deprivation, and I slept exceptionally well. What surprised me most was the attention to cleanliness: the room was spotless, with no dust on the floor or windowsills, and the bedding was neat and soft. The bathroom, vanity, and shower area were dry and odor-free, and the towels and toiletries were neatly arranged. Even the nooks and crannies were perfectly cleaned. It's clear the cleaning staff put a lot of effort in, making the stay incredibly comfortable. The front desk staff were exceptionally warm and attentive. Check-in and check-out were efficient and quick. They proactively offered helpful tips on local attractions andę³Øę„äŗ‹é”¹ (things to note) for pilgrimages. Any requests during my stay were responded to promptly and willingly, and they patiently answered all my questions. They even offered hot water and oxygen tanks. When I checked out, they thoughtfully presented me with a local specialty souvenir. Their demeanor was gentle and sincere, with no hint of perfunctoriness. Overall, the location, living environment, hygiene, and service attitude were all impeccable. It offers excellent value for money. As it's the Year of the Horse, I wish every traveler to Lhasa a smooth journey. If I come to Lhasa again, I will definitely choose this hotel. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting Lhasa!"

"First off, the view from this room directly faces the Potala Palace, which is fantastic for photos. This is also why this room type is more expensive than others. The view is priceless, especially when it's the Potala! The night view is even more beautiful! You can just lie in your room and enjoy the scenery! The restaurant's view isn't as good as the room's for taking pictures. Secondly, I don't think the room's cleanliness is 5-star. When I entered, there was a puddle of water in the sofa area that the staff didn't immediately clean up. I wiped it myself with tissues. I believe that when choosing this room type, I pay close attention to details. So why did I give it 5 stars? The hotel offered a complimentary breakfast, and they were responsive on WeChat. Honestly, the details were quite problematic. For example, the welcome note mentioned postcards, but there weren't any initially. They were brought later, but without a pen. While they did fulfill my requests, in the service industry, details should be anticipated before the guest even asks. Finally, regarding the facilities, I could smell residual renovation odors in the room. There seems to be an issue with the drainage in the shower, as water overflowed into the vanity area. Overall, I'm satisfied, especially for younger travelers."

"Honestly, this hotel is truly the light of Mount Kailash. First, the front desk lady was incredibly helpful. She rented climbing photos and requested oxygen tanks, all handled from the comfort of her home. Second, the hotel's amenities are among the best in the area, practically meeting Wanlian's standards. They even have a massage chair. Third, I won't dwell on the hardware, but I do want to touch on the software. I left my watch at the hotel, and the lady even found a time to ship it to me. She was very thorough in her communication and even did the shipping herself. Thank you so much! Fourth, the hotel offers a pick-up service for circumambulation, but this isn't necessary if you're driving."

"I absolutely love Farly Hotel. The staff, both the ladies and gentlemen, are incredibly kind and welcoming. The hotel offers a wide range of activities, like spinning prayer wheels and performing sang offerings. I particularly recommend the evening sound bath experience and the morning Pilates. The instructor's stretching exercises really helped improve my posture. I also woke up early to watch the sunrise, but there's a mountain to the east of Farly, so the sun actually appears about 45 minutes after the official sunrise time. Still, it was a beautiful sight."

"The whole itinerary has a great stay experience, focusing on praise for the front desk Yang Qing. The little girl has a lively and outgoing personality, and the reception guests are very sincere. Not only is the business professional, the check-in and check-out speed is very fast, and the chat is fun and talkative. I consulted various problems related to travel, oxygen supply facilities, eating and playing around. Yang Qing explained clearly and took the initiative to give a lot of practical travel advice. I can meet such a warm-hearted and interesting staff in a different place, and I feel very practical. The overall hardware of the hotel is good, plus the intimate service of Yangqing, the overall experience is directly upgraded, it is highly recommended that all travelers stay, and I wish the kind and enthusiastic Yangqing work smoothly."

"The hotel is located in the bustling city center with convenient underground parking. It's just a few hundred meters from the famous Tashilhunpo Monastery, which we visited. The hotel's breakfast was the best among the six hotels we stayed at during our six-night trip. However, there were two aspects during our stay that I wasn't happy with: 1. The room's air conditioning temperature was locked at around 27 degrees Celsius, and it took a long time for me to cool down after showering at night. 2. The oxygen supply for the morning ended at 9 AM, so I was woken up when the oxygen was cut off, even though I wanted to sleep in. Other than that, the hotel generally met the expected Atour standards."

Hotel near Lobrinka,Lhasa
Lhasa Shangri-La seems to be endowed with a magical perspective that allows you to take in the majesty of the Potala Palace through the window pane without leaving your home. At a straight line distance of only 1.4 kilometers, this close proximity makes every brick, every tile, every ray of morning light and sunset of the Potala Palace a unique landscape painting during your stay. Just a short five-minute walk from the hotel, you can reach Lopblingka, the former summer residence, the perfect place to explore the beauty of art and nature.

"Many people, myself included, often debate between the St. Regis and the Shangri-La, as both hotels in Beijing are quite unremarkable. Ultimately, I chose the Shangri-La for its value for money. I had considered Songtsam too, but common sense told me to be a smart spender. Although the hotel shows its age, its architectural style is grand and refined, revealing luxurious material choices. Time has inevitably left its mark, but a classic car, even when old, is still a classic car. Moreover, service and quality require time to accumulate and withstand market scrutiny. While the Shangri-La may not have many existing locations, it still holds a strong market advantage, and it takes an discerning eye to appreciate it. My butler, Bowen, arranged my room before I even arrived. Looking out the window at the Potala Palace's silhouette in the distance immediately set the mood. He then meticulously delivered on all aspects of my package. I found Bowen to be a man of few words but very steady, highly responsive, and an exceptionally smooth driver. He never asked inappropriate or subjective questions, which I truly appreciated. Over three days, Bowen's accompaniment added a unique dimension to my Lhasa itinerary. Among the few Tibetans I've encountered, he was a definite plus. I sincerely wish him all the best in his work! The Shangri-La in Lhasa lives up to its brand's standards and enhances the reputation of its sister properties. I'm so glad I made the right choice; this will be a memorable and wonderful travel experience."
