During my recent trip to Shanghai, I stayed at the Bellagio, the Waldorf Astoria on the Bund, and the St. Regis Jingan, and the Bellagio was by far my favorite. 1. I was completely won over by the hotel slippers and the minibar. The slippers have a non-slip sole and are very comfortable. The minibar is exquisitely arranged with sophisticated and beautiful glassware—it's an absolute feast for the eyes. 2. The front desk informed me that the minibar drinks are complimentary upon signing up as a hotel member. This is a very generous policy, especially since the other two hotels charged for them. 3. I was traveling with my 6-year-old child and should have paid for a children's breakfast. We also had a 21-yuan snack in the room, and I truthfully reported all of this at checkout. To my surprise, my full deposit was refunded without any extra charges. Thank you so much! 4. The room was spacious and very comfortable, featuring high-end amenities and a great bathtub. 5. The location is excellent. Although many people mind that it doesn't offer a direct view of the river, the Garden Bridge of Shanghai (Waibaidu Bridge) is just a few minutes' walk away, making it very convenient for a stroll along the riverfront. Summary: The Bellagio truly makes you feel at home. It's clear that they genuinely care about their service, rather than just chasing good reviews. Furthermore, none of the staff ever pressured me to leave a positive review.

The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, very close to The Bund and White Magnolia Plaza. The room had large floor-to-ceiling windows, was clean and spacious, and the facilities were well-maintained. The front desk staff and hotel butler provided meticulous and thoughtful service. The indoor circular pool was huge; soaking in the pool and admiring the bustling night view of Lujiazui outside the window completely washed away travel fatigue. The hotel has an observation deck on the top floor, and the complimentary travel photography was excellent. From the second-floor corridor of the hotel, you can walk along the river to The Bund, enjoying the gentle breeze and the vibrant cityscape of Shanghai. I was very satisfied with this trip!👍

My stay at the Atour Hotel Shanghai Bund was an absolute delight, exceeding all my expectations! First and foremost, I have to commend the front desk service. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, making the check-in process smooth and efficient. They made me feel comfortable throughout. The room facilities were complete and well-maintained, but what truly stood out was the cleanliness. Every corner was spotless and tidy, and the bedding was so comfortable, ensuring a truly peaceful stay. The buffet breakfast on the first floor was genuinely excellent. The variety was impressive, offering both Chinese and Western options. The food was delicious, and the ingredients were fresh, catering to different tastes. I left breakfast feeling very satisfied. The location is definitely a highlight. It's incredibly convenient for getting around, and you can walk to the Bund in just a few minutes. It was perfect for an evening stroll to enjoy the stunning Bund night view, and it wasn't a long walk back to the hotel afterwards. This hotel is highly recommended for anyone visiting Shanghai. Overall, the value for money is exceptional. From the service, cleanliness, and dining to the location, I couldn't find a single fault. It was a truly comfortable and pleasant stay. I'll definitely prioritize this hotel on my next visit to Shanghai, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking to stay near the Bund!

I loved this place, and boutique describes it well. From the moment I set foot in the front door I felt right at home with the friendly welcome. Staff could not do enough to help, and their smiles brightened the day of this weary traveller. This extended to the crew staffing the restaurant and bar on the fourth floor where I enjoyed a few very well priced cocktails while soaking up the city views. My room was comfortable and clean and the bed was dreamy. And talk about location!!! A moments walk from gardens and walking street shopping with a charming little bar next door. The biggest problem I had was deciding what to eat for breakfast which the ample options on offer. I highly recommend

The stay was quite good. The front desk staff, Ms. QiQi, was very warm and polite. Seeing that we had a child with us, she proactively offered to provide kids' amenities, which was a thoughtful touch that made me feel very welcome. Upon entering the room, there was no strange odor or stuffiness, and the room layout looked neat. Overall, it was a good experience.

Looking up, a red-brick Gothic church tower stands nearby, new and old architecture echoing each other. On one side, the clamor of a modern metropolis; on the other, the charm of old Shanghai, steeped in a hundred years of history – the atmosphere is absolutely captivating. Stepping into the lobby, the street noise instantly fades away. Retro patterned marble floors stretch forward, while the high, vaulted stained-glass ceiling casts a dazzling light. Sunlight filters through, creating shifting patterns and an overwhelming sense of history. In the center of the hall stands an elegant black grand piano, poised as if ready to play the enchanting melodies of old Shanghai. Colonnades, vintage chandeliers, exquisite floral arrangements – the recent renovation hasn't erased the building's original historical essence but has instead perfectly blended modern comfort with old-world elegance. Every detail is worth a moment's appreciation. The guest rooms continue the serene and elegant style. Dark brown wooden doorframes and a headboard featuring red and gold vintage patterns are complemented by a soft, sophisticated carpet. There are no overly flamboyant decorations; it's understated yet luxurious. The bed is soft and comfortable, the room is bright and airy, offering a tranquil escape from the bustling city. At night, closing the windows effectively blocks out street noise, ensuring a peaceful sleep. The bathroom is spacious, with marble countertops, a retro carved mirror, and even a bathtub. After a long day, a hot bath washes away travel fatigue. The amenities truly live up to the standard of a well-established luxury hotel. The geographical location is undoubtedly the hotel's strongest asset. Situated in the city center, Huangpu District, it's within walking distance of key attractions like People's Square, The Bund, and Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. Stepping out, you're right in the vibrant streets of Shanghai, making transportation incredibly convenient for sightseeing and dining. Of course, a century-old building will inevitably bear the marks of time. Compared to newly built hotels, the room layouts here have a unique retro charm. But this unparalleled sense of historical atmosphere is precisely the most precious gift the Yangtze Hotel offers. If you're tired of generic chain hotels and wish to understand Shanghai in a different way, the Yangtze Hotel is an excellent choice. Here, you're not just staying in a room; you're living a forgotten chapter of the city's past, a gentle reunion with old Shanghai.

The hotel facilities aren't brand new, and it doesn't have all the trendy, flashy stuff you see in influencer-style hotels, but it has everything you need. The AC and hot water work great, the bed is very comfortable, and the toiletries are all there. It's perfectly adequate for a regular stay and doesn't detract from the experience at all – truly great value for money. Honestly, when I stay at a hotel, I don't look for luxury; attentive service and cleanliness are enough. This hotel doesn't rely on gimmicks; it's all about genuine care. It's perfect whether you're traveling for leisure or business, and it's definitely a place I'd choose again next time. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

The location is indeed the biggest advantage of this hotel, right next to the Lujiazui 'Three-Piece Suit' (referring to the three iconic skyscrapers), and within walking distance to the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. It was precisely because of this excellent location, coupled with the appealing room photos displayed online, that I booked a three-night stay with my child during the National Day holiday. The room rate was nearly 2,000 yuan per night, and I also added breakfast. I had expected a stay experience commensurate with the price, but the actual overall feeling was rather disappointing. The frontline staff were very polite and apologized in person for the issues encountered. They also asked me not to leave a negative review on the platform. I'm not intentionally trying to give a bad review; I just want to provide a true and objective feedback for future guests who are considering booking, so they can weigh their options. Many of the issues, in my personal opinion, stem from the hotel management, and I don't want to make things difficult for the frontline staff. Let's focus on the breakfast, which was quite a letdown. The quality of the buffet breakfast was questionable; the green vegetables were steamed until yellow, and the scallions and cilantro at the noodle station were visibly dried out, not looking freshly cut. Most of the dishes tasted poor; it's rare to encounter such unpalatable food at a five-star hotel buffet. Traveling with a child, the breakfast experience significantly detracted from our stay. On the day I discovered these issues, I contacted Trip.com to request a refund for the breakfast for the remaining two days. The room service response efficiency was very low; every time I called for room supplies, it would take over an hour for items to be delivered. Room cleaning was also not thorough enough; on one occasion, a cleaning rag was left in the room. The room hardware showed obvious signs of aging and wear; the kettle was heavily worn, the lid couldn't spring open automatically, and the button was stiff. Furthermore, food delivery couldn't reach the room, and there was no robot delivery service. All food deliveries required guests to go downstairs to pick them up. (On the day of check-out, hotel staff mentioned that if delivery to the room was needed, a waiver agreement had to be signed. The problem is, no one told me this beforehand. Shouldn't these details be communicated to guests during check-in?) Considering the National Day price of nearly two thousand yuan per night, the hardware maintenance, dining quality, and room service all fell far short of what should be expected at this price point. It's a shame, given such a good location. I hope the hotel can improve its service details!

I booked this hotel to visit the Shanghai Museum early in the morning, and it's incredibly close – just a short walk over the Yan'an Middle Road overpass. The hallway has a classic old Shanghai vibe. The room isn't huge, but it has a smart toilet. My east-facing window didn't overlook the street, and I could even see the tops of Shanghai Tower and the Shanghai World Financial Center. The location is truly excellent. It's only about 200 meters to Hong Kuijia for late-night snacks, and the Line 8 Metro station is also very close.

The environment at Star River Bay is consistently excellent. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the facilities are well-maintained. The breakfast offers a wide variety of choices. A special thanks to front desk staff member Xiaoguan, who provided warm and professional service. Check-in was efficient, and she thoughtfully helped us arrange a room with a great view. Any issues we had were addressed quickly, making us feel completely at ease throughout our stay. Overall, the experience was fantastic, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Shanghai! 👍
