"The location is fantastic, right by the lake, which is the most beautiful spot in Zhengzhou. It's lively at night with stunning views. I loved the lobby; it's stylish and cozy. The JW Marriott brand really delivers. The room was spacious with a great view, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was excellent. Breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes, including delicious Hu La Tang (spicy soup) and Rou Jia Mo (meat burger), as well as various noodles. You can even take coffee to go – Marriott is quite generous. The Executive Lounge food was also very good, and the staff were well-trained; we ended up not going out for dinner. Xiao Luo from housekeeping left a handwritten welcome card and folded a heart, which was a lovely touch, thank you. The express service was very prompt, and I appreciated the weather forecast displayed inside the elevator – a thoughtful detail. Lucky at the front desk checked us in quickly; she was efficient and her warm smile was truly welcoming. Ms. Men Jingxue was also very enthusiastic, proactively greeting guests, guiding them to the front desk, and providing information about the hotel facilities and surrounding area. Thank you!"

"On a spontaneous road trip through Henan, we booked this hotel right next to the Drum Tower. The room was tiny; there wasn't even a private spot in the bathroom to change. The 'scenic view' room offered a nice panoramic view of the Drum Tower, which was a plus. However, being above the Drum Tower night market meant it was incredibly noisy at night. The room window was broken and they were fixing it until after 10 PM. Once it was finally closed, it did quiet down. We paid for breakfast vouchers, only to find out the next morning that no one was checking them. The breakfast area was packed, and while they gave out electronic pagers for the noodle station, it was pure chaos and a free-for-all. On the bright side, the hotel has its own parking lot and EV charging stations, which was very convenient. After checking out, the hotel called asking for a good review, which I found incredibly annoying. It makes me suspect their high ratings are probably inflated."

"Overall, it was decent. It's located next to the City of David. The reception is on the 7th floor. The first room I was given had a constant noise. After calling the front desk, they sent someone to fix the issue and then moved me to a different room.
Breakfast: There was a good variety of food, but I didn't really eat much of it. The pan-fried dumplings were really good, but also incredibly hard; I only ate one. Breakfast only had drinks, 5 types of fruit, pastries, bread, meat, and Hulatang (spicy soup). While it looked like a lot, when it came to eating, it was just okay. It felt like a lot of it was pre-made rather than freshly prepared."

"I had a very satisfying stay here, and it was excellent value for money. The location is superb; Gulou (Drum Tower) is right across the street, and it's incredibly convenient for shopping and visiting the ancient city. The subway station is also close by. I booked a room with a mahjong/card room because I wanted a king-sized bed, and since it was too hot to go out during the day, we spent our time indoors – it even saved us the cost of renting a mahjong room elsewhere. The butler service was also very attentive and responsive to all our requests. The entire guesthouse offers a quiet escape in a bustling area, and it's quite spacious. The decor perfectly embodies a traditional Chinese aesthetic."

"The front desk lady was super nice and even gave me a free room upgrade! The environment was great, and all the facilities were well-maintained and new. Really good! Plus, the location is excellent; I could find fantastic places for all three meals and was very satisfied with the food. I'm very pleased! 5-star review! Great value for money, spacious room, and a good location. A friend recommended this hotel to me, saying it was pretty good. "First off, the location is incredibly convenient; it's just a few minutes' walk to Shangheyuan. The room itself was very satisfactory, and perhaps because it was off-season, the price was quite reasonable. There's even a makeup studio right outside the hotel, perfect for getting dolled up before heading out to explore. The breakfast isn't a fancy, high-end spread, but it was absolutely delicious, especially the freshly made scallion pancakes. The auntie serving them was so kind and told us that the flour and oil they use are top-notch, so we could eat without worries. Overall, I'd definitely want to stay here again next time I'm in Kaifeng. I just hope I can still afford it during peak season! Thumbs up! 👍"

Pros:
To be specific, the environment and facilities absolutely blow other Kaifeng hotels out of the water. The design is very strong without sacrificing practicality. The suite's internal layout is quite reasonable. Breakfast felt pretty good, especially the dining environment. The high ceilings in the room were very comfortable, giving a sense of space, and the decor details were very high-end.
Cons:
The living room and bedroom in the suite face a low shrub wall, but there's also a path outside where people can walk, so privacy is a bit of an issue. If you don't close the curtains and someone happens to walk by, you're like a fish in a fishbowl. The welcome dessert platter was exquisite, but not tasty, and it was left in the room from check-in until check-out without being removed. The sliding closet door wouldn't close completely and would slowly slide open on its own (a bit eerie at night). There were also some hygiene issues, but I've already provided feedback to the hotel, and I'm confident they will improve.
Despite a few issues, the hotel's environment, location, facilities, and service attitude are all superb. There's no reason for me not to choose it again. One of the hotel's entrances is right at the Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden, and the other is at the Wansui Mountain entrance. Those visiting Kaifeng should definitely give it a try; I don't think you'll find a better option."

This hotel was the best choice for our May Day trip to Luoyang! It's right in the heart of the old town, making it convenient to go anywhere. The attentive service was incredibly satisfying! This is truly the 'Pang Dong Lai' (a well-known, high-quality department store) of high-end hotels – the experience was absolutely perfect! I highly recommend all hotels across the country learn from and emulate this one!
First off, they offer free pick-up and drop-off from the station! Even if the driver was temporarily unavailable, the hotel would help arrange a taxi and cover the cost. These little details really won me over!
The room was super spacious, bright, and didn't feel cramped. The bedding was thoughtfully chosen, and you could even select your own pillow to suit different sleeping preferences – I relaxed instantly as soon as I lay down! Although the facilities are a little old, it didn't affect the experience at all. It was clean, tidy, and well-maintained, with great attention to detail. Any minor flaws were completely negligible.
The breakfast was truly eye-opening, a proper Luoyang food feast! Authentic beef soup was available to our heart's content, and all local specialty snacks were covered. They even had fresh salmon of good quality. It was a perfect blend of Chinese and Western cuisine, offering incredible value for money – you could spend hours just enjoying breakfast!
During our stay, we could also order complimentary snacks, pastries, and drinks. They provided warm hospitality and food throughout the day, so we could eat to our heart's content without even leaving the hotel! The staff were gentle and patient, always responsive, and we felt completely pampered throughout our stay. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Luoyang! I sincerely recommend it!

The overall experience of this stay was very good. The hotel is located in an independent park, with its own garden and comfortable green environment; convenient parking, adjacent to the high-speed, about half an hour's drive from Yinxu, convenient travel. Attentive service, free three meals, convenient dining. The room is equipped with free drinks, snacks and fruits, and the details are intimate. The overall price is outstanding and suitable for travel.
