Luhuitou Sanya Resort

Dadonghai Beach/Luhuitou Square/Serenity Coast
Always my favorite spot in Sanya: private enough, good beach and clean sea, still at a stone drop from the city center. Very convenient location within the city, so it’s possible to go out and discover the food options the city has to offer. The resort architecture and decoration it’s another label, sober and elegant still with a south asian touch and far from the usual bling bling massive resort style. This time I rented the Villa which couldn’t get any better. Beautiful house, and luxurious build: the ceiling was more than 4 meters high! Massive and double walk in closet, bathrooms etc. loved it! Special thanks to Manager Asitha and Ámbar from the Reception. Actually all staff are great, specially the mini car drivers that’s helps to move around and brings the takeaway orders.
Banyan Tree Sanya

Dadonghai Beach/Luhuitou Square/Serenity Coast
The location is lovely - ocean on one side and mountains on the other side. Landscaping is beautiful. Our villa was very private with the vegetation. Listening to the birds and seeing butterflies made the experience even better. Mia (reception) was available whenever we had questions/concerns. She was very professional and kind. Whenever we had food delivered, the delivery personnel was always efficient. Housekeeping was friendly and efficient. The spa was enjoyed by my daughter. She had a scrub and a water treatment which she loved. That's why the Banyan Tree is well-known for their lovely spa treatments. The personnel was great. However, they took away the foot treatment which was disappointing. Consider bringing it back. When checking out, Hickey's friendliness and humor ended our experience at the Banyan Tree on a nice note. I wish I had known the villa pool wasn't heated. Though the temperature was nice in December, it was too cold to swim in an unheated pool. The resort's main pool was available though. The outside tub didn't have working lights which prevented a better experience from happening. More care in the maintenance of the villa might be an idea. For example, our pool umbrella had rips in it and the patio pillows were stained. That's an easy fix. Breakfast was nice in the selection of food. I'm not quite sure how to describe the experience at the restaurant. It was assumed that we couldn't speak Chinese (a natural thought since we are foreigners). When my daughter (fluent Chinese-speaker) spoke Chinese, she was conversing nicely with one female server when all of a sudden another one tapped her on the arm to stop when she proceeded to speak to us in English. I'm not sure if she wanted to practice her English or thought my daughter's Chinese was bad. It was an odd experience. The most bizarre thing was when one of the cooks (Louis Gao) acted as a personal butler for a foreign guest. It was disturbing to the rest of us guests in how the foreigner was getting special treatment... even having salt and pepper put into separate dishes. (Salt and pepper shakers were on his table.) The chef was excluding the rest of the resort guests. Why was this foreign man favored? What made him so special? All of us, other foreign guests and Chinese guests, looked at the ”show” with a feeling of disappointment. Please treat us all with the same courtesy.
St. Regis Sanya Yalong Bay Resort

Yalong Bay/Tropical Paradise Forest Park/Bohou Village
This was my third time staying at the St. Regis. Eaton from check-in, was very friendly and informative about everything happening at the hotel. We traveled for a friend’s birthday so we booked the garden villa. We actually stayed in the exact same garden villa from a previous trip! Our garden villa was spacious and they provided us with a nice welcome snack and wine! Our butler Caroline, was very helpful throughout our entire stay and always made sure we had everything we needed. She was very kind and caring. Throughout the morning or day she would message to see if we needed anything or buggy service. She made sure our laundry was picked up and returned to us in a timely manner. She made sure we received a birthday cake! Our Ayi Parttime, was also very friendly and made sure to make special decorations for the birthday! Breakfast was very delicious with a wide variety of options and free flow champagne 🍾 David from Driftwood was very kind and helpful throughout our stay as well. Overall, the stay was very relaxing and I would stay again. Also, the Ocean and Sky Bar was a nice addition and provided a very relaxing environment to wind down at after a busy day at the pool! Chloe was very nice and made sure we had our drinks or anything we needed. Some things that need improving are: the garden pool villa has too many trees so there is not much exposure to the sun, the pool equipment (chairs and recliners) are out of date and need updating, the Ocean and Sky should have the band play later than 9pm on weekends (it was a great place to relax and chill with a drink but the live music stopped too soon). Besides that, I would recommend the St. Regis to anyone looking for a nice and relaxing holiday!
Pullman Sanya Yalong Bay Villas & Resort
4.5/55833 Reviews
Yalong Bay/Tropical Paradise Forest Park/Bohou Village
We stayed in 4 different hotels during this vacation and Pullman Yalong was by far the most disappointing one, although to be honest part of it comes from expectations. Pullman Yalong is a decent 3-4 star hotel, whose main problem is that expectations associated with the brand make it seem to be something it is not. Chinese breakfast is actually quite decent and has a wide range including MaLaTang, if you are craving Western food though it probably isn't worth the price. They have a big sign near the lobby recommending that you should not bring delivery food to your room, due to health and safety reasons, but feel free to ignore that. We ordered both room service and outside delivery on several occasions and deliveries were definitely a better option. Plus there is a food court and a supermarket not far from the hotel. The pool is quite big and its lower section is well shaded as well which a plus. However it was a major disappointment that the slide was closed(long term) as well as the cool cave you might see on the hotel's photos. On top of that there are some downright ridiculous designs ideas including a horrible pool access and sharp edge stairs inside the pool. The beach in Yalong is all public, but the access to it is limited by occasional path between some of the front row resorts. What this means in practice is that you will have a bit of a walk having to go around Marriot in Pullman's case. The room was OK, even had a bath and a walk-in wardrobe. The high point was the balcony above the pool. Signs of disrepair are visible around the hotel, but to be honest this seems to be the Yalong/Sanya standard at least for the 4 star hotels we stayed in. Jacky, I hope I got the name right, who worked in the lobby/shuttle car was great though. Not because he spoke good English(which he did), but because he had a problem solving attitude and wasn't afraid to approach guests to offer help.
Sanya Haitang Bay Wanda Reign Villa Resort
4.7/52891 Reviews
HaiTang Bay/CDF Mall/Hou Hai
Wanda Reign Hotel in Sanya is located in the center of the scenic area, and is extremely low-key and secretive. Looking from the lobby, Wuzhizhou Island is right at the far end of the garden, giving people a shocking feeling! This time I chose a single-family pool villa. The room is comfortable and beautiful, the bedroom, bathroom and yard are spacious, the constant temperature dynamic circulation pool water is very clean, and the quiet and private environment can fully relax your body and mind. Needless to say, the public area is luxurious and atmospheric, and the garden view is another highlight. The fountain imitating the twelve beasts of the Old Summer Palace and the fountain combination in the European garden style are full of romance and pleasing to the eye. It takes about seven or eight minutes to walk along the green garden corridor to the beach to watch the sea. The Yiyuan Restaurant in the park has a rich breakfast, and there are also exquisite dishes from the classic South Beauty. The hotel housekeeper added a good WeChat the day before checking in. When I got there, it was Lucy who received me and made me feel at home! During the period, Lucy always responded to my various questions in a timely manner. The quality of the entire hotel staff is relatively good, from the guy driving the shuttle bus to the restaurant waiters, they are all dedicated and professional 👍💐. In short, this trip to Sanya left us with a good impression.
Coral Hotel Sanya Wuzhizhou Island

Wuzhizhou Island
Staying at Wuzhizhou Coral Hotel for one night was the right choice for this trip to Sanya. There are hotel battery cars to take you to the pier for going to and from the island, and there is a fast track for boarding the ship. The room rate includes a free ship ticket. You can enjoy the quiet island scenery after 6pm and before 8:30am the next day. Saw the beautiful sunset. It left a wonderful memory for this trip.
Narada Resort & Spa Qixian Mount
4.7/53001 Reviews
Baoting Mount Qixian Tourist Resort
Staff was very nice, although the level of english was close to 0 for most of employee at the reception, except big boss Mr Huang. But I repeat, all the staff was very nice and very helpful. The hotel asks for a 500RMB deposit ; when you leave the hotel, you must wait the « room check » to be sure that you didn’t drink a coke, a sprite, ate a tiny bag of chips or break anything. On these aspects, a cheap 120rmb/night hostel has better service than this five star hotel. Otherwise the location is very nice, the private hot spring is very nice. Chinese restaurant is very good. A great thank to the very nice and helpful staff.
Mission Hills Resort Haikou

Perimeter of Haikou Airport/Mission Hill/East Coast
I recently stayed at this 5-star hotel, and I must say, the experience exceeded my expectations. The staff were incredibly friendly, always greeting us with warm smiles and making sure we had everything we needed. A special shout-out to the Manager, Justin, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. His attention to detail and willingness to assist at any moment truly made a difference. The hotel itself is stunning, with luxurious amenities and a relaxing atmosphere. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for exceptional service and a memorable stay. Five stars all the way!
Aegean Suites Holiday Hotel

Yalong Bay/Tropical Paradise Forest Park/Bohou Village
Small quiet hotel good away from crowds, small lobby. Facilities slightly old, but apartment style room comes with washer and mini kitchen and fridge. Balcony with ocean view of yalong is lovely, and can dry clothes under the sun. Access to beach front is 5mins walk past the pool area. Breakfast is moderate, mainly chinese food. Evening view is nice to eat at terrace.
Grand Metropark Villa Resort Sanya Yalong Bay

Yalong Bay/Tropical Paradise Forest Park/Bohou Village
The place is always appealing, with its magnificent gardens and fully immersed in a green and well-kept environment. Everything is very clean, both outside and inside the villas. The staff has been always kind and attentive to our needs. We especially enjoyed the abundant breakfast, sitting outside with a nice view over the quiet lake. Going to the beach and back is very convenient, thanks to the shuttle service, very effective and timely. We only regret we couldn’t enjoy the dinner buffet, because the music was always too loud, preventing any conversation. This can be easily improved.
