"An incredible return visit — Cape Sienna never disappoints
This was our second stay at Cape Sienna, and it was every bit as wonderful as the first — maybe even better. We stayed for 9 nights and were sad to leave.
What struck us right away was that the staff remembered we were returning guests. That kind of attention to detail says a lot about how this hotel treats its guests, and it made us feel genuinely welcomed from the moment we arrived.
The views here are simply amazing — the kind you find yourself stopping to take in every single day, whether from the room, the pool, or the restaurant. Cape Sienna’s hillside position gives it a real edge, and it never gets old.
The location is another huge plus. You’re close to everything you’d want — restaurants, beaches, and activities are all within easy reach, so you get the best of both a peaceful retreat and easy access to explore.
And then there’s the staff. Every single person we interacted with was warm, happy, and genuinely helpful — the kind of service that makes a good hotel into a great one. It’s clear the team here takes real pride in what they do.

"We were absolutely thrilled with this hotel! This was our first trip to Thailand, and we have no regrets whatsoever about choosing this place. We even got a free room upgrade. Check-in took literally 5 minutes, and they helped us with our luggage. The front desk staff were always incredibly sweet and polite, explaining everything thoroughly. If we ever needed a towel, slippers, or even just to heat up some food, they were always happy to help. Our room was cleaned daily and was spotless. We had a comfortable king-size bed, crisp white linens, and pillows that were perfect for me.
The view from the rooftop pool deserves a poem of its own – the sunsets were simply incredible!
The hotel is surrounded by numerous shops and massage parlors, everything you need is right at your fingertips. There's also a night market just a 7-minute walk away.
We will definitely be returning here for our next trip!"

"Facilities: From the lobby to the rooms, breakfast, pool, and even the mini-zoo, every area reflects cleanliness, tidiness, and professionalism.
Hygiene: Exceptionally clean! It's a garden-style hotel with 4 pools, and numerous professional, butler-like staff are constantly maintaining it. Even the bottom of the pools are scrubbed clean daily!
Environment: No need for many words, just look at the pictures.
Service: I stayed at a nearby orchid hotel from August 1st to 5th. After checking out at 12 PM on the 5th, I wheeled my luggage over. Although the two places aren't far apart, walking with a suitcase in the heat was exhausting! I arrived completely soaked. The lobby staff, Eddie and BAO, proactively helped us with our luggage cart. The front desk also offered refreshing iced tea and cold towels, which were much needed! The check-in process was explained in great detail, and we were provided with a map."

"An excellent hotel. Great hospitality, friendliness, comfort, and security. It's close to the sea and offers good value for money. I happened to catch the Kata festival and greeted friends while traveling around the island. I had a wonderful night, and they even upgraded my room. March and April are low season in Karon, with little shade and extreme heat. You can really only be on the beach early in the morning and late in the evening, at sunrise and sunset. The hotel has a lovely, cozy pool."

Spectacular views of the sea from the rooms make this resort a winner for feelings of peace and solitude. My room included a ceiling fan and a separate rain shower next to the bath tub. A massive free breakfast buffet starts the day for most guests, with changing options on a daily basis. Before breakfast I walked down the steep driveway to the private beach to swim either in the sea or the small pool next to it. At 7 am there is nobody around. One morning I took out a kayak (one hour free) which had stunning panoramic views. There are two swimming pools by the resort’s main building and both are delightful for swimming and relaxing.
Nothing much to do in the evening and the TV channel selection could be expanded with movie channels (e.g., HBO, Cinemax), educational channels like Discovery Asia, and nature channels like BBC Earth and Love Nature. I partook in a 90 minute herbal pack massage which was a bit pricy but very professional. Both lunch and dinner menus have sufficient variety of dishes and food quality was good. Staff were always helpful. In summary, Supalai Scenic Bay Resort is a wonderfully serene experience at a very reasonable room price.

Overall, I had a pleasant stay at Sunset Beach Resort. The facilities are a bit dated, but they are well maintained, which I truly appreciate. You can tell the resort takes good care of what it has.
The location is generally fine, though the beach directly in front of the resort isn’t the best. Patong Beach is about a 300+ meter walk away, which is manageable, just something to note for guests who expect a beachfront swimming spot.
The only part that slightly affected our experience was the shuttle service — not a big issue, but a memorable one. On 1 February, around 5:30 PM, we informed the front desk that we needed the 6:30 PM shuttle to Bangla Street. We even confirmed it twice and were told to sit and wait, as the staff would notify us when the shuttle arrived. We made sure they knew exactly where we were waiting.
By 7:00 PM, after no update, we went back to the front desk only to be told that the shuttle had already left. The staff apologized and admitted she had overlooked us, and arranged the next shuttle.
Nothing serious — just an unexpected extra 30 minutes of “resort relaxation time” we hadn’t planned for. 😊
Still, aside from this hiccup, the stay was comfortable, and with a bit more attention to shuttle coordination, the experience would be even better.

We chose this hotel because it was on the Bang Tao Beach (first line) and the location of it was on the western side of the island so we could watch the sunset. Also the hotel is really eco friendly, you may find it even in the kits and toiletries. The girl at the reception was very helpful and thanks to guys helping with bags and luggage. We also enjoyed afternoon tea.
Tiny things I didn’t like (1) the sound of the air con, for me it was a little bit loud, (2) expected various fruits for the breakfast not only litchi and dragonfruit.

Guest UserThe hotel indeed has very few Chinese guests, but they were still quite friendly towards us. I'm not sure if it was because they initially messed up my name, or for some other reason, but they upgraded us from a family room to a suite, which was large and beautiful. We were very satisfied with our stay, and there was an ocean view right outside the window.
The hotel environment is nice, but the breakfast is just average. It's not too far or too close to Jungceylon and the seafood market, about a 20-minute walk, but taxis are quite expensive.
The only downside is that it's too noisy at night; you can hear all the sounds from the road and the bars, and the soundproofing is a bit poor.

Enrico888I booked a one-bedroom villa, and after visiting and comparing several units, I truly believe Villa #68 is the absolute best among the one-bedroom options! The layout and size are optimal!
The villa boasts a generous 550 sqm, offering huge space and a comfortable layout. It comes with a private pool that directly connects to the beach, making both privacy and the views impeccable.
The amenities are also comprehensive: a sauna, indoor and outdoor dual showers, and an outdoor bathtub, instantly delivering a complete resort feel and comfort.
The hotel itself has a very natural, ecological island vibe. We saw lizards several times on the villa rooftop and by the pool. At first, it was a bit scary, but they are actually very docile and completely non-aggressive – a rather unique wilderness experience.
Breakfast was just okay, nothing special. The service was excellent throughout; all staff members were enthusiastic, friendly, meticulous, and attentive. A special shout-out to Liam, who provided dedicated service from start to finish, always responsive, patiently helping us arrange all our needs with professionalism and warmth!
However, there are a few objective points that deduct from the overall score:
Firstly, the hotel's landscaping and gardening are rather ordinary compared to other resorts in the same category. Most of the public areas are sandy, with sparse and poorly maintained plants, making them generally not photo-worthy.
Secondly, the in-room facilities are a bit dated, especially the bathroom. The quality of the fixtures and sanitary ware like the toilet and showerhead feels quite common, which doesn't quite match the Luxury Collection brand positioning.
Getting to the island involves a bit of a journey, from the airport to the pier and then a speedboat transfer, but it feels worth it upon arrival.
If you're looking for an extra-large private villa, private pool, direct beach access, and excellent service, this place is still highly recommended. However, if you are sensitive to the public area landscaping and the newness of indoor hardware, you might want to do a bit more research.

I would like to extend my thanks to all the staff in general, and specifically to Ms. Cha for her high professionalism, kindness, and her constant eagerness to help with a smile. She was quick to respond to my requests and made my stay more comfortable and exceptional. I thank her for her excellent attention, and I will be returning to the hotel again on July 27th, thanks to the excellent level of service.

Initially, I planned to stay just one night as a transit, but then decided against Racha due to the rainy season and rough seas, and just booked two nights at the Renaissance instead! It completely exceeded my expectations.

The Renaissance's service is truly exceptional! From check-in, the staff were incredibly friendly and proactive. Their well-trained, yet familiar and warm smiles and greetings made us feel very comfortable. The room had handwritten mirror art, a handwritten welcome letter, and we even received small handwritten gifts at the restaurant. Especially by the pool, a staff member literally ran over to set up our sun loungers, immediately brought cold drinks, and handed us towels – so enthusiastic and attentive! [Thumbs up][Thumbs up]

The room was very, very spacious. We booked a standard room, and it comfortably accommodated two adults and two children. There was a sofa that could be converted into a bed, and the bathroom was also large. The room even had a balcony. It was very quiet for sleeping, with no airplane noise at all. The soundproofing was excellent, and we slept wonderfully.
Dining
The breakfast was abundant! The fried rice with chickpea curry was so delicious, I couldn't stop eating it. For dinner, there's a famous Thai restaurant with a great ambiance, and the mango sticky rice was tasty.
Overall, it wasn't crowded at all – it offered that perfectly unhurried, comfortable, and suitable vacation vibe! It's ideal for those who dislike crowds and prefer a pure, quiet, and relaxing hotel-centric holiday!

The environment is very natural and pristine, with a massive garden, lush trees, and modern architecture. The pool is huge, with several shallow play areas, perfect for families with children under 6. The main pool is 1.4 meters deep – imagine relaxing in the water while gazing at the sea! There's also a bar right by the pool. The hotel's private beach, although the waves are too strong for swimming, boasts water the same clear, blue-green color as the pool – absolutely beautiful. The hotel breakfast is incredibly rich, offering not only standard Western options but also many local specialties like curries, pandan cake, sticky rice desserts, and Thai milk tea – all delicious! There's also a wide selection for lunch and dinner. The prices are comparable to outside restaurants, and while there's a service charge, it saves you the time and effort of going out, making it ideal for lazy guests like us who just want to relax at the hotel. The hotel also has a spa and massage services, along with a gym. There are different activities scheduled daily. The staff are friendly, polite, and always willing to help. For payments, credit cards, Alipay, and WeChat Pay are all accepted. Guests come from all over the world, truly a mini United Nations, which is very interesting. However, the hotel's location is a bit remote, which might not suit those who prefer a livelier atmosphere.

We stayed in Building 6, which was close to the elevator but surprisingly quiet. Both balconies faced the pool. The first pool has a 0.9m kids' pool and a 2.5m deep-water pool. The second pool is 1.4m deep and has a bar. The third is a kids' slide pool. There's a small 7-Eleven directly across from the front entrance. If you go out the back entrance and turn left, there's a larger 7-Eleven about a 5-minute walk away. The beach is also right outside the back entrance. The hotel's overall service is excellent. Someone cleans daily, whether it's the pools, rooms, or trimming the shrubs. The staff always greet you proactively. Remember to go to breakfast early; after 9 AM, you might have to queue. Breakfast is available indoors (air-conditioned and cool) or outdoors by the pool, where you might occasionally see a cat wander by. Most importantly, one of the front desk staff speaks Chinese, which made communication very easy. I regret not asking for her name; I just remember she was slim, had a slicked-back hairstyle, and was beautiful.
While there are other bars or noisy areas around the hotel, this is limited to the outdoors. Once you're back in your room with the doors and windows closed, it doesn't affect your sleep at all. Of course, our window faced the pool side, so I'm not sure what it's like for rooms facing the street.
There are three designated smoking areas within the hotel: the first is outside the main entrance to the right, the second is behind the bar at the second pool, and the third is to the left of the first and second pools, behind the small hut where you get towels.

When checking in, I asked for a room in a newer building, but was told that my room type was only available in Building D (I later found out it's available in three buildings). So I had to stay in that one. Then, I was woken up at night by a strange noise from the closet. I contacted staff and moved to a newer building the next day. The old building definitely had older facilities, while the new one was much better. The hotel's environment, common areas, and pool are all great, and there weren't many mosquitoes. Overall, I'm quite satisfied.
