Lam KuenIt took about 40 minutes and 390 baht to get to the hotel from the airport using a Bolt ride-hailing service. The hotel room was very spacious, with enough room for two double beds. The air conditioning and water pressure were good. The pool wasn't small, and the water was deep enough for adults. Breakfast offered a variety of Chinese, Thai, and Western options, with slight changes daily. The hotel is conveniently located about 50 meters from the beach, making access very easy. It's also just a 2-minute walk to the main street, offering a quiet yet very convenient location.Areas for improvement: The remote-controlled lighting was a bit inconvenient, there were small insects in the room, and the pool closed too early at 6 PM.

It is definitely a good place to stay for five or six days! I feel that it is the most charming residence on Phi Phi Island, with a seaside cabin, close to nature, walking barefoot on the soft and white beach every day, blowing the sea breeze, and directly entering the relaxation and vacation mode. And the hotel is very quiet. In the morning, you can hear the birds singing and slowly get up, and then have a perfect breakfast. In the afternoon, you can take a nap in your room semi-outdoors and sit in a daze. Occasionally, a small family of three monkeys will visit your room, take some fruit and run away. The hotel's dining is the most upscale choice on this island. The cocktails are first-class, and the lamb chops are great! The spa is also lovely. The service level of the entire hotel is first-class and enthusiastic. Several employees, such as Ms. Ping, speak Chinese very well👍, and the general manager Mr. Becker can also speak some Chinese! In short, it is a perfect resort on Phi Phi Island.

Tati_13They let me check in early, which I really appreciated. I got a spacious room with a terrace on the top floor, so the view was amazing! Great location. The ladies at the front desk were all very smiling and friendly. Housekeeping every day, clean towels, two bottles of water, coffee. The only downside is that my bed linen wasn't changed once during the whole week.

We recently stayed at Sofitel Krabi and had a mixed experience.
What we liked: the pool area was pleasant and relaxing, the breakfast buffet offered a good variety, and the location is quite convenient. The General Manager was polite, and the room cleaning was generally thorough.
What we didn’t like: the rooms felt old and in need of renovation, with amenities of fairly low quality. The staff could be rigid at times, and accessing the beach requires crossing a busy road. Despite being officially prohibited, smoking was allowed in some common areas. Additionally, all services come at an extra cost—even those that are often included in other hotels, such as certain sports activities or pool equipment—and prices are very high, often two to three times more than what can be found just outside the hotel.
Overall, the property has potential and some nice features, but certain aspects left us disappointed given the price point.

I booked a deluxe room and the hotel upgraded me to a deluxe garden villa. The room was pretty clean, and the front desk staff at check-in were very welcoming. However, the hotel's room service was quite subpar. The room cleaning staff took the tip but didn't replace my toothbrush or pool towel. I had to call three times before they finally brought them over... The service staff at the poolside restaurant were good, but the breakfast staff were just so-so.
It's worth noting that you need to place a card on the bed for the cleaning staff to change the sheets; otherwise, they won't. We only found out about this card when we checked out 😂.
The breakfast was okay, just average. Eating by the pool with a sea view was lovely, but since it's an outdoor setting, there were a lot of flies around the food. Despite that, I ate there for three days and didn't get sick, so I guess the hygiene is acceptable.
The beach near the hotel is beautiful in the morning; the water is very clear, possibly due to the morning high tide. However, in the afternoon, with direct sunlight, the water isn't as blue, and the waves get bigger with more silt and sand. So, I recommend swimming in the sea in the morning and using the hotel pool in the afternoon.

ItsnamthipA Perfect Birthday Stay at Pakasai Resort!
I stayed at Pakasai Resort in Ao Nang, Krabi for 2 nights (June 22–24) and couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful experience—especially for my birthday! I originally only hoped for a room upgrade, but the resort went far beyond my expectations and made my celebration truly unforgettable.
From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly warm and friendly. I was pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade, and the surprises didn’t stop there. On my birthday, I was greeted with a beautiful birthday cake, a thoughtful message arranged on the bed, and genuinely heartfelt service throughout the day.
I also booked dinner at GAIA, the resort’s own restaurant, and was treated to a free cocktail to celebrate. The atmosphere, service, and food were all excellent—it was the perfect birthday dinner.
The resort itself is cozy and peaceful, surrounded by lush greenery that makes you feel close to nature. The pool area is lovely and relaxing, and the entire resort has a calm, welcoming vibe.
Overall, I felt truly taken care of during my stay. I highly recommend Pakasai Resort to anyone visiting Ao Nang, especially if you're looking for a place that combines comfort, nature, and genuinely caring service. I’m already thinking about coming back!

Guest UserThe reviews giving this place give stars as their favorite place are a bit overzealous. The views are definitely spectacular but the deficits aren't lacking. The pros do not justify this hotel; simply that ko lanta is a great destination.
Keep in mind: there is no lotion nor conditioner here: curly hair, especially type 4, will suffer. The is no washcloth, phone in the rooms, nor hot tub. Wifi is guarded more than the nuclear football, rooms are certainly worn, there are no USB outlets. For couples: there are definitely young kids here who will never remember the trip, so you may hear crying during breakfast or when trying to get a massage. The maids are neglectful at replacing room amenities, the safe is broken and this place is not vegan friendly. They served me egg in the first dish ordered after recommending I simply let their restaurant know. I did not get the impression that they really understand how to handle dietary needs. The restaurant is awfully overpriced and the food is okay if you even trust the restaurant. Breakfast I stuck to fruit only... I had to go into town for food; Drunken Sailor tasted amazing.
Staff friendliness could use improvement. They could at least try to hide their disdain for tourists better. This is expressed with body language and also verbally as we were told false information more than once, when greetings don't even preface with a hello and when staff prioritize chatting with each other rather than assisting a guest.
When I asked for Sfiff's name, since nobody wears name badges nor introduces themselves.. to properly greet her. She acted like I was asking for her first born son!
They conveniently don't mention that due to Ramadan, there's closed shops and you have to rent a bike to reach the nearest one. That would have saved an hour of time.
If you opt in to the hotel taxi service, it will take 3 hours to reach the hotel at 3,000 baht one way. No food or water after a long flight and travel were provided, so please get it from the airport. Google ”Mun Lanta” taxi for 2200 baht taxi via Whatsapp, where they also provide food and water.
Furthermore, the system to rent a motorbike is convoluted as you will incur late fees if not returned in time. Why not simply charge for the actual time instead of playing games with late fees and guesstimating return time?
This hotel is far overpriced. Get something for half the price, rent a motorbike in town to access better restaurants and the same street. That's my STRONG recommendation.

This was my first time staying at a hotel with traditional Thai architecture, like what you’d see in palaces and temples, and it was such a cool experience. The room was totally worth the price, clean, tidy, and pretty spacious for just me traveling alone. The vibe of the place is peaceful and perfect for relaxing, yet it’s only a few steps away from the beach!
There’s also a swimming pool which is great for families and kids friendly. Plus, there's a local night market not too far away, which was great to check out. The breakfast here was spot on, and the staff were all so nice and helpful.
Overall, I had an amazing time and would definitely come back again! 😍

Food Channel源师傅Ananta Burin Resort is genuinely an excellent choice, especially for families with children. Its main highlight is the 'Fantasy World' pool with its large water slides, making it one of the best-reputed family-friendly hotels in Krabi.
Here are some key points for a quick overview:
* **Top-notch Family Facilities:** The star attraction is the 'Fantasy World' pool area, featuring 5-meter and 8-meter slides, an artificial waterfall, and a lazy river, ensuring kids have a blast. There's also a 'Quiet Zone' pool for adults looking to relax.
* **Location & Accessibility:** The location is very convenient. It's about a 5-minute walk to Nopparat Thara Beach and only 10-15 minutes to Ao Nang Night Market. Restaurants and convenience stores are right outside the hotel.
* **Room Types & Dining:** Family rooms are spacious, and some even have direct pool access. Breakfast offers a wide variety (including ice cream for kids), but reviews are mixed; it can get crowded during peak times, and the coffee and juice are just average.
* **Service & Hygiene:** Staff are generally friendly and professional, but some guests have reported that certain facilities (like restrooms) aren't maintained or cleaned adequately, and occasionally there are small ants in the rooms.
Overall, if your top priority is 'keeping the kids entertained,' this is a fantastic option. However, if you're looking for a romantic getaway or the absolute best value for money, some guests have suggested that there might be more comfortable or private options in Krabi at a similar price point.
