Beach Hotels in Governorate of Muscat, Oman

Disappointing week in a disappointing hotel. From the moment we landed in Oman, the intercontinental hotel was not helpful. When we asked for a taxi, they wouldn’t help us and we had to arrange ourselves. When we asked if we had a sea view, we were told “we had a partial sea view” which was actually a car park and a loud generator which rattled on all through the night. The generator was so loud we had to keep the balcony doors closed all the time. However, one night, even with the doors closed we were kept awake until 3am with loud bangs and clatters from hotel staff loading up vans with furniture after an event at the hotel. When we asked about booking the onsite restaurants, we were told they were all closed apart from the main one. Multiple times when we went to the main restaurant we were told it was too busy and we had to wait and come back later. When we did get into the restaurant, we often had to wait long times for food to be replaced or we given paper cups because they’d run out of glasses! When we tried to get the WiFi at the pool, there was none. When we tried to use the creams in the room, they’d run out. The staff were lovely and the food was nice but altogether, we didn’t feel looked after and definitely don’t feel this is a 5* hotel.

Facilities: The room is a little small, and the facilities can be seen to be designed many years ago, but the hygiene is good Environment: The overall environment of the hotel is very good and grand Service: Active and enthusiastic, upgraded the room type for the anniversary, and prepared a cake, which was a little sweet but delicious~ The room itself also prepared chocolate and dates. Actively help with luggage Breakfast is by the pool, blowing the gentle sea breeze~ The breakfast is also quite rich, there is a Chinese area although it is small~ The beach is great after low tide, first-class sea catching, you can catch it all the way under the bridge, many big sand crabs, big hermit crabs, conchs, fish...

This is my second visit to Muscat and I was impressed by the pool, which is over 100m long. The pool is truly gorgeous! Since August is the low season, there are not many guests at the hotel and you can swim in the pool alone, as if it were your own private pool! In fact, there are 3 pools. So you can choose the one that suits your taste. Perhaps, swimming in the Gulf of Oman did not impress me much. Let's just say that there are better seas. But, on the other hand, there is always such a small percentage of vacationers who want to swim in the sea that most people just need to go in, jump in the waves and get out. In terms of enjoying the beach, the experience here is 100% positive. The service on the beach is excellent! They constantly bring ice water with lemon and mint, offer refreshing napkins, and treat you to fruits. The hotel is designed in a traditional Arabic style and fully meets the idea of ​​a luxurious holiday. The dark palette in the interiors emphasizes the architecture and gives a sense of sophistication. For guests who book villas, the Amouage bath line is offered. In simpler rooms - Аsqua di Parma, which is also not bad! As for the food, in my opinion, it is ordinary, without frills. I received undoubted aesthetic pleasure from staying in this beautiful place, but the hotel did not make any gastronomic impressions on me. At the same time, there are no complaints about the service. Everyone I dealt with - reception staff, beach staff, waiters are exceptionally friendly and responsive!

A beautiful and comfortable hotel on the shore with excellent service, comfortable rooms and picturesque views. The hotel's restaurants and breakfast are of a high standard. The hotel provides a shuttle to the malls and Mutrah Souq. The staff is very friendly and also assists in organizing tours. The location is a little far from the center, as well as malls and attractions, but is excellent for a quiet and comfortable stay.

The hotel is in a very good location, right in the embassy district. Although it is a little older, the overall stay experience is very good👍

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. The hotel's maintenance and cleanliness were impeccable, truly world-class. And the breakfast? It was a delicious, flavorful feast unlike anything I've ever had. A well-deserved 5 stars!

The hotel is 7 or 8 minutes walk from Qurum Beach, convenient to see the sea view, but there is no large business super nearby, restaurant. I am a girl, traveling alone, and the stay experience at this hotel is very poor. First of all, the taxi at the entrance of the hotel is the hotel's internal car team. The slaughter of passengers is serious and unreasonable. I took it once. The original fare of 5 rias was charged 10 rias. Finally, I took a more detour. When getting off the bus, the Arab driver shouted at me for 2 more riya, quite rude. When I left, I had to take a taxi to the airport and stopped a taxi at the door, but the uncle of the hotel taxi team called the other taxis and forced my luggage to his own trunk, not saying that they had to take the same price. I was angry, but they were unreasonable, and they argued with each other. I called the manager of the hotel, and the manager looked at it and then stood by! Secondly, during my stay, I was knocked on the door by a local drunk man in the next room. I later learned that this hotel has a bar, and the local wind is not good.
