"This Dragon Boat Festival, I brought my family to Qingdao for a trip, and the hotel we stayed at was quite satisfactory. The room had central air conditioning, a refrigerator, a washing machine (with a dryer), and even a kitchen where we could cook. We bought seafood from a nearby farmers' market and borrowed pots and pans from the hotel to enjoy a delicious seafood feast. Food delivery was very convenient; the delivery person would drop it off downstairs, and a robot would bring it to our hotel door a few minutes later. The kids loved this novel experience and had a blast. When traveling with young children, comfort is key. Most hotels only offer a bedroom and a bathroom, but the rooms at Haiyi Hotel were spacious and made for a very comfortable stay."

The Wutong Guesthouse (Weihai International Bathing Beach Huoju 8th Street) provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. The Wutong Guesthouse (Weihai International Bathing Beach Huoju 8th Street) is an ideal choice for travelers who want to take in the sights and sounds of Weihai. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling with families.

"When I came to Weihai three or four years ago, I booked this guesthouse, and I was very satisfied with it at the time. So this time, I chose it again. However, the check-in experience was not as satisfying as the last time. The first obvious issue was the elevator – it took forever to catch one. The second was the room's cleanliness; the glass door of the bathroom was completely grimy, and the shower area was right outside the bathroom door. After showering, the entire bathroom floor would be wet if you needed to use the toilet. Plus, the shower drain was clogged and didn't drain, leading to standing water. The third problem was the sewer smell. It was somewhat tolerable with the windows open during the day, but at night, with the windows closed, the smell filled the entire room. Luckily, I only stayed for two nights. If you're booking the same room type as mine, I suggest you inquire about these issues beforehand. The location is convenient; the beach is right downstairs, and there are people singing on the beach at night. For this room type, parents with small children should be aware of the steps, as kids might trip easily at first."

According to our guests, this hotel provides a very high level of service. For guests traveling with families, this hotel is consistently one of the most popular choices.

"I stumbled upon this hotel with a floor-to-ceiling sea-view window room online and immediately fell in love with it. So, I took advantage of the three-day Qingming Festival holiday to visit Weihai. I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, and the actual experience was fantastic! From the hotel's **exterior**, it felt like an older four-star, but once I entered the lobby, the overall impression was very neat, clean, and bright. You could tell that the hotel put effort into maintaining its facilities. The staff were also very enthusiastic, even calling a day in advance to confirm my itinerary and preferences. The **service** was excellent. Since I arrived quite late on the first night, after 10:00 PM in Weihai, I booked a **standard king room** for the first night. It offered a street view, not the sea. The room was quiet and very clean, perfect for a good night's rest. On the second day, around 9:00 AM, we moved to the sea-view room I had been looking forward to. I booked the **Deluxe Sea View Terrace King Room**. The room was still very clean and quiet. The interior decoration was on par with a five-star hotel (though the walls were a bit patchy and could use a repaint). Upon entering, there was a bathtub, and then the super large floor-to-ceiling window and terrace came into view. In front of the window, there was a soft sofa, which was incredibly comfortable and relaxing for drinking tea or coffee – it just made me so happy. The view from the terrace was also stunning; the sea was very clear on sunny days. In the evening, you could watch the sunset from the room. What could be more romantic than that? The **breakfast** restaurant was a sea-view restaurant with a huge floor-to-ceiling window. Outside, there was a trestle bridge, the sea, and seagulls – the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. The breakfast selection wasn't super extensive, but it covered most Chinese breakfast essentials, and the taste was good. For a four-star hotel, it was really impressive. The **location** is in Huancui District, not far from attractions like Torch 8th Street. There are also many good restaurants nearby. Downstairs are Jinshatan Beach and the Jinhaiwan Trestle Bridge, where many seagulls hover. The hotel has an elevator that goes directly to the beach, and guests are given an exclusive wristband. For families with children who want to play in the water during summer, it's very convenient – you can go straight back to your room via the elevator to wash up after playing. Overall, the accommodation experience was excellent! Full marks, highly recommended!"

The Facing Sea Hotel is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. The Facing Sea Hotel offers a pleasant stay in Weihai for those traveling for business or leisure. Boasting a convenient location, the hotel is just 5km from Weihaibei Railway Station and 53km from Weihai Dashuipo International Airport. This hotel is located near many of Weihai's attractions including Linhai Park, Xiao Shi Dao and Xiaoshi Island Sunset Viewing Platform. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. Guests tell us the location of this hotel is fantastic. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling with families.

"Service: From the hotel staff to the restaurant waitresses, everyone was lovely and very enthusiastic. Location: It's in a prime spot on Torch 8th Street, very convenient. You can directly access Torch 8th Street from the hotel's second and third floors by elevator, so no need to climb hills, and it's great for photos. Room: We booked a sea-facing room, but trees were blocking the view, so we could barely see the ocean directly, which was a bit disappointing. You definitely need to stay on a higher floor here! And those rooms are even cheaper than ours! Cleanliness: It was just before peak season, so it was getting a bit crowded, and the cleaning wasn't as thorough. There were wrappers from kids' snacks near the sofa and some unidentified hair on the bed. If you like lively places, this is good, but if you prefer quiet, I'd suggest the Golden Sands area; it's less crowded and the hotels there are better. This place feels more like a guesthouse than a proper hotel. Overall, the value for money isn't great, so I wouldn't highly recommend it."

"The location is excellent, right above Binjiang Plaza. We stayed on the 62nd floor, and the view was absolutely stunning; we could even watch the sunrise from our room – it was truly beautiful. It's very convenient to get to Yantai Mountain, Chaoyang Street, and Hongkou Road, all within walking distance. Even though we were on the 62nd floor, the elevators are divided into high and low zones, making it very efficient. The only issue was parking; it cost 30 yuan per day, and since we stayed for four days, the parking fee was 120 yuan, which felt a bit high. The room was spacious, perfect for traveling with parents and children, especially with two bathrooms, which allowed for privacy – very convenient. We could also cook. All the in-room amenities were complimentary, and they provided over ten bottles of mineral water, plus half a pack of disposable bath towels, also free to use. We could contact them via WeChat if we needed anything, and they would prepare and deliver it promptly. The service was top-notch. Overall, it's definitely worth recommending."

"A warm homestay, the stay experience is super good, I live in a sea view room, and the sea view is the first! Even if you don’t go out and sit by the window and watch the sea, it is a kind of enjoyment. The hotel also has an open-air observation deck. The best place to watch the fireworks show at night is the sea. It is very convenient to go downstairs for shopping and eating. The boss is also super enthusiastic. Provide us with super practical play guides, Longkou is very good, come back next time!"

Qingdao Meishu holidays seaside hotel on the 30th detached villa with sea view villa, European rustic and elegant environment, facilities fine. Check here, you can Gechuang sea, sunset sent a long day; afternoon nap city and rest in the courtyard, stroll the beach at night to see the tide. Or with Sanwuzhiji wine carnival, Hang wanderer, graceful joy. Qingdao Meishu hotel on the 30th seaside vacation villa is an ideal venue to relax and unwind leisure and business travel.

"The facilities and hygiene were excellent, and the aesthetic was beautiful. I loved relaxing in bed, looking out at the sea. The shower had incredibly strong and consistent water pressure. I really liked the stone-like floors and bathroom. To eat, you have to go out, but I had already planned to try some local specialties anyway, not eat nearby, so a taxi from the entrance was only 10 yuan. I was a bit worried about people being outside the gate, but there were hardly any, and it was completely quiet. The sunken design is quite interesting; I imagine the rooms directly facing the sea above are even more comfortable. The Japanese dessert shop was only a few minutes' walk away, but unfortunately, I had eaten too much that day and had no room for more. Overall, I was very satisfied. The service was very thoughtful, truly a butler-style experience. Location: You can walk to Wheat Island leisurely in about ten minutes, and Sculpture Park is a short taxi ride away. In fact, walking along the nearby area in the morning is also very pleasant, though it gets hot by midday. You can walk along the coastline. There are a few sea-view restaurants within five minutes, though the views are better than the food. The hotel has a very small front desk and no restaurant. If you don't mind this, it's definitely worth considering."

Room: The floor I was on was average. The soundproofing was decent, but the facilities are quite old. The TV was slow to turn on, and the bathtub faucet leaked. Both of the children's playpens provided had holes. Service: The service was very mediocre, I'd even say poor. I've stayed in many hotels, and this Westin really underperformed. Especially the front desk staff during check-in – they didn't provide any basic information about the hotel, like breakfast times or the pool's location. We had two kids, two strollers, luggage, and a bunch of bags, and all the staff completely ignored us. Not one person offered to help. The only positive point was the housekeeping gentleman, who was very diligent and responsible despite all the issues. Breakfast: We booked for three consecutive days and specifically included breakfast. The food selection wasn't very rich, and the service was still bad. On the first morning, a Saturday, we went down around 9 AM and had to queue. With the crowd, the service simply couldn't keep up. We were moved twice, and the young lady at the noodle station was flustered. On the second day, they couldn't even replenish cups and bowls in time, and many dishes weren't refilled after 9:30 AM. We just gave up on breakfast on the third day. All food deliveries were sent to a central locker, and we had to call concierge to have them brought up, which added extra work. For this price, this location, and this service, I'm extremely disappointed. Staying here for three days then moving to the Haitian hotel truly showed me that there's no comparison. The Haitian hotel wins hands down. This is a genuine review; it was so bad that I had to comment. The only benefit for traveling with kids was the heated 'vibrancy pool,' which the children enjoyed. That's it.

The positive attitude and service performance of the staff ranging from front desk, concierge/security to breakfast restaurant and house keeping is excellent. The classic hotel personal service with a modern twist makes the stay a memorable experience. On my check-in, Ms Xiao Jiao and Ms Xiao Cong gave me and explained briefly the leaflet on the hotel’s suggested tourist attractions in Yantai. They also enthusiastically exchanged small RMB notes with me. They also gave me a piece of mooncake of my choice (and during my check-out too). The restaurant staff is attentive, replenishing food and drinks and attending to requests promptly. Due to my lack of command of Mandarin and accent, the chef cooked the wanton instead of the mackerel dumplings for me, he immediately served me the dumplings when he realised the miscommunication. The next morning, after serving me the mackerel dumplings, he, I think, recognised me, suggested I could add soup and condiments to the dumplings. I find their fleshly cooked dumplings are even better than the dumplings from the most famous dumplings restaurant in Yantai. The concierge staff on 2 days helped me book taxi using her phone app, paying in advance on my behalf as booking via internet cannot be settled in cash. The concierge/front desk lent me umbrella without question. After a delayed and tiring flight, Mr Xiao Gao brought me to my room and explained the mechanics of the switches in the room. There was a hand-written welcome note from Ms Liu, with 2 cups of white fungus/goji drink beside it. The drink together with the note and fruits in the room, not only soothed my dry throat but also lifted the mood. House keeping provided fruits, white fungus/goji drink and dried chrysanthemum/rose flowers (to prepare for drinking) and 4 bottles (500 ml) of water daily, with up to 14 bottles at the lift lobby on my floor, and guests can also request house keeping for more bottles. On my check out day, during my breakfast, they left at the door handle, a bag of goodies, fruits and bottles of water and souvenirs (4 key chains with various types of sea shells), together with a hand-written farewell/bon voyage note from Ms Liu. Well done The Center Hotel staff, you are a pride to the hotel, the hospitality industry and Yantai!

⸻ Just returned from a stay at Qingdao Yilan Xinsu Hotel—a solid choice near Shilaoren Bathing Beach and the International Convention and Exhibition Center 🤩. With an impressive overall Trip.com rating of 8.8/10, guests rave about its service, cleanliness, and convenience . The location scores about 8.9/10—it’s roughly a ten-minute walk to the sandy beach and sits just 8.5 km from Qingdao’s downtown core and 14 km from Qingdao North Railway Station. Not ideal if you need a car—there’s no on-site parking (). Amenities and service both come in around 8.6–8.9/10, with friendly staff and smooth check‑in/out process (). Cleanliness is top notch with a clean rating of 9.0/10 . 🌞 What stood out: • Rooms are spacious and bright, featuring big windows and modern décor in a sleek New‑Chinese style. Everything felt new and well-kept . • The beds are comfy (2.2 × 2.2 m, pure cotton linens), showers felt luxurious, and the soundproofing was excellent. Also enjoy convenient rapid check‑out service with personal touches . • The breakfast buffet gets solid praise—tasty and well-rounded start to the day (). 💤 Stay comfort: 9.0/10 • Clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed rooms made for a relaxing and bright stay. 📍 Location: 8.9/10 • Close to beach access and the expo center, plus shopping and transit nearby—but no parking if you’re driving. 🤝 Service: 8.9/10 • Staff are described as friendly and helpful; check-in and check-out are seamless. 🛎️ Amenities: 8.6/10 • Offers the basics—Wi-Fi, in-house restaurant (light meals available), and cozy space—but lacks a gym or pool . ⸻ ✅ Quick tips: • Ask for a seaview or beach‑side room—light is great, and views are peaceful 🌊🌅. • It’s walkable to the sand and just a short ride from Qingdao International Convention Centre. • No parking, so if you’re self-driving, plan to park nearby or use public transport 🚉. • No fitness center or pool, but hey—you’re steps from the beach 🏖. ⸻ Final verdict: With modern rooms, sparkling clean spaces, strong service, and a primo location near Shilaoren Beach and the convention center, Qingdao Yilan Xinsu Hotel scores a solid 9/10. Great pick for business travelers or chill beach escapes alike! 😌✨

The Mandarin Hotel is located on Starlight Island in the West Coast New Area, surrounded by the sea and boasting stunning island scenery. As soon as you arrive, you can feel a sense of tranquility, far from the hustle and bustle of the city. The sea breeze creates a wonderful vacation vibe. However, there was an entertainment event on the island that day, so it was incredibly crowded. Stepping into the hotel lobby, the elegant and grand design perfectly blends with marine elements. The glass dome and crystal chandeliers complement each other beautifully. What impressed me most was the self-playing piano in the lobby; its melodious tunes flowed under the dome, adding an artistic touch to the entire space and instantly washing away any travel fatigue. My business twin room was spacious, clean, and tidy. The floor-to-ceiling windows offered breathtaking panoramic sea views. Drawing back the curtains in the morning, I was greeted by the magnificent sight of the sunrise over the ocean. The room was well-equipped, the bedding was comfortable, and every detail showcased quality. The hotel's amenities are excellent. The complimentary indoor pool has clear, well-maintained water and is a good size. It's very well-regulated; you need a swimming cap to use it, and there's also a sauna and hot spring. The gym is fully equipped, and in addition to exercise machines, there's a table tennis room and an aerobics room. The hotel garden is charming, with European-style stone carvings adding a unique flair. Just outside, there's a seaside boardwalk, perfect for enjoying the sea breeze. Parking and EV charging were very convenient, and the staff provided attentive and thoughtful service, making my entire stay, from check-in to check-out, feel incredibly welcoming.

**Location & Value** Good location and size for the price point. The building is actually a residential condo with local residents, which gives it an authentic feel. Connected to the mall at level 6, so convenient access to dining and shopping. Corridors are very dark. **Rooms & Comfort** Rooms are true to photos. Beds are firm but surprisingly comfortable. Plenty of extra pillows and blankets provided. Fair warning though—this property is really more of a service apartment than a hotel, so manage expectations accordingly. **Cleanliness Issues** This is the main concern. Housekeeping mops the floor daily, but the water appears dirty and the floors end up grimier than before. If you're traveling with a child (as we were), you'll need to clean the floor yourself—and housekeeping will undo your work the next day. Frustrating cycle. **Breakfast & Food** Skip the hotel breakfast package—it's just delivery that you could order yourself. Better options are walking distance away. McDonald's is only 3 minutes on foot. **Service** Service is minimal to nonexistent. Asked about getting a local phone number for deliveries and the front desk was unwilling to help. Taobao/package deliveries get dumped in a communal basket with no sorting—you have to search through yourself. **Condition & Maintenance** Advertised as newly renovated in 2025, but visible wear and tear suggests low-quality renovation work. Concerns about long-term durability without proper maintenance. **Summary** Good for budget travelers who don't expect hotel amenities and don't mind doing some housekeeping yourself. The location and price are solid, but the cleanliness and service gaps are real issues.

1. The hotel's location is excellent: it's about 1 km from the Olympic Sailing Center, and there's a subway station very close by, making it super convenient to get anywhere. There are also many dining options around the hotel, allowing us to try different cuisines every day. 2. We were upgraded to a sea-view room. Although the room was a bit old, the cleanliness was good. The bedding was very comfortable, which greatly improved my sleep. The service from the front desk, concierge, and housekeeping staff was all excellent. 3. I have a small suggestion regarding the dining: We checked out at 6:30 AM, just as the restaurant was opening. Since we were in a hurry, we asked the restaurant to pack some breakfast for us to take away. What disappointed me was that, despite the restaurant supervisor mentioning a standard packing procedure during our prior conversation, we ended up with two croissants and two Danish pastries, unwrapped, in a paper bag. I think this standard is too low. At the very least, they should have been put in a food-safe bag to separate them from the paper. This was the only small letdown during our stay.

The hotel boasts a luxurious and upscale design, and the butler service was exceptional. We booked a cloud-view room, and the view outside was fantastic. The only minor drawback was the room layout, which felt a bit cramped and not very open. The breakfast buffet had a great ambiance and offered a rich variety of high-quality dishes. It wasn't one of those buffets that looks fancy but leaves you wondering what to eat; the food stations and customer flow were very well-organized. The Eggs Benedict were particularly delicious. All the soft drinks and snacks in the room were complimentary, and the book about Bloody Marys was quite interesting. I would definitely consider staying here again if the prices are more attractive during the off-peak season.

We took our kids to Qingdao and booked a 4-day, 3-night stay. We got a free upgrade to a sea-view room, and they even gave the little one a sand-digging toy, plus complimentary fruit and drinks. Every staff member provided excellent service; it was a fantastic experience. The hotel has direct access to the beach from the basement, which is super convenient. The beach right below the hotel was uncrowded and peaceful (whereas the area closer to the Shilaoren entrance was packed with people). There are also several large shopping malls near the hotel, making dining very easy. We could order takeout from Hema, 7-Eleven, and Decathlon, which was great because we didn't bring all our gear, haha. The hotel didn't have many parent-child activities; we mostly just dug in the sand and swam during our stay. It would be even better if there were more family-friendly activities.
