My room had a balcony, which was very pleasant to look at the sea, the bridge, and the waves on sunny days. Delivery options are limited; the few that do offer delivery require using JD.com. Service: Adding the front desk on WeChat resulted in a message with information about WiFi, breakfast, and driving routes – a thoughtful and natural service. Breakfast: It deserves special mention because although the selection was limited, the food was quite good, and I enjoyed it. Cleanliness: Overall, it was very good and pleasant. There was a minor leak in the sink drain, but it didn't affect the overall rating."

"This time, I traveled with friends and booked this hotel because of its 'Gulangyu Scenic Spot No. 1 Hotel' tag on Ctrip, and it definitely didn't disappoint! It's a very stylish villa hotel, genuinely converted from a historic mansion. As soon as we arrived on the island, someone was there to help with our luggage, which was a huge plus. The hotel is very close to the beach, making it convenient to get around. The sea view from the room window is absolutely stunning, with a panoramic view of Sunlight Rock. The banyan tree in the courtyard, the corridors, and the balconies all make for great photo opportunities. The hygiene is excellent, and the service is thoughtful. It's very pleasant to sit around with a few friends."

"When I first arrived at the hotel, I thought the location was a bit out of the way, but I was actually very happy with the room and the views. Didi (ride-sharing app) always found a car almost instantly. While it might be a bit further from some attractions, it only added about ten minutes to the ride, and the fare difference wasn't significant. Plus, the room rate was so much cheaper compared to other sea-view rooms! 😃😃😃 (The room was very new and the bathtub was great too!)"

The front desk staff are absolutely wonderful, and the bed is massive. There are so many beautiful flowers, which makes the whole place feel so cozy and vibrant. And the sea view is breathtaking! Sitting on the rooftop terrace in a rocking chair, feeling the breeze and watching the ocean – it's simply unbeatable."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an excellent stay at Neighbors of Hailing. The service was outstanding from start to finish. They kindly picked up my daughter and me from the airport, and later also collected my niece and her two children, which made our arrival so easy and stress-free. The apartment was spacious, clean, comfortable, and fantastic value for money. The staff were always friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. I highly recommend Neighbors of Hailing to anyone visiting Fuzhou, especially if you’re looking for excellent service, airport transfers, and great value. "I spent the whole day at the hotel, enjoying the quiet and beautiful atmosphere. However, it's not always easy to find peace and quiet at Haiyue Villa, haha, because it's full of families with kids. You'll find children of all ages, from babies in arms to preschoolers in strollers and elementary school kids running around. Teenagers might find it a bit boring. When I was planning, I debated for a long time because some reviews mentioned it was an older hotel, about ten years old. But honestly, I found it perfectly acceptable. The overall decor isn't super luxurious; the sofa and carpet patterns might be a bit old-fashioned, and it's not very high-tech, but the overall comfort was good, and my daughter loved it here. The hotel is right next to Huangcuo Beach, just across the road. As soon as you enter the grounds, you feel instantly relaxed – full vacation mode! It's a huge property, lush with green trees, like a whole resort area itself. It's divided into the Main Building, Water Garden, and Mountain Villa, with prices increasing accordingly. We booked a Deluxe Sea View room on the 4th floor and got a free upgrade on arrival to a Nalong (Milk Dragon) themed full sea view room on the 5th floor. The view was even more expansive, overlooking the pool, green trees, the ocean, and ships – absolutely beautiful, comparable to Sanya. The room was spacious, 46 square meters, with a round bathtub on the balcony where you could soak while enjoying the sea view. That experience was absolutely amazing. The Nalong theme was everywhere! There were Nalong duvet covers, two adorable Nalong plushies and throw pillows on the bed, a Nalong mat on the floor, and Nalong murals on the walls. Most importantly, there was a sizable Nalong tent, which kids would surely love. I have to rave about the swimming pools. In the main building area, we visited the outdoor infinity pool and several other pools downstairs from the guest rooms. Not only were the pool views stunning, but they were also quite clean, and there were plenty of lifeguards. Swim rings and kickboards were provided free of charge, and there were also some paid activities to choose from. Through the pool area, there's a small gate that you can open with your room card. After walking through an underpass, you arrive at Huangcuo Beach. Swimming doesn't seem to be allowed, but everyone was wading and playing in the water. Even though it's a public beach, it wasn't crowded. The sand was quite fine, and the waves weren't too big, though there were occasional bits of floating trash. The breakfast buffet was good, but it was incredibly crowded and noisy. If you went later, you'd have to queue. They offered a variety of Southern Fujian (Minan) snacks, and the Satay noodles, Mianxian paste, Guo Bian Hu (pot-side paste), and Peanut Soup were all delicious 😋 The fried dough sticks, pudding, and oatmeal bowls were also very tasty 😋 Oh, by the way, our butler, Xiao Bin, provided excellent service! He helped me book dinner reservations and even arranged a two-hour late check-out! Highly recommended!"

"8/10 – A very good stay with some room for service improvement Overall, we had a very pleasant stay at InterContinental Xiamen. The hotel is impressive, the facilities are good, and our upgraded Premier Sea View room was comfortable with a beautiful view. We particularly appreciated the hotel taking our feedback seriously and making an effort to improve our experience. There were, however, a few service inconsistencies during the stay. Communication regarding our room request could have been more responsive, and we also encountered an interaction with a restaurant management staff member that did not reflect the level of courtesy and professionalism we normally associate with InterContinental. What impressed us was the way the hotel responded after our concerns were raised. The situation was handled professionally, and the effort made to ensure the remainder of our stay was comfortable was genuinely appreciated. Overall, a good InterContinental property with strong potential. With slightly more consistency in service and attention to guest interactions, it could easily become an excellent one. We would be happy to return. Rating: 8/10."
