Poor checkout experience - when I checked out the room, I have left one of the keys in the room. Then the staff at the reception told me to “Go get your key”. I was carrying a lot of luggage and forgot to get the key when I checked out because I was always using one key. I understood he might have a long day, but I would also appreciate more politeness from the staff but not such a cold and rude attitude…overall, the service at this place is so so. The staff at the hotel are not so welcoming. The hotel surrounding area is also very noisy. The restaurants nearby often play live music until midnight 12 AM. There are prayers from the mosque every morning at 6 AM for around 5 minutes. So if you are sensitive to sound and have insomnia problems, I won’t recommend this hotel. For the room, I booked a room with twins beds. But the room is so small that they basically put the two beds together without any space in between. In short, if you have more luggage, the room maybe too small for two people. Having said that this hotel is in a good location, and close to the city centre and near all the key shopping areas and restaurants. Price is also reasonable.

This hotel is conveniently location in the Prai area; close to the highway - access via car or Grab is easy. It is also 6km away from Penang Central for access to the Ferry. Check in was convenient and easy but staff has to update their knowledge on hotel, facility, bookings and room perks; and also the surroundings because clients might ask for information. Room was superspacious, internet was somewhat stable but had trouble accessing some of my work pages (probably network security). Despite looking modern, its also a bit runned down where some furnitures needing a refresh and touch ups (see picture). Bed and linens were spacious and comfortable and airconditioning was manageable. Bathroom was okay with the cute toiletries provided (really cute). My room type comes with free minibar so they refreshed it daily. TV screen is huge but channel selection was limited. Breakfast buffet was mediocre at best but staff were always ever present. The doorman and security are kindest at the hotel.

Great location with New Lane hawker street food right downstairs in the evening! This hotel though is not new but still very well-maintained. Everything in the room is at tip top cleanliness and well furnished. Wonderful housekeeper! I was surprised and delighted to receive a nicely decorated “Happy Birthday” on the bed with a present upon opening the door! It makes my trip more memorable ❤️.

Excellent service from FOA during my check in. I am glad that the room are really spacious with clean towels, great king bed & toiletries and the most perfect mirror for me to get my hijab on. You wouldn't have to worry about the scenery.. perfect big windows with amazing views of the city and if you're really lucky, upper levels have the views that might catch the ocean!!! I had a lovely walk from Little India back to Bayview Hotel Georgetowm after diner and manage to stop for a nice ocean breeze at Penang Esplanade right across The Chambers Hotel.

St Giles Wembly is a great hotel to stay in. I stayed for 3 nights and it felt like home. Sheets and bed were soft and comfortable, floor and furnishing were kept clean after housekeeping cleaned, and the lifts come really quickly. I also loved how the front desk and the staffs were always very welcoming and warm, making every interaction like speaking to a friend. While the hotel looked old, furnishings are very well maintained. For instance, the ventilation in the toilet was so good that the floor dries after a few hours. My only gripe is that while the water pressure is strong, the hot water doesn't come immediately, instead it takes a good 5 mins of running water before I get some form of warm / lukewarm water. The waiting time does get longer after midnight, where the water is just ice cold. Weirdly, the bath tub water gets warm faster than the shower? Which was kind of weird. I also had the opportunity to try the breakfast buffet. While I saw plenty of reviews commending that the breakfast is good, I believe it was sufficient for a local taste, and provided enough quantity. However, the buffet setup was quite cramp and unevenly spaced. The hotel also hosts a bar on the roof, which had a nice view of the city. I ordered a Guinness Stout and got the server to pour for me. I ended up getting a flat stout 🫠🫠🫠. Nevertheless, my stay at St Giles has been great, and I would love to return in the near future.

I love the breakfast plus the location which is located in front of gurney bay park where u can have morning, evening and night run at your convenience. The facilities are varieties including swimming pool, hot/ cold jacuzzi, steam sauna, sauna, gym, kids room, tennis court. They provide green hotel towels for wet facilities. Just that for the sauna, it doesn't seem to work well even after 15min switch on.

We recently stayed at Park Royal Penang Resort and had a wonderful experience. One of the standout features was the complimentary ice dispenser in the level lobby — such a thoughtful and convenient touch, especially on hot days. We were also pleasantly surprised by the daily complimentary biscuits, which added a lovely personal touch to our stay. The resort is perfectly located near the beach and a lively stretch of bazaar street, where we loved the night bustle. There are plenty of dining options just outside the hotel, making it easy to explore local flavors. We also got great help from the customer service team, who assisted with transport arrangements to explore around Penang — so convenient! The staff were always friendly and greeted us with a smile. The hotel itself is clean, well-maintained, and very convenient, with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring that everything went smoothly. Overall, we truly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend Park Royal Penang Resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and hassle-free getaway. Since we had to check out early and had already paid for the breakfast buffet, we requested them to pack breakfast for us. They graciously accommodated our request and made sure to pack the pastries, which was a lovely touch. The level of service truly exceeded our expectations. We had such a great time that we will definitely return to this hotel on our next trip to Penang.

Located in the heart of Penang, it is surrounded by local eatery premises within walking distance. Parking spaces are ample even though the hotel shares parking spaces with St. Giles Wembley. For a budget hotel, the hotel definitely delivered more value than the value I paid for. Even though the room is quite small, it is still cool to fit two pax and there is enough space for us to pray. I had an issue with AC in my room, so I called the staff to check it. It didn't take long for the technical staff to come to my room and check on the AC. Overall I had a pleasant stay at this hotel.

The room was big, which justified the price we paid, but the only thing I didn't like was that when we entered, the floor was sandy. We immediately informed room service, and they took around 5-10 minutes to clean it. Other than that, it was nice.

nothings much to said about its cleanliness cz its super clean... every corner in this resort is soo Instagrammable... kids really enjoy at the kids room & games room.. the fitness room & pool is superb... worth every penny👍🏻 the bellman who wearing glasses with wavy hair is doing extra mile by willing to take our picture without we asking for👍🏻 the waitress wearing hijab (which i didnt notice her name) is very polite in asking us wether we still need anything to eat bcz the bfast will b closed soon... last but not least Mr Nasir (Eng Manager) also give the best service👍🏻

The front desk staff was courteous and polite. We arrived at the hotel earlier than the check-in time but he checked us into the room without any hassle. When we got into the room, the baby cot that I requested when booking the room was not inside the room. Again, when I communicated the issue to the front desk staff, he was very apologetic and promptly sent the baby cot to our room. However, we were a bit surprised when we moved the blanket and there was a strand of hair found on the bed. There were a few strands of hair that were found inside the wardrobe as well. Being tired and already unpacked our luggage, we did not request for a room change and merely picked up the hair and threw it into the dustbin. The bath towels that were provided looked worn and one of them did not smell fresh. Notable amenities absent from the room: shaving kit (available upon request from front desk; but the kit has already expired on 10/2024), hand towels, and facial tissues. Traffic noise will be a problem if you are a light sleeper. Opt for a seaview room if this concerns you.

Parking was very convenient, they will validate for u and ure able to use in n out multiple times. The location is just right opposite hin bus depot, and behind there is quite a number of famous hawker - presgrave Street. The check in was also seamless. Coway machine outside for unlimited refill. Only thing for me is the vibe when I walk into the lobby, and the vibe of the room. I would say basic and old school, nth less nth more. Ure getting exactly what you paid, goid value. lift lobby security can be better as well so not everyone can go up easily.

Rooms are modern with air conditioned, free stable Wi Fi internet connection and private parking, room cleanliness needing improvement.

Highly recommended. Superb location,beside got few shopping mall. Clean room,comfy bed, a lot TV program. Nice breakfast buffet spread. Free lounge access and drinks. Nice lounge setting,cozy,relax,served cake and fruits too. Staff friendly. Small pool.

situated in George Town about 15 mins walk from Komtar mall /bus station and Chulia street, next to a big outdoor food court, front desk staffs are friendly and helpful, room is very basic , small size with no TV and fridge but reasonable price , good value for money, ,suit for my purpose, will stay again if visit Penang.

We were greeted by friendly and professional front desk staff on the first day. Our toilet shower head was already broken when we checked in however technician came over real fast to fix it. Room was spacious enough for 2 of us. Amenities were sufficient. Mattress was medium range. Toilet was clean and no smell with good ventilation. It was abit difficult for check in guest to contact front desk because they didn’t place any phone over each floor that will connect directly to lobby/operator. Even better if they could provide bottle water instead of asking us to get filter water on one of the share tab. Overall it was a good stay and will visit again next round.

The hotel is good despite quite an old hotel itself. My stay was comfortable. Room is clean, but aircond is quite cold for me because the temperature cannot be adjust

Check in on saturday,quite late check in and hotel seems not so busy. Room was okay and toilet was clean but there's leftover drinks with plastic inside the mini bar. Supervisor didnt check the room properly. Hope management will take actions and housekeeping supervisor double check the room before let the guest checking in.

Great location! local market, sunway carnival mall, Billion shopping centre, medical centre, government clinic, f&b, temple of worships all just within walking distance. ample of parking but without cover. You will be getting wet when walk to take your car during rainy day. Free parking and must be validate your card every time before go out. The room is clean. Book & requested for an extra bed(within RM100 per night), pay at hotel when check-in.

Full house during breakfast, luckily the staff are good and efficient to seat everybody Food is plentiful n wonderful as has always been. Kudos to yr staff. Will be staying there again

Very good location, there are lots of food variety opposite the hotel, and also for the hotel breakfast. First time staying & definitely will rebook if happen to go there

its good for those last minute looking for an accomodation. The hotel is conveniece, easy to park, got lift eventhough just few floor, just good for take a nap or for refresh yourself. only hygiene should be improved. Other than that should be just fine. Keep it up 👌

The hotel is strategically located in Bukit Mertajam. The staffs are friendly and helpful. The room is clean with all the necessary basic amenities. Disposable toothbrush is even provided. It is a good hotel to stay just to bunk in for a good night sleep.

Room is decently equipped and clean. For its affordable price, we can't expect too much. But 1 thing to comment, for rooms closer to the access to lift area, it can be very noisy, since the room's door is very much NOT noise insulated. So you will hear every guest talking on corridor. The closer the room to the lift, the much Guests' noise you will receive.
