"it was a good stay, checked in super late and the process still smooth. The room facing the sea opposite Singapore. Hungry strikes at 4am and still gets to order food. The food was superb, I’ve tried the carbonara and curly fries and let me tell you the carbonara tasted so good that I’m scared I will crave for it later later, however it was soaked with oil maybe lessen the oil will do. Unfortunately, missed the breakfast, I bet it taste good too. Thank you!"

"Always stay in this hotel when I want a staycation in JB.
This is the first time I tried their breakfast.
The experience was lousy. The manager asked me to sit outside which is far from the buffet. I asked to stay in but he said inside is for 4 persons. I believed that there was no sitting inside. But after I went in there are many empty seats and tables for 2 persons. I just continue to get a table for 2 inside the restaurant. Worst of all, the manager came to me and asked me why I don’t sit at the table he gave me. I told him that I will sit inside of outside, he showed face to me!
I like this hotel but I will not go for hotel buffet breakfast again.
Food also not nice and refill is very slow."

Love the location. Just a 2-3mins walk from the JB CIQ if travelling via the shuttle train from SG. Sandwiched between 2 malls is definitely worth the price.

Checking in and out was a breeze.
Breakfast was awesome. Waffles and pancakes for the little ones. Chicken and tomyum soup station was a hit. Asian cuisines comprising of nasi lemak, prata, soy milk with you tiao, beancurd station too. There's salad bar, American breakfast stations and cereals. They also have freshly squeezed healthy juice to perk your morning.
The latest station added was the chee cheong station. Simply loved the texture of the chee cheong fun. Can be eaten either with sweet sauce or nyonya curry👍🏽 Teh Tarik station was a pleasant surprise 😍"

"Whenever I come to Johor Bahru, I usually stay here, and honestly, I've always thought it was pretty good. But this time, I was disgusted. There was a hair on the towel under the sink... you can imagine the rest. The hotel needs to keep up with the times, not go backward. They never used to ask for a deposit, but now they do? What kind of hotel still charges a deposit these days? The facilities are also really old and need upgrading. Is it that hard to provide a handheld showerhead? And why do they insist on using those tiny, hard-to-open sachets for shower gel and shampoo? It wouldn't cost much to change, but it's such an inconvenience for guests!"

"The title of the apartment should fall under D'Esplanade instead of JB city Shoping Mall apartments as it is located at the D'Esplanade Residences. The apartment is clean amd fits up to 4 people. Bathtub is abit of a concern as it is made of of acrylic and when you step inside it feels like it will Crack. There is a bidetbspray hose but no bidet gun spray. The sink in the toilet is leaking underneath which causes the floor to be wet. There is also no shower curtain, and when showering , the water tend tobsplashnonnrhe floor outside.thr latch on the door is broken off, therefore unable to ensure safety if someone has the card access. Ease of getting the key and instructions is good. To check out during peak periods can have you waiting for the lift for at least 25bto 30 minutes form a high floor to the ground level, as there was one lift outbofb4, that was out of order. Overall stay is good. Walk down and on the left is KSL Horel and out from the apartment building is on the night market on Mondays."

LLKKhorThe check-in and check-out process was smooth and efficient. The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive throughout our stay.
What made our visit especially memorable was the thoughtful birthday surprise for my daughter. The hotel kindly prepared a complimentary cake and a handwritten birthday card, which made her feel very special and added a personal touch to our stay.
We also appreciated the complimentary children’s activities, such as cookie-making sessions, which kept the kids entertained and created wonderful family memories.
Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Thank you to the team for their hospitality and for going the extra mile to make our daughter’s birthday celebration so special. We would be happy to return in the future.

AAnonymous Userthe tea spoon provided was rusty. asked housekeeping service team who is next door for a new spoon and they took one spoon from the toilet, rinse and pass to me. i dont use that spoon after that. pillows super soft and mattress soft firm. location is definitely the best since u have so much more shops all under one roof. room also very spacious with YouTube app. internet speed is fast on laptop with big working desk and table lamp and led light make up mirror. my room is located at level 19. there's water dispenser on the same floor, super convenient. for the price of $120 for sun-mon stay with breakfast includd, its super value for money. no wonder this hotel is often sold out.

WW.R1991My first stay at Sheraton Johor Hotel, and I’m honestly speechless!
From the moment I stepped into the hotel, everything felt thoughtfully put together. It’s the little details that really make a difference. The concierge team was always warm, friendly, and ready to help. Every corner of the hotel smelled amazing,even the restrooms! Check-in was smooth, the room was beautiful, and every corner was picture-perfect.
Breakfast was fantastic, with an impressive selection ranging from American to Asian cuisine. There were so many delicious options that I was truly spoiled for choice.
The pool was absolutely amazing! I loved the day beds, and the swimming pool playground was a wonderful addition for families with young children.
One thing worth mentioning is that there’s a mall connected to the hotel. Although it’s not a huge mall, it has a great mix of quality stores, and there’s even an entire level dedicated to spas if you’re looking to relax and pamper yourself.
Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and I’ll definitely be back again in the near future. Highly recommended!

Book 2 rooms at Here Hotel Johor Bahru. The location is excellent—right near Sutera Mall with lots of food options around. There are also Karaoke and escape room around the corner. Super convenient for a short trip and Love the nostalgic shophouses vibes!!!
However, the water supply was a major issue. The flow was weak and inconsistent, which made showering frustrating. For a hotel room, I expected basic amenities to work properly. Room was otherwise decent and clean, but the water problem really affected the stay.
Good for location, but need to manage expectation. But for its price, it is valued for money.

LLinnLeoMy husband and I stayed at level 26 Tower 1 of the hotel for two nights. It seemed that our room had been renovated since our last visit in April 2026. The furniture and mattress were new, and the new wardrobe had been relocated next to the bed instead of being behind the room entrance. The dressing table was smaller than before, but we didn't mind the minor changes. Overall, the room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained.
The hotel staff were polite, friendly, and cleaned our room promptly each day.
The only downside was that the guests in the adjoining room returned around 3:00 a.m. and were making a lot of noise. As there was a connecting door between the rooms, we could hear them quite clearly, which unfortunately interrupted our sleep. The soundproofing between the connecting rooms could be improved to minimise noise disturbances and provide a better night's rest.

I stayed at Opero Hotel Southkey Johor Bahru from 24–25 June 2026 and had a very pleasant experience. The hotel is modern, clean, and well-maintained, with comfortable rooms that provided a relaxing stay. The bed was comfortable, and the room was equipped with everything needed for a short getaway.
The location is excellent, especially for shopping and dining, with convenient access to Southkey and other nearby attractions. The staff were friendly, professional, and efficient during both check-in and check-out, making the entire experience smooth and hassle-free.
I also appreciated the cleanliness of the facilities and the overall welcoming atmosphere of the hotel. It offered great value for money and exceeded my expectations. I would gladly stay here again on my next trip to Johor Bahru and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay.

The food has many varities and decent. Swimmimh pool is so big and nice. My kids enjoy it. My only concerned is there is no iron in the room. and we can only use it for 30min. It takes time to get iron because they were full house at that time. but still a nice stay for me and my family. thank you for the great hospitality.

GGuest UserWe had high expectations for Anantara Desaru after hearing it’s one of the best hotels, but sadly the service didn’t really meet our expectations. Some staff were lovely, while some seemed quite moody. Nevertheless, the resort itself is beautiful just not much to do around the area, and even the kids club felt quite boring. After 4 days there…safe to say we probably won’t be coming back 🤣
