"The view is great, the food was great and the room was good. The only small things would be the staff could do better explaining things to families checking in, some explanations were vague. While in the rooms they are very clean, but you must be careful bringing any food or drinks in the rooms or the ants will invade the room. Tattoos being accepted for the large bath would be appreciated as well, they are currently very strict on any tattoos that are easily visible."

Free flat parking of 80 spaces, safe for microbuses to large trucks

"It was reasonable considering the use of New Year. Japanese-style room for three parents and children. Lay out the futon yourself. The sheets are folded in a large plastic bag, so I make them myself. It's a little hard. The futon is thin and hard. The room itself was rather large. It is connected to the next room, so it may be a room that can be used by group guests. There was a walking closet. It is Hiro 々. The unit bus is insanely narrow. The washbasin is so narrow and difficult to use. The water supply is also shared by switching between the washbasin and the shower in the bath. It's an old type that adjusts the two faucets of hot water and water, so it's troublesome. It was interesting to be able to pour various shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and bath salts from the dispenser into the cup and choose and bring them on the first floor. There was also a slightly higher commercial brand. I'm glad that breakfast is also included for free. There are few types, but I was grateful enough to think that it was included for free. Since it was New Year, Obushi dishes were also lined up."

"The hotel is about 30 minutes away from Miyajima, so I booked a hotel in Iwakuni instead of Miyajima to save money and see Kintai Bridge. Iwakuni Castle and Kintai Bridge are near the hotel, and I could see Kintai Bridge from my room, which was nice. There is a large bath and an open-air bath inside the hotel, so I think there are many things to enjoy. You can see Kintai Bridge and Iwakuni Castle from the open-air bath. Actually, there is not much to see, but I think the large bath alone is worth going. I originally booked a room with a mountain view, but I was given a room with a view of Kintai Bridge, which was even better. The staff are all friendly, so even if you don't speak Japanese, they will slowly teach you."

"After enjoying the hot springs that evening, we enjoyed a kaiseki meal—Yamaguchi Prefecture's famous fugu cuisine. 😋 It was our first time eating fugu. They had fugu sashimi, a small hot pot, fugu chawanmushi, and small fugu tempura. 😅 The waiters were very attentive, explaining the ingredients and cooking methods for each dish so we could savor the flavors. It was much better than our previous experiences at other hot spring inns. A big plus! 👍"

A business hotel sitting at the center of Yuda onsen town, with hot spring big baths.

"The hotel has a large sense of space. This is definitely one of the five largest rooms I've had in my nearly 30 years of staying in Japanese hotels. There are 28 square meters. There are relatively few places to shower in the large public bath. Others are fine. There are three set times for breakfast. Each segment is only half an hour long. A bit stressful for us leisure travelers. Others generally satisfactory. There is also some space for putting on shoes when leaving the room. Very appreciated"

A full-fledged business hotel located just outside the Tokuyama-higashi IC!

"The room is small, only big enough to open a 24-inch suitcase. The bed is on the hard side and the pillows are soft and collapsed. There are spare pillows available in the lobby (hard or soft), but there is a smell of cigarette smoke on the pillows near the smoking room. The room is very clean and tidy. Guests who continue to stay can use the magnet provided on the door to inform them whether it will be tidied the next day. If not, new towels and garbage bags will be hung on the door handle. The breakfast tastes okay, but the items are less compared to ordinary restaurants. It's okay to eat full, but you may want to consider eating wisely. The overall stay is quite comfortable!"

I visited Tokuyama Port for work related to docked ships. It was close enough to walk to. The hotel was cleaned daily and maintained in a spotless condition. There was a Family Mart right in front, making it convenient to grab meals. Breakfast featured traditional Japanese cuisine, along with bread and sausages. The staff folded an origami whale with kindness and placed it on the desk. I'll definitely choose Sunroute Hotel again next time!
