The Nagoya Garland Hotel is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. The Nagoya Garland Hotel is an ideal choice for travelers who want to take in the sights and sounds of Nagoya. The hotel is just 700m away from Sakaemachi Station. Transportation around the city is also convenient, with Sakae Metro Station within walking distance. Famous local attractions Dolphins Arena (Aichi Prefectural Gymnasium), Aichi Industry & Labor Center (WINC AICHI) and Aichi Arts Center, can all be reached with a short walk. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing.

"The service in Japan is impeccable. The facilities are a bit dated, but the room layout is reasonably reasonable. The location is in a bustling area with many restaurants nearby, and it's not far from Don Quijote and Sakae subway stations."

One station from Nagoya Station. Experience sophisticated hospitality at the city's oldest hotel. Enjoy a special time at our guest-only lounge and a variety of restaurants including Japanese, Western, and Chinese cuisine. Parking is free during your stay.

"The hotel check-in is on the sixth floor. There was a bit of a mix-up with my reservation at first, which caused some delays, but once it was sorted out, everything else was very satisfactory. The Nagoya Kanko Hotel is an older 5-star hotel with large and spacious public areas. As is common with most Japanese hotels, Saturday rates are significantly higher than weekdays. They offer smoking rooms (many Japanese hotels are now completely smoke-free). The bathroom was still very well-maintained, and the toiletries were BVLGARI. The breakfast quality was also excellent. The hotel is conveniently located directly across from the airport shuttle bus stop, making travel to Chubu Airport very easy. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Nagoya."

"What a wonderful stay! Although I've visited Nagoya several times, this was my first time staying in the Sakae district. While it's not as convenient for JR access as the area around Takashimaya, I personally think Sakae offers better, more youthful, and stylish shopping than Nagoya JR Station – there's just too much to explore! The hotel itself is very international, and the lobby's design sets it apart from other hotels. It also offers excellent privacy. Check-in was quiet and orderly. The staff spoke fluent English, were quick and very friendly, providing a great comfort after a long journey. The room was thoughtfully designed with many small surprises – I won't spoil them all; you'll have to discover them for yourselves!"

Cleanliness: The room was clean and tidy, with no unpleasant odors. Location: The location is fantastic, right next to Nagoya Station, with the Meitetsu bus terminal located on the hotel's third floor. "The room is spacious and well equipped. It's a bit far from Nagoya station and not many buses around the hotel. It's a bit inconvenient. There's shuttle bus available in the morning on weekdays. Longer service time on weekends. Maybe the hotel is busy, the lounge staff wasn't too friendly. I have short hair but I found a long hair on my bed under the blanket. The bedsheet has some black colour fabric fibers but I wore light colour pajamas."

A very satisfying stay. 1. The front desk staff were excellent, very quick and professional with the check-in process. 2. The breakfast selection was rich, though at certain times it could get a bit crowded and require a short wait, but this was a minor issue. 3. The room was spacious, clean, and offered great views of Nagoya city. This definitely deserves a big thumbs up. 4. There's a convenience store just a 2-minute walk away, and Don Quijote is only 5 minutes away, which is incredibly convenient. Every aspect of my stay was great, so of course, I signed up for a membership.

My main goal for this trip was to get some good rest, so I specifically chose a room on the side away from the main road and booked a more expensive top-floor room. Before checking in, I even requested a corner room, hoping to have no neighbors on either side, but the hotel said they couldn't arrange it, which I totally understood. In terms of soundproofing, if you're on the top floor and not facing the road, it's genuinely very quiet overall. With the windows closed, you basically can't hear any outside traffic or even the normal activities of neighbors. The only exception is if there are kids next door running around loudly in their room, then you'll definitely hear some noticeable noise. I experienced that firsthand this time. However, for those who prioritize convenient transportation, this hotel might be something to reconsider. It's not particularly close to a subway or train station, requiring about a 15-minute walk. If you're dragging luggage, especially in summer or on a rainy day, it can be quite a struggle. In comparison, many hotels near stations in Nagoya offer excellent value for money. I chose this place purely for the peace and quiet and the quality of rest. From that perspective, it completely met my expectations. If I visit Nagoya again and my primary goal is still rest, I would likely choose this hotel again. Overall, I'm very satisfied and highly recommend it to travelers like me who value sleep quality and a quiet environment.

Nagoya Tokyu Hotel

Every time I visit Nagoya, Tokyu Hotel is my top choice. It's a well-established 5-star hotel in the Sakae shopping district, with a drugstore right outside and an airport bus stop nearby, which is super convenient for not having to drag luggage to the airport. However, my experience this time was just so-so. There was a strange odor throughout the entire floor, and while the room was spacious, the air conditioning was ineffective – it ran all day but never cooled down. My comfort level was pretty average, and to top it off, the price had even gone up.

This hotel is super convenient! It's right next to JR Nagoya's south exit – just turn left and take the elevator up. It even connects directly to Takashimaya on the 15th floor. Below the hotel entrance, escalators lead down to floors 12 and 13 which are packed with restaurants. The views are great, and while the room isn't huge, the decor is modern and new. I especially loved the large window! The breakfast was exquisite and delicious, with options like unagi (eel) rice and fried fish burgers.

This hotel is absolutely fantastic! The cleanliness, facilities, and service are all top-notch. The location is super convenient too, Nagoya has so many great shopping spots! There was a slight misunderstanding at first, but the Chinese-speaking staff at the front desk were incredibly patient and reassuring. A big thank you to them, they were so professional! Overall, a 100% perfect hotel!!

The transportation is incredibly convenient. Even as someone who's terrible with directions, I was moved to see the hotel right after exiting the station, having taken the Meitetsu line from the airport. There was absolutely no need to worry about getting lost. Shopping is also a breeze; Takashimaya is just a short walk away, and it's a quick two-stop ride on the Higashiyama Line to the Sakae shopping district.

The hotel is great, offering a slow-paced, pastoral lifestyle. The breakfast is semi-buffet with a à la carte menu. There's only one restaurant, a mix of Japanese and Western cuisine, and the food tastes good. The coffee, however, is just average. You get a 10% discount if you pay with your mobile phone.

We specifically chose this hotel for LEGOLAND, and the room was spacious enough. The kids loved the treasure chest game. There was a wide variety of breakfast options, and the food was quite good. The location is excellent if you're visiting LEGOLAND, but it's a bit too far if you plan to go anywhere else, which is why we later moved to a hotel closer to Nagoya Station. The room was very clean, and the service was typical Japanese standard. There are a few restaurants nearby where you can have dinner.
