We wanted a hotel next to the train station to go to Pompeii and the airport easily, and this hotel's location is very convenient. But as in most European cities, the area is not super safe at night because it's next to a train station. The hotel was alright, good relation quality/price. Breakfast could be much better, it wasn't great

The hotel environment is very good, you can park your car, give the key to the front desk, and they will drive you to the hotel entrance in the morning. The breakfast is also good, with fresh fruits. I also encountered the problem of others, they would not ask for coffee proactively, and the waiters would proactively tell Europeans if they had other coffee needs (the restaurant only had black coffee), they would provide it, but they would not tell the Asians, and as a result, the next table asked about coffee, and the waiter said there was black coffee in front, and did not say that they could provide other types of coffee, but I saw that they took the initiative to bring cappuccino coffee to the Europeans.

This hotel values their customer period. My room was not the best when we checked in. Went to the front desk explained the condition of the room. Not only did they apologize for the inconvenience, but they provided a much better room and allowed. They made us feel welcomed and valued. I would definitely stay there again if I had to go back to Naples. A big thank you to the staff as well. Very friendly and accommodating.

The bar to have drinks in the evening is filthy, dirty table linens that are not linens, had marks that has been used and spilt drinks or food. The chairs and table feels and looks dirty, we took our drinks in our room instead. The breakfast has no cooked food just hard boiled eggs, bread are hard, people have to queue to wait to be served by 1 waiter, you cannot take from the table, waiter has to serve even coffee. It’s scary around the hotel, police are always there, dodgy shops around. Stay nearby or at hotels around Ovo Castle. It’s too dirty aroung Gibraldi station where this hotel is located.

Location & Safety The hotel is located in one of the safest and most touristic areas of Naples, right on Via Partenope, facing the sea and Castel dell'Ovo. Naples, as a city, is still evolving into a true tourist destination. The city is making significant improvements to attract more visitors, and you can feel that transition happening. This particular area where the hotel is located feels very safe, thanks to continuous police presence. We saw officers patrolling on foot and by car at all hours of the day and night, which gave us peace of mind. The neighborhood is also filled with excellent restaurants offering a wide range of quality food at reasonable prices. Of course, not every place is great, but there are many good options within walking distance. Additionally, the historic center and most major tourist attractions are within walking distance from the hotel. You can take a leisurely stroll and reach the main sights in under an hour. Room & Comfort The seafront location of the hotel is outstanding. The view from our room was beautiful, and we loved opening the panoramic window to let in the fresh sea breeze in the morning and evening. It’s a wonderful way to start and end your day. The room itself was comfortable and well-maintained, with a level of luxury comparable to a 4-star European hotel. However, it's important to note that European hotel standards are different from those in the U.S.. By American standards, this hotel would be closer to a 3-star property. Despite this, the housekeeping staff did a great job cleaning the room daily and replacing towels. Service & Atmosphere The hotel staff is professional and polite, but interactions felt a bit robotic and mechanical. It seemed like they were following routines rather than making genuine connections with guests. That said, room cleanliness was good, and we appreciated the attention to detail in that regard. One thing that stood out is the hotel’s nostalgic 1950s vibe. The hotel seems proud of its mid-century charm, which they promote through signs and advertisements around the property. If you enjoy that type of retro atmosphere, you’ll appreciate this hotel. Breakfast Experience The breakfast at the hotel was excellent. I traveled to Napoli alone. My car broke down on the way. It was already past 11 o'clock when I arrived. Although I chose a 12-person room, it didn't seem to be full because it was New Year's Day. I stayed there for 3 days in total. At most, there seemed to be only 6 people living there. The washroom and toilet were all outside the dormitory, which felt a little quieter. The bed was very soft and quite comfortable to sleep in. Anyway, I slept until noon every day to go around. The whole city is very unique. I stayed there for 3 nights. I spent one day strolling around the city and another day walking around Pompeii. One night was New Year's Day, and everyone went up to the rooftop to watch the fireworks. The view on the rooftop was really good. It was also part of the youth hostel. There were tables and chairs on it where you could bask in the sun. It was a wonderful New Year's Eve. The kitchen was fully equipped with kitchenware and dishwasher, and there were free tea bags, snacks, etc. You could take them for free. You can make some pasta yourself. There is a supermarket within a minute's walk, and you can buy cheap snacks and water immediately. The hostel is not far from attractions such as the National Archaeological Museum, the Spanish Quarter, and the New Castle.

The hotel room is very small, a bit like a Japanese business hotel, but the traffic is very convenient, there is a lively burger shop downstairs, and overall it is very convenient. The front desk brother is also very kind.

About the location: The location is a bit difficult due to conflicting views. It is a little deductible because it is far from Naples Central Station. However, I chose this hotel because it was said that the area around Naples Central Station was not safe. So it may be said that the neighborhood of Naples Central Station where security is bad is a demerit point. The opposite is close to the ferry terminal. Even if you carry a heavy suitcase, you can reach the ticket office in about 5 minutes. It was a ferry transfer when I left the hotel here, so considering that convenience alone, the highest rating is good. Regarding cleanliness, this hotel didn't have the smelly electric kettle problem that I had during my trip to Europe. As a Japanese, this is a matter of course, but I was moved. Besides that, the cleaning was perfect, and whether it was a new hotel, there was no part that was damaged or felt old. Regarding the service, various explanations were given at check-in, but I couldn't understand it in English, so I went to ask the same thing again and asked for an explanation of the ferry ticket office, but everything was done with a smile and the translator didn't bother me. , and he taught me carefully until I could understand. Furthermore, after checking out, I misread the ferry time for 2 hours, and when I negotiated to wait in the hotel lobby again, it was OK without any problems. I was very unwell on that day, so I was very grateful. As for the facilities, although there were no toothbrushes or things that were already incorporated, they were generally complete, the room was spacious, and there were many shelves, so it was very convenient to use.

This was our second stay in Amalfi and at the same hotel as we loved it so much the first time in 2019. Everything is amazing, the host staff, room,,cleanliness and presentation. Breakfast was delicious. Totally recommend!!

As always, clean, elegant and comfortable structure. Excellent breakfast and also suitable for those with allergy or intolerance problems. Impeccable professionalism and customer care! Really recommended!

Very comfortable stay. Nice, clean room certainly no complaints in that respect. Location is outside of the centre of Salerno, however a half-hourly train can be caught 5 minutes walk away from the hotel, which gets u into Salerno in 15 minutes, and u can be at the tourist ferry terminal in 25 minutes. A small number of restaurants around and a supermarket is 2 minutes away. Breakfast was very basic but was sufficient enough. Not too bad for the price point and definitely cheaper than Amalfi Coast, but the easy access to Amalfi Coast made it worth the stay.

Hotel Fontana is great hotel in location , in the terms of staff. Staff of hotel is very cooperative and they are very helpful. Hotel is located just in the centre of Amalfi . And gives a good view of church and the restaurant on street. I would highly recommend this hotel.

An old small hotel but clean. Comfortable bed and some bath amenities. Bathroom small and toilet lid and seat not attached. Air conditioned which was a bonus. Enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watching passer-by’s. A very short walk to the beach, patisseries and to the ferry.

Very well located hotel just outside train station and not in the ZTL. Kind and helpful staff. Clean, comfortable room. Bathroom shower needs fixing. Water pressure low and water splashes everywhere.

The location is so good, and the facilities are so clean and nice that I think it's the best hotel in the area~^^ The staff was kind and responsive, and they told me they liked Korea, so I felt even closer~ If you walk a little bit in front of the hotel, there's a beach, so it was nice to take a walk while looking at the night view~^^

Great location and stunning view from the room. The personnel at the reception were very welcoming with excellent service during our stay. Shuttle bus service was also great.  Service and approach from waiters at the bar/restaurant was extremely poor during our whole stay so obviously something was wrong at that area of the hotel.

Hi I was given a room overlooking the commercial port of Salerno despite the room having a partial view of the sea, so a disappointment then the beach service needs to improve a lot they also let people in who are not staying at the hotel so there is more for not to mention the beach staff who do a ****** all day to sell the sunbeds they don't even give time for the customer to get up from the sunbed and sell it to another who arrives. The bar service a cashier and the line in the sun waiting without taking care of the customer I will never go back to this structure
