Stayed at Fosshotel Group hotels in Jokulsarlon and Husavik
Jokulsarlon is 4 stars
Husavik is 3 stars.
But Husavik's room is definitely better. . Booking is it, will not regret it.
The hotel has a good location, right next to the cathedral. There's a long row of free public parking spaces nearby, on the east side of the hotel facing the fjord, but be careful not to park in the private parking lots near Subway. The room cleanliness, facilities, breakfast, and service were all decent. The on-site restaurant was quite good; we ordered seafood soup, octopus legs, and salmon, all delicious and worth trying.
When we visited on our honeymoon, they even gave us a glass of champagne!
The rooms were clean and great!
The reception building and the accommodation were in separate buildings.
The environment is good, very suitable for watching the Aurora at night. Although the room is not big, it has a large window to look out, but I really don’t know what to eat for breakfast and have no choice.
If you chase the aurora, you can take it downstairs in the hotel. It is a little bit away from the city center and there is less light pollution, but it is only a few minutes away to drive to the check-in point, which is very convenient. Good service and hot food. Basically satisfied.
The corner room had a beautiful view. The hotel's central location was very convenient for getting around. The parking lot was spacious. I highly recommend it. The breakfast offered a good variety and tasted decent. It's also a short walk to the town's main church.
Very nice and quiet place to stay in. Not many other guest so we were able to enjoy the place. Had a hot spa but we didn’t try it as it was too cold.
Breakfast spread was great also. Only stayed for 1 night . Wish we had more time for this hotel.
There is a nice white church beside the hotel which makes a great photo!
Highly recommended.

Great
Hotel is located at the harbour next to all historical buildings. Scenery was nice, room was cosy. Breakfast is alright.
HHsiaoJung ChenI booked one double room, but we have two adults and one 11 years old child. I am worry about that I need to add extra bed for my kid because only 2 single beds provided according to the booking record before I arrive. However, the truth is that the room has three single beds. That makes us have a good sleep. It also shows this hotel is so sweet for the guests. The room is cleaner and larger than any one I lived in Iceland. In addition, the breakfast is very rich. I strongly recommend this hotel if you want to travel or stay for the diamond circle in the Iceland.

The room was spacious and well-equipped, with the heated towel rack being particularly noteworthy. It snowed on the day we checked in, and our clothes were completely soaked—the heated towel rack was very helpful for drying smaller items. The breakfast was a buffet with a wide variety of options, which suited our tastes perfectly. This hotel offers excellent value for money and is highly recommended.
MMaggieThe hotel is easy to find and it’s a short walk to the town. It’s right next to Jaja ding dong bar (Eurovision movie fans!) and you get free entry to the Eurovision exhibition there if you show your hotel booking. Room was spacious enough for 2, clean and got everything we need. Breakfast was included in our booking and it had a decent spread. Very easy check in and check out so no complaints there.
GGuest UserWe would come back anytime. The location was great, the hot tubs were fantastic, and the breakfast was incredibly delicious. All the staff were friendly and helpful.
A lovely stay. Big yet cozy room. We also had dinner there, everything was terrific - even the arctic char was something special. And we got to see the northern lights.
