Hotel near Miðborg,Reykjavik
Set in Reykjavik's Midborg, CityHub Reykjavik is positioned to meet the needs of those traveling for fun or business. To recharge your batteries or simply relax, visit the property's spa. Finish your day off with a drink at the bar. At this capsule hotel, you'll have access to a vending machine. This property also offers luggage storage.

"CityHub’s location was perfect! Right in the heart of downtown Reykjavík. The hot tub was absolutely fabulous during a cold morning rain. The rooms were futuristic looking with lights and sounds depending on your choice of mood. The beds were super clean and comfortable! Their key card was a wristband that you could place over your wrist so you don’t have to worry about losing your hotel card or trying to figure out the code to your room. The bathrooms were spotless and had continuous music with a good beat playing from the background so you can listen and dance a bit while brushing your teeth. They had a great system used in the dining area when pulling your own draft beer or other drinks and the atmosphere at night was peaceful and relaxing. The morning shift staff member which I believed was the owner was extremely friendly and helpful as well as the night shift staff member. However, there was one day shift staff member that wasn’t so helpful and was quick to negative judgement. There was also an additional fee that wasn’t mentioned when booking the room online. Other guesthouses did not allow it or it was probably already added into the package deal that you bought."

"Extremely satisfied with this hotel! First off, the staff were all very polite and friendly. Also, before checking into this hotel, we had just finished an 8-day, 7-night island tour. Since there were luggage size restrictions on the tour, it was a huge relief that this hotel allowed us to store some of our luggage while we were away. Upon entering the room, the facilities were even better than expected. There was plenty of space to put our belongings and hang clothes. The lotion provided was also very useful, especially given how dry it can be in the room. I will definitely book this hotel again if I come back to Iceland!"

"For a hostel, rooms and toilet/showers are kept clean. Location is fairly accessible to transport and about 20-30 minutes walk to the centre. Kitchen is quite small for the guests but is equipped with hob, cookingware, dinnerware. Towels can be rented at the reception. Unfortunately the reception closes at 9pm so it is trickh for late check ins. Vending machines with cup noodles and drinks available near the reception."

"This hotel is a transit hotel we chose on the way from Snæfellsnes Peninsula to the southern route. It is located in the suburbs of Reik, about 30 minutes' drive from Thingvellir National Park. This hotel is a motel, and check-in and breakfast are both in the bar next door. The room facilities are a bit old compared to other places we stayed in. The feature is that there is a kitchen and a microwave for self-catering. There is no hair dryer in the room, and we went to the front desk to ask for a very old and dusty hair dryer. I can only say that the price is there and I can't expect anything more. There is a KFC next door, pay attention to the business hours, it is closed in the morning."

"Honestly, this hotel was a bit of a letdown. The first room was incredibly small – so small you couldn't even open a 20-inch suitcase anywhere but by the door. There was no desk, and the bedside table was comically large, also doubling as a clothes hanger. There was a friendly Chinese lady at the front desk, which was a plus. However, in that particular room (I forget the number), there was an inner window that not only wouldn't open but faced directly onto the hallway, so you could hear every little noise. Not ideal if you're sensitive to sound. Also, they provide no toiletries whatsoever; you have to bring everything yourself. On the upside, the location is convenient. Turn left out of the hotel for a supermarket, and turn right for the sea. It's also an easy walk to the Rainbow Street in the city center. Secondly, there's the price. In Iceland, where hotels typically start at 1,000 ISK, finding a place for around 900 ISK with a private bathroom is rare. It's suitable for budget travelers or those on daily tours who don't spend much time in their room. One more thing: luggage storage costs money, around 5 euros, and requires a QR code payment. I tried to pay with cash, and the front desk guy seemed quite flustered, like he wasn't used to it."

"This stay was, to put it mildly, a bug-infested lesson. I stayed for 4 nights. The first two nights were fine, but on the third night, things went south – I started getting bitten by bugs in the room, resulting in red spots all over my body. This wasn't just me being sensitive; these were clearly visible bites that required photographic evidence (which I did take, of both the spots and the bugs). What's even more outrageous is that this wasn't an isolated incident. I later found out that previous guests had reported similar issues, indicating that the hotel has a long-standing problem with hygiene and pest control, rather than a one-off accident. After the incident, the hotel's solution was to arrange a room change. The problem is, what had to happen already happened. The room change felt more like going through the motions than actually solving the issue. Due to hygiene concerns, I personally disposed of some of my clothes and shoes, essentially paying extra for this stay. To summarize: * The room has a pest problem. * Hygiene management is questionable (and seemingly a long-term issue). * The response was delayed and inadequate. * The guest had to bear the additional costs themselves. If you're just looking for a place to sleep, you might gamble on it; but if you don't want to use your body as a test subject, I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel."

"The hotel is not in the city centre and it looks like a 20 minute walk to get there. However, on-site parking is free which you can't get from other hotels in the city centre. The hotel staff were all helpful and the included breakfast was pretty good. We had originally booked a Standard room, which turned out to be very small, and on the 2nd floor, facing the carpark and the main road. This meant that the room was quite noisy all through the night since the window had to be left open for ventilation. The next morning upon asking to change rooms, we were informed that all Standard rooms faced the road, so we paid to upgrade to a Superior room which was much larger, and faced the rear of the hotel. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel in the new room."

"Really good location, near the city centre area and the service is awesome. Super friendly service staff and bar tender. Hotel looks great and the rooms are clean. Just take note some of their rooms at the top floor has the constraints of the roof where the ceiling is slanted, you may knock your head like i did. And the lighting can be quite dim. Other than that, great room great hotel great place."

This hotel was the most satisfying I stayed at in Iceland. The overall cleanliness was up to standard, and it even had a bathtub. The staff were enthusiastic, and the breakfast was rich and varied. The biggest advantage is that Bus Stop 12 is right outside the door. If you're in Iceland and not doing a multi-day tour, but rather booking different day tours daily, Bus Stop 12 is a station all buses can reach, which is incredibly convenient! Highly recommended.

My stay at the Hilton Reykjavik Nordica was, overall, very satisfying. The hotel itself is spacious and comfortable, with a clean and modern design that perfectly captures the fresh Scandinavian aesthetic, while also offering the refinement and convenience expected of a high-quality accommodation. The front desk staff were excellent; check-in and check-out were efficient, and communication was smooth, making them feel both professional and attentive. My room was spotless and quite spacious, with a comfortable bed that ensured a great night's sleep. The attention to cleanliness details made me feel very secure and at ease. The hotel breakfast is also commendable, with a wide variety of fresh options that perfectly met my dining needs during the trip. While not in the absolute city center, the location is still convenient for getting around, and the quiet surroundings are ideal for a good rest. The hotel's facilities are comprehensive, providing a consistent and reliable stay. Whether for a business trip or a leisure vacation, you'll experience excellent service and quality here. All in all, this hotel offers a great combination of comfort, service, and brand assurance. My entire stay was pleasant and effortless, making it a highly recommended and quality accommodation option when visiting Reykjavik.

A once-in-a-lifetime trip made more meaningful and charming by world-leading staff and service. We messaged ahead and told them that we were on our honeymoon. Iceland is a unique place on Earth, but almost as surprising as the geology, geography and weather was just how remarkable and excellent this hotel was. Its location was outstanding right in the old city centre and an easy walk to boat trips (for organised bus trips, which all use the same bus stop numbering, the nearest bus stop is number 5, about 5 minutes’ walk away), the breakfast was splendid and the room was unbelievably cosy, which was particularly welcome after a winter’s day adventuring amongst the ice and snow and especially the epic and cold wind. This once-in-a-lifetime trip was made extraordinarily special by the outstanding and attentive staff who really impressed with their thoughtfulness and commitment to excellence throughout. We cannot thank the whole team enough, both everyone we met as well as everyone who worked behind the scenes, for delivering a world-leading stay. We felt exceptionally lucky to have chosen this hotel, and so delighted that we did!

Great hotel in an excellent city center location, with everything within walking distance. The room was spacious, recently renovated, and very comfortable. There was some noise from the street, but it didn't bother me at all. The breakfast was tasty with good quality options, although the selection stayed the same every day. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. Overall, a very pleasant stay and good value for the location.
