Freddies Santai Sumurtiga

Very cost-effective. Facilities: If you want a sea view room, book a wooden house, no air conditioning. If you want an air-conditioned room, you can't see the sea view. It depends on how you choose. Environment: There is no air conditioning in the sea view room, and it is sweaty. Service: Very good, the front desk guy is very good. In fact, the most recommended is the coconut juice at the entrance of the hotel. The guy is very shy. 2 coconuts with ice, 1W Indonesian rupiah.

Our flight arrive early at 8:00a.m so I had called ahead to see if we could check in earlier than the normal 2:00 p.m and i was told to check with the reception upon arrival. To our surprise, we were told that our rooms were ready and check in was a breeze. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food excellent and the rooms were comfortable. Absolute 5 star from my experience. Will certainly stay there again
Hip Hope Hotel

The location is very strategic, close to the Baiturahman Mosque. Starting from getting out of the car until being taken to the room, we were served very well like a king. Choosing a room according to your wishes is very flexible. As well as being given an early checkin bonus. And additional check out time with a very affordable charge. Thank you hip hope hotel crew.
The Pade Hotel

Review for stay back in June 2016 One of the hotels with the best view. Surrounded by village scenery, paddy fields and hills. Very pleasant and helpful staffs. Quiet surrounding. Good WiFi connection speed. Towels were changed daily although instructed not to (not sure a good or bad thing LOL). Breakfast buffet line could be improved. Same goes to lunch and dinner choice (put more variety of Western food instead of just Indonesian). Entrance to lobby have steep stairs, quite a challenge if you have big luggage. Though generally hotel was clean, need to improve in overall design and storing of equipments (visible to guests).
Parkside Gayo Petro Hotel

Didn't expect this to be a 3-star hotel; feels like 5 star, all is new, buffet breakfast is much appreciated despite many other hotel in the nations scrapped this option. Wide options of food served. Although check-in was a bit slow because of ”cleaning reason, we had a full occupancy”, but still appreciated how fresh the hotel was. Staff is friendly. Kudos!

Pulau Weh Paradise

An absolutely amazing place to go if you want to wind down and relax. The beach is so lovely and quiet that I ended up sleeping on my sun bed most of the day! The bungalows are wonderful, spacious rooms with great little Living-room area and comfy sofas and bed. The balcony faces out to the sea with a hammock if you simply want to lounge all day (which we did!). The roads are surprisingly well maintained and so you won’t go bouncing around like you’ll find in most of Indonesia. Sandy and the staff here are so friendly and helpful that i doubt you’ll find much that they can’t help you with. The restaurant is also great, providing good variation of options and very good quality food! Highly recommend the curries, fish with steamed veg and even jacket potatoes!!! All in all a great trip and will definitely come back again. Wonderful place for honeymooners, families or anyone looking for a slice of paradise away from the rest of the chaos of Indonesia!
The Hawk's Nest Resort

Before that I stayed at Freddy's, which is top class in comparison. We booked a cottage, above all praise. The place is beautiful, well-groomed, clean. The bed is huge, comfortable, gigantic bathroom with everything that should be there. The staff is top notch, the food is excellent and varied. Pizza, fries, etc., plus local dishes for every taste. The administrator resolved all issues, such as changing dollars when exchangers were not working (Chinese New Year), organizing a taxi for the ferry, buying tickets for the ferry, renting a scooter, etc. One thing lets me down: the sea is not very swimmable, shallow and the bottom is so-so, but the beauty of the place outshines everything and the scooter solves all problems.
