Hotels With bar in North Yorkshire, United Kingdom

"Hotel location central for visiting Harrogate tourist areas. Premier twin was adequate. Comfy beds had lovely cotton linen. Efficient and not too noisy aircon. Shower over bath was a surprise. Toiletries provided were lovely. Very small mugs and glasses. The receptionist was not very forthcoming in what she was doing. Very surprised to have to fill out all my details again and my friend in another another room had to provide her credit card for a room I'd paid for. There was confusion about payment and then our card did not unlock the door of the room we had been given. We were put in a quiet zone of the hotel, which was fine but we hadn't asked for. We did not eat or drink in the hotel. Efficient and reasonable parking. Lifts very busy in the morning."

"My main concern about this hotel stay was the towels in the room; almost every single one had hair and dirty marks. The faucet had to be turned on manually because the pull rod directly opposite it was completely unusable. Slippers and toothbrushes can be requested from the front desk. It would have been perfect if the cleaning staff had cleared the cobwebs near the window and ensured the towels were clean. Also, the room was on the 5th floor, requiring an elevator ride to the third floor and then climbing two more flights of stairs. The front desk staff were quite patient, though."

"We liked the welcome by the concierge. Building is incredible. The first check-in was nice. The second check-in we were ignored walked past and Not greeted nicely when we got to our room. I wasn’t very happy with it a lot smaller more than I imagined from the pictures. Big beds though and firm. We had the executive twin. The carpets were fraid the units all worn and broken only two tinny water bottles. There was a fridge in the room but very noisy had to turn that off. wasn’t very clean in the shower. It had a connecting door in the room which I don’t like personally, I did ask the Hotel if there was another room available or if we could be upgraded, This took nearly an hour with long phone breaks to be shown to another room that was dated and had a really bad smell like mold.  I have stayed at other five star hotels and when you’re not happy they go above and beyond and didn’t feel like this Hotel did everything at all, it was overpriced. More like a 4 star in the rooms. It costs you £30 to go into the spa every time and we have to book this wasn’t keen on that either. The Service in the restaurant was great the food was loving the Ride restaurant and the Service in the spa was great with two members of staff. One looked me up and down and a bit off but There was a friendly man offering drinks and was really friendly and helpful. There were nice parts of the stay but felt the effort to change our room was poor. Won’t stay again because room was basic damaged, with the cost of the room, spa should be less."

"I am very disappointed with my room assignment. Before my arrival, I specifically requested rooms near the elevator and connecting rooms (or at least rooms close to each other) because I am traveling with my young children. Unfortunately, none of my requests were accommodated. Instead, I was assigned two separate rooms on different floors (2nd and 6th floors). To make matters worse, each floor requires a separate key card to access, making it extremely inconvenient and nearly impossible for my family to move between rooms. Additionally, one of the rooms is located at the very end of the hallway, far from the elevator, despite my request for a room nearby. These arrangements are the exact opposite of what I requested and create significant difficulties when traveling with children. I made these requests in advance because they are important for my family’s safety and convenience, yet they appear to have been completely overlooked."

"The staff were very friendly, and the lady at reception kindly allowed us to check in at 12:30 noon even though the official check-in time wasn't until 3:00 pm. This was a much 🙏🏻appreciated gesture and something that's quite rare in the UK. The location is excellent and within walking distance of my favourite café, Betty Cafe. I had a lovely stay and look forward to staying here again on my next visit."

"The location is great, and a morning stroll through the town was lovely. The only downside was that the hotel's air conditioning wasn't working. I contacted the front desk three times, but to no avail. The first time, the lady at the front desk suggested turning it on and off multiple times to activate it. The second time, she came to the room to demonstrate, but when that didn't work, she said she'd go to the server room to adjust the AC settings, which also yielded no results. The third time, when I contacted a different staff member at the front desk, I was asked, 'Has someone already tried to fix it?' Then they brought a fan, repeatedly saying 'I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry.' They explained that the AC cooling system couldn't be activated because the weather in York was cool. It was just 'I'm sorry' after that. It was the first time I'd heard such a reason for an AC not working. Nevertheless, the town of York is still very beautiful."

"The hotel is perfect, you should stay longer or stay for two days. The restaurant is also very good, not expensive. Picture 9 is part of the breakfast. Swimming and spa are free."

"We booked two lovely ”King” rooms - very clean and comfortable, in superb settings. The hotel is very conveniently located to allow a short walk into the town. We stayed for two nights, and there were busy weddings on both days - but there was minimal noise, and the wedding guests added to the lovely atmosphere. The hotel appeared to be almost fully booked for both days, so finding that only ONE lift was working was less than helpful (we were told that the other lift had been out of action ”for some time”, due to the hotel ”awaiting spare parts”?) Annoyingly, the one working lift only went up to the 4th floor, so to reach our room on the 5th floor we had to hump our suitcases up the stairs - minor inconvenience, but unexpected from such a prestigious hotel. Our biggest gripe was (a.) the lack of available parking spaces (one car park had a huge marquee erected on it for a function) and (b.) being told when checking in that there was a parking charge of £18 per night - even though there was no mention on the website or on the booking details. It felt rather ”cheap and petty” for a hotel to have to stoop to fleecing their guests for parking fees to park at their hotel! We estimated that there were around 150 cars - so guests with cars are subsiding the hotel by over £2500 per night. All-in-all, a thoroughly enjoyable stay in a lovely hotel set in lovely surroundings - we would definitely stay there again."

"The front desk is extremely friendly and professional, making you feel treated equally and very comfortable. I’ll definitely return because of the front desk’s attitude. Additionally, the hotel is pet-friendly, and if you notify them in advance, they provide dog beds and bowls. There are also gardens where you can take your dog for a walk, and there are designated areas to dine with your pet, making it all very convenient and enjoyable. Moreover, the toilets feature underfloor heating, which makes for a most comfortable experience during the winter months! 推荐所有人来这家酒店，前台很耐心一视同仁，宠物友好酒店、狗狗小狗友好！完全自发写了评论，平时懒得写，虽然英文评论是ai润色的，但是内容是我想说的。"

"At 1700 [currency unit] a night, this was already the cheapest of the four hotels we stayed at in the UK. York's overall cost of living is much lower than Edinburgh and London. It was a family room with one double bed and two very small sofa beds. The hotel is by the river and is an older building. The room window was right next to one of the sofa beds and had cobwebs on it. I was a bit afraid of bugs crawling in if I opened it. There was no air conditioning; it wasn't hot outside that day, but it was quite warm inside due to poor ventilation, so I slept with the fan on."
