Kato Dool Wellness Resort
4.3/561 Reviews
Pros The hotel facilities were absolutely beautiful with an amazing view. Traditional Nubian style house. Every corner makes you want to capture the space. We had a rocky start but the hotel staff tried to redeem themselves. We lost an apple watch which the hotel helped us get back ASAP before we reached Luxor. We are grateful for this. Cons Awful communication and hospitality. We were the only guests in the entire resort because of low season but still received shitty service. The hotel is in a secluded place making it difficult to reach. It’s on top of a mountain on a dusty rocky road. The hotel offers a tuktuk. We did our research prior and contacted the hotel to arrange getting to the hotel from the village and check in since we knew we’d land in the AMs. We were ignored. We arrived at the village meeting point at 1:45 but only ended up getting to our rooms around 3:50am because reaching the hotel via call and WhatsApp was so difficult. The staff had no sense of urgency. We were frustrated and anxious in this wellness resort. Our taxi driver refused to take us up the mountain and the tuktuk refused to take us because of our many bags (which is understandable). I’m very disappointed in the service and I know the staff has lots of potential to improve on their service delivery. The hotel needs to be more cognisant of their customer service and guests hospitality. Staying here was stressful. Recommended if you want aesthetic vibes,a beautiful picturesque hotel with good breakfast. Don’t recommend if you prioritise great guest services, comfortability and peace.
Basma Hotel Aswan

I really loved this hotel. The view from my room (5th floor) over Aswan, the cataract, Elephantine Island, Aga Khan monument, was breathtaking. As the hotel is on a hill, I cannot imagine any other hotel offering views like that. The rooms are very clean, though a bit dated, and large, with a balcony. Very generous outdoor grounds, nice swimming pool and a perfect breakfast buffet. Nice little shopping center with very good prices for souvenirs. All in all - a hotel I would like to return to.
Nubian Palace By Kerma Hospitality

The choice of accommodation in Aswan was varied, but I wanted to find something special. And it was during my research that the Nubian Palace, in Nubian Village, came up. How wonderful it was to arrive at the hotel, do the check-in while drinking a welcome hibiscus juice, and then find a wonderful room Nubian style. The bedroom, with 2 super comfortable single beds, also had a desk, chair and closet. Outside the bedroom, but within the area corresponding to the bedroom, in a small patio also with a table and chairs, was the private bathroom with shower. On the first morning, because I had a trip to Abu Simbel that started at dawn, the hotel prepared some breakfast boxes that were very useful. Furthermore, all the meals (open air) I had there were very good and in large quantity. Last but not least… The entire hotel staff was extremely friendly and efficient. They contributed to making this experience at the Nubian Palace a very successful one, which means that I definitely want to return there again in the future.

The room was very clean, new and well-lit, with plenty of air cooler, great view, and a cold-water jacuzzi on the balcony. You can take many beautiful photos in the hotel. The employees are very friendly and will try their best to help you solve your problems. I feel that they have a strong sense of service👍. The quality of the buffet breakfast in the restaurant is very good, and the ingredients are very fresh. Although there are not many general categories, it is more refined and the juices are all freshly squeezed. Paid meal delivery is also available. It is very convenient to go to the Philae Temple. You can buy your own tickets to visit it. (Chartered boat transfer for $25 to buy tickets and round trip). It is very suitable for couples to have a leisurely vacation, and even breathing is full of romance. Every day I see their team meeting in the restaurant early in the morning, which shows that they attach great importance to management and summary. When we leave the hotel and go to the next hotel, they will also ask us where we are going to the next hotel, make a record, and care about the safety of passengers.
Sofitel Legend Old Cataract Aswan

Magical property in magical land. Extremely professional and accommodating staff and service. The ground floor spa equally impressive where I enjoyed full body massage on consecutive days. One small issue with thermostat was dealt with promptly and to full satisfaction. I don’t believe you can improve upon The Old Cataract in any stay in Aswan..
Pyramisa Island Hotel Aswan

Its a giant hotel complex, and located in the south of the town centre, but love it because it was during their supposed off-season and they surprised us with an upgraded to a huge 2-bedroom corner suite! To say they did everything to make us feel welcome and helpful would be an understatement! From evening falukas and day-tour drivers to Unfinished Obelisk and Abu Simbel and even our last minute on-the-spot 3N2D Nile Cruise to Luxor! We made some great friendships and won't forget them! Thank you Aswan!! Negative: The evening menu..but I chalk that up to being the off-season, and not effort on the staffs part..because they were all helpful. Negative: No place to make small change with large bills or currency.
Movenpick Resort Aswan

Amazing service from the staff. We were welcomed with cold fresh drinks and hot towels walking into the hotel lobby. Bags were taken to the room and we were able to tour the hotel prior to checking in. Once checked in Woel Farook made sure our stay was pleasant. He gave us a great view of the Nile. Also Mahmoud at the pool and bar took care of us every day there. The kids loved him as he entertained the 2 year old and 10 month old. The pool service is excellent. Can’t wait to go back. I definitely recommend staying at Movenpick.
Kato Waidi Nubian Resort

This place screams local charm and happiness. The location is amazing, in a Nubian village (you will think the taxi driver is lost), it is colorfully cheery, so clean, on the river, and the restaurant is so delicious…as you dine Nile side. One night a local music group came…super fun. There is a local man with a boat, Fufu, and for $2.00 he is the most fun water taxi ever. I look for hotels that have all the feel for where you are and this place nails it. This is a Muslim hotel so no bar. Good thing we had a bottle of vodka from duty free. The hotel does not have a pool. The manage told me they are adding one soon! Good thing This place is just everything you would want in a cool place. Book it ! Parker in Santa Fe
crystala guest house

Ekadolli Nubian Guesthouse-by Kerma Hospitality

The hotel's triple room is more spacious, but the air conditioner in the room is louder once it is activated. The mosquitoes are a bit unacceptable, but the room is equipped with mosquito killer water. Breakfast is served at 8:00, and for us who are leaving early in the morning, we can provide a packed breakfast box. The hotel restaurant is on the third floor and the view is very good in the morning and evening.
