"This hotel, a venerable Shaoxing brand, is beautifully situated near Fushan Park, surrounded by lush greenery, making for a truly comfortable stay. Its location is unbeatable, just a short walk to Cangqiao Straight Street, and only a few minutes by taxi to other attractions like Lu Xun's former residence. I was initially torn between the Xianheng Hotel and Shaoxing Hotel, but the stunning garden at Shaoxing Hotel ultimately won me over. The breakfast was also excellent. My only minor gripe is that we stayed in an older building where the facilities felt a bit dated, and for a five-star hotel, I was surprised there wasn't a dedicated butler service. However, the front desk staff was quite helpful and promptly resolved any issues we had."

"The hotel boasts a prime location, offering convenient access to shopping, dining, and transportation. It also has its own parking lot, making parking very easy. The front desk staff are incredibly welcoming and attentive, providing quick check-in and resolving any issues promptly. The front desk offers a self-service snack bar, including Jinhua's signature shortbread. During our summer stay, we received complimentary popsicles, while in winter, we enjoyed brewed tea and warm mineral water – very thoughtful touches. The room's decor is minimalist, appealing to young people. The rooms are impeccably clean and tidy. The facilities are comprehensive; I especially loved the smart toilet with a heated seat, preventing it from feeling icy in winter. The breakfast is delicious, a buffet with a wide variety of options, including Jinhua's signature radish and meat dumplings – particularly tasty. Check-out time is also very convenient, at 2 PM, so there's no worry about oversleeping or running out of time. This is truly a hidden gem of a hotel; the overall experience was excellent, making guests feel truly at home."

"This gaming hotel genuinely offered a great experience. The PC setup was more than adequate; I could play mainstream games with stable frame rates and absolutely no lag. The keyboard and mouse felt responsive and comfortable, and the gaming chairs were surprisingly comfortable even during extended gaming sessions. The room layout was well-designed; the gaming and lounging areas felt spacious and distinct, and the lighting was soft and not at all harsh.
Cleanliness was impeccable. The bed linen was spotless, the bathroom was free of any unpleasant odors, and even the small details were well-maintained. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Both check-in and check-out were quick and efficient, and they responded promptly to any needs or requests. Snacks and drinks were available for purchase right in the room, which was incredibly convenient as there was no need to step out.
Overall, it offers excellent value for money. It's perfect for a gaming session with friends – much better than huddling on a sofa at home – and you can also get a comfortable rest. Definitely worth trying out!"

"The hotel is very new, and the bedding and everything was very clean, showing that the owner has invested a lot in it. The receptionist was very welcoming; I booked two rooms, and the receptionist upgraded one of them. The two rooms are opposite each other; the room facing the road has a great view, opposite Futian Elementary School, and there's a bit of traffic noise, but it's acceptable. The other room is opposite another hotel, so it's very quiet. Three meals a day are provided, and the food quality is very high! The taste is also very good and delicious. The dishes are rotated daily, and there's a freshly cooked noodle and pastry station for breakfast. Judging from the ingredients, the owner has a high budget for the meals. Since I ate all three meals at the hotel, I didn't have a chance to go out and try Yiwu cuisine, haha. The breakfast selection might be slightly less than a five-star hotel in terms of bread and pastries, but the hot dishes are just as good, and the fruit is very fresh. However, in the future, the management should provide guests with meal vouchers and have someone specifically collect them; otherwise, the costs would be quite high. The hotel is equipped with smart home systems (curtains/lights/TV), although sometimes the voice control for ”Wanyue” to turn on the lights might not be recognized. The cleanliness of the shower drain needs some attention. The shower water pressure is fine, and hot water is readily available.
However, here are a few suggestions:
- Hot drinks should not be placed in the glass area, but rather in the teacup area with handles. For example, putting scalding hot soy milk in a glass could be dangerous and cause burns.
- A smoking area could be designated at the back door on the first floor. Smoking should be prohibited in the lobby and elevator areas, and no-smoking signs should be posted.
- The lock on room 517 has a problem. When the door handle is pressed from the outside, the lock cylinder inside doesn't retract.
- I don't know if this is only in my room, but the door opens towards the sink, and the doorstop protrudes slightly from the floor, making it easy for guests to step on it while washing their hands. If the door were mirrored so that it opens towards the shower area, and the doorstop was also placed on the shower side, it would be much better.
- The plastic slippers provided had a strong plastic smell. I initially thought it was from the renovation, but it actually smelled like slippers. I suggest replacing them.
- The ”Do Not Disturb” mode doesn't provide a notification. Providing a plastic ”Do Not Disturb” tag for guests to hang on the outside door would be helpful.

"My overall experience at Wenzhou Yongtang Garden Hotel was absolutely perfect this time. The hotel's design and ambiance are top-notch, from the floral arrangements in the lobby and the faux fireplace to the exquisite and tasteful soft furnishings in the artsy restaurant. Every corner of the hotel is picture-perfect. The location is superb, very close to Wuma Pedestrian Street, making it incredibly convenient for shopping and getting around.
The front desk service was exceptionally thoughtful. The staff proactively guided me through check-in, patiently and courteously explained the floor amenities, breakfast times, and convenient facilities, answering all my questions. I even met the hotel owner, who was also very humble and polite, treating everyone with warmth and enthusiasm, showing genuine care in every detail.
The room hygiene was impeccable. There was no odd smell inside, the bedding was clean and flat, and the desk, mirror cabinet, and TV corners were wiped spotless. We took a room with a large bed and a children's room, but there were three adults, I calmly lay down on this bed with a height of 177, which was nice. The room is really like in the picture, plus a huge private terrace and a balcony with a beautiful view added impressions, because on this whole floor was only our room and the same on the other side. But of course the best thing about this hotel is the animals, they are incredible, they don't live like in a circus in a cage, they walk. Breakfast with giraffes is really incredible, but not only they are beautiful there, I strongly advise you to study the map and go to the rest of the animals, we were most impressed by ostriches, meerkats and raccoons. About the service, some staff in the hotel spoke English, which is very unusual for China. We had some difficulties with the room, but they helped us solve the problem, cheered us up with some gifts and we were able to enjoy this hotel. We also additionally asked to clean the room, after that everything really became clean.
I recommend, the impressions of the animals and the rooms were incredible!

MCCaoTwo nights, three days – I'd always heard that when it comes to hotels in Qiandao Lake, there's the InterContinental and then there's everything else. This trip really drove that point home.
The drive from Wuxi to Qiandao Lake takes four hours. Since the InterContinental occupies its own island, having a car makes getting around much easier.
The scenery along the Hangzhou Ring Expressway leading to Qiandao Lake is absolutely stunning, especially once you enter Qiandao Lake itself, with its myriad of winding islands and towering mountains. As soon as you exit the highway, you're practically in the mountains. The InterContinental's flags lining the mountain road gave a real 'welcome home' feeling.
Driving with the windows down along the lake, you're enveloped in fresh, oxygen-rich air.
Before even entering the hotel, I spotted the lighthouse and the Arc de Triomphe. The hotel lobby entrance is a beautiful photo op, a perfect blend of lake and sky.
I stayed in a lake view room, and the view was absolutely breathtaking, overlooking Qiandao Lake. Add a Qiandao Lake beer, and my mood was instantly uplifted. The floor-to-ceiling windows had a sofa for enjoying the view. The room was spacious and very well-maintained. They even provided a crib for my child, which was reassuring. The toiletries were excellent, and the bathtub was perfect for a relaxing soak.
I'd read many reviews about the dinner, and after trying it myself, I thought it was quite good. While the variety might not be extensive, it was definitely sufficient, and the taste was decent.
For breakfast, I'd seen reviews mentioning long queues, but it's really just for registering your room number. Seating was quick, and the food was good. I recommend sitting by the window in the priority seating area, where you can see the infinity pool seamlessly blend with the Qiandao Lake scenery.
Swan Lake offers animal feeding, but this area could definitely be improved. There were too few animals, and I suggest increasing the interactivity.
The kids' club has different zones, but I think it could be even better. The space is quite large, and with better planning and layout, a more integrated approach could offer more movement options for kids, and improved climbing and ground-level activities.
I highly recommend both the infinity pool and the indoor pool. My kids didn't want to leave! The pools have shallow and deep areas, catering to children of all ages. You can also rent or buy swimming gear at the hotel, which is very convenient. The scenery is stunning, and the water quality is excellent.
Being a large hotel, it's perfect for an evening stroll, whether to the viewing platform, the lighthouse, or just along the lake – it's very relaxing.
Renting an electric tour car for 120/hour is a great way to explore the mountains comfortably in the summer.
The hotel offers many activities, such as children's themed events and morning guided hikes. It would be even better if they added more water activities or equipment.
It's wonderful to slow down and relax on this tranquil island amidst a busy life.

HaohaoYesterday's breakfast was disappointing, so I went back down at 9 AM today for breakfast. I was hoping for some traditional breakfast steamed buns (baozi). There was still an hour left until closing, and I asked the chef if there were any buns. I saw two large steamers, one with five or six plain steamed buns, and the other remained covered. The chef replied that they were all gone. Well, there was nothing I could do, so I ate some other things, which I didn't particularly enjoy, and had a coffee. I thought I'd check again for buns on my way out. Forty minutes later, it was still the same. So I called over what I assume was the floor manager, dressed in black. I told him I'd waited forty minutes for buns and hadn't gotten any. The manager asked the chef, who said no. Then, after seeing me leave, he made a phone call and said there were still some downstairs and that if I wanted them, someone would bring them up later. This is truly laughable. It's a five-star hotel, and I paid for my breakfast, but I don't even deserve a steamed bun? I think if I were the floor manager, I would have apologized first. Then, regardless of whether the guest had eaten their fill or not, I would have asked for their room number and personally brought a few buns to their room later, perhaps even with some drinks and fruit. I believe that kind of service is what truly befits a qualified five-star hotel.

This guesthouse has so much character! The owner clearly put a lot of thought and effort into the design. The massive, floor-to-ceiling bookshelf instantly brings a sense of calm, which is especially welcome on a hot summer day. It’s the perfect spot to unwind, browse books, read, or simply have a moment of quiet reflection. Oh, and the owner even gave me a complimentary room upgrade, which was incredibly comfortable.

Children like it very much, but I feel it is more suitable for couples because the design of the bathroom is a bit inconvenient for parent-child families. There is also a bathroom on the first floor, but there is no shower. Parents of the opposite sex have to take a shower in advance. Other than that, it is almost full marks. The service is very, very, very good. The brothers are very handsome and the sisters are also very beautiful. They have a strong sense of service. The housekeeper is responsive to every request. A care package is provided every day, which is a canvas cosmetic bag that can be taken away. The toiletries are lelabo, and there are enough drinks. The restaurant is not big, so make reservations in advance. The food is very delicate and the taste is good. Afternoon tea and hot spring bath are also provided. It is very, very, very comfortable!

The front desk staff were warm, efficient, polite, and professional. The room was spacious, clean, and tidy, and the housekeeping staff were also very courteous. The breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options. The hotel has a swimming pool and a gym, perfect for relaxing with a swim after sunset. It's a great spot for a weekend getaway. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay and would definitely come back if I have the chance.

The front desk service was excellent. The hotel's location is superb, just 50 meters from the subway station, making it very convenient to get around. The room was very comfortable and well-equipped. The front desk even helped upgrade my room, which made my stay very pleasant. Thumbs up!

I wanted to take my kids on a summer vacation but didn't want anything too strenuous, so I chose this Club Med. I heard it's an all-inclusive resort perfect for younger children, though maybe not so much for those over 10.
I booked a two-night hotel pre-sale package through Ctrip (including breakfast and tickets to either Xixi Wetland or Lingshan Fantasy), with a 400 RMB surcharge for weekend bookings. The hotel called the day before to confirm and said they'd add my WeChat for future communication, but they never did. They also didn't mention adding a butler service during check-in, which is something other hotels do better.
The hotel looks quite new and spacious, with most activities located on the basement level. For a hotel with a higher price point that prides itself on all-inclusive services, I was surprised to find that many entertainment options and parent-child activities required additional fees, and they weren't cheap either. This was a bit disappointing. On Friday and Saturday evenings, there's a mini-show, and on Sunday evening, there's a Chashan Qing performance. The shows make the evenings pass quickly. During the day, we mainly rested in the room and occasionally visited the mini water park, where the kids had fun in the water. The indoor children's playground is quite small and suitable for very young children; older kids won't find it very engaging.
On the first day, we didn't want to go out for dinner, so we chose the hotel's Chinese restaurant for lunch. The dishes were mediocre, the portions were small, and the prices were not cheap. For dinner, we opted for the hotel buffet. The weekend prices were higher than weekdays, costing 328 RMB per adult and 218 RMB per child over 4 years old. The prices were a bit high. For the buffet, children are charged by age, not height. What can a child under 120cm really eat? The variety of dishes was also quite limited. For example, there was only one spicy flavor of crayfish, and the other dishes were just so-so. The mark-up felt excessive. For adults and children who don't eat sashimi and such, the value for money was very low. Since my child can't eat raw food, they pretty much only had some vermicelli soup at the buffet.
The evening amusement park games were also very perfunctory; I didn't feel like playing at all. When I finally found a craft activity and sat down to try it, a staff member immediately came over with a POS machine, ready to charge me. 😂

Nik ParksWe had an amazing stay here. The apartment is light, spacious and airy. The bed is huge and really comfortable and the shower and bathroom are also lovely. Having a kitchen with utensils, hob and microwave meant we could cook in the evenings which is a huge plus.
Breakfast was included in our stay and it was varied and tasty with some western options, fresh noodles and omelettes, fresh fruits and salads, bread, cheese, pastries and amazing coffee and fresh juices.
We used the pool several times (remember your swim caps!) and it was large and really nice for a swim.
The location is great. It's close to the West Lake area. We walked there and back which was about 45mins each way, but it's also very easy to jump in a Didi to venture further around to see the Tiger Springs or Nine Creeks and Misty Forest areas which are really beautiful.
The staff were very helpful. We arrived a little early and they checked us in straight away and very promptly answered all my questions. We asked for a late check-out and we were generously accommodated which was an added bonus.
Oh - and the lobby and hotel smell amazing too!
We will 100% stay here again when we return to Hanghzhou and would highly recommend it to other travellers if you'd like some luxury alongside home comforts.
