"The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the Potala Palace. It's also just a few hundred meters, a walkable distance, from Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street. The biggest highlight is the view; breakfast is served on the fifth-floor restaurant, offering an expansive and perfect view of the Potala Palace from afar. The night view, in particular, is stunning. Our room was a 180-degree unobstructed view room. While a bit more expensive, the unparalleled scenery makes it the best choice for viewing the Potala Palace from a distance. The breakfast was plentiful with a good variety, including local specialties like tsampa, and delicious butter tea and sweet tea. The room facilities were quite comprehensive, including a dedicated nasal oxygen concentrator. The room also provided complimentary Coca-Cola and glacial bottled water, with refills available, and a fresh fruit platter daily. We even received a small souvenir upon check-in. Overall, I'm very satisfied."

"On my一路318 self-drive trip, I stayed at all Songtsam's Tibet properties, and the scenery at Basongcuo is indeed stunning. You can see snow-capped mountains from the room, and the hotel's hardware configuration is top-notch within the Linka series. The butler service was also excellent. However, the staff at the scenic area entrance were truly awful. At Nanga Bawa Mountain Retreat and Lhagu, you just need to register to enter the scenic area. But at Basongcuo, even as a guest, you still need a ticket. That's fine, but first, they made us park aside to buy tickets and register. Then, as soon as we finished, a car with local plates immediately blocked the entrance, preventing us from entering. When we tried to communicate and ask what was going on, the security staff actually started yelling at us. For a national five-star scenic area, this is completely unacceptable. I suggest the hotel follow the example of the other two Songtsam properties and incorporate the ticket fee into the room rate for direct entry, to avoid such situations, or have a hotel staff member at the scenic area entrance to welcome and guide guests."

"Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay at The St. Regis Lhasa Resort. A special thanks to front desk staff member Riri for doing her best to coordinate a suitable room according to my request. Also, the butler and maintenance technician resolved an air conditioning issue in the middle of the night. The professionalism, dedication, and enthusiasm of all the staff at The St. Regis Lhasa Resort, from top to bottom, brought warmth and moved us during our time in Lhasa. There's no distinction of 'high or low' among people; hotel guests and staff simply have different roles and responsibilities. The key lies in how guests' concerns are addressed and the attitude and problem-solving approach of the staff when issues arise. We had booked a basic room, but because I'm sensitive to noise, Riri helped us upgrade to a quieter room. The air conditioning in our room would turn on automatically after being turned off. Around 1 AM, the maintenance technician came back and forth three times. Eventually, they decided to turn off the AC's circuit breaker and fix it the next day (which they did). Before we left, they even sent a small gift as an apology. Breakfast was decent, but I'd describe it as exquisite in presentation, bland in taste, and lacking variety. However, I've also tried meals at the Shangri-La Lhasa, the Crowne Plaza Linzhi, and the Songtsam Bason Co Linka, where some ingredients are even transported from Sichuan in advance due to special circumstances. The taste is generally similar across the board. Given the challenging environment, I believe they've done their best to achieve this level. Regarding some of the room's hardware, there's definitely room for improvement, and the hotel itself is aware of this. I hope to see improvements in the future. "I checked into the Dekang Hotel on the 24th, and it's a typical Tibetan-style hotel. As soon as I walked into the lobby, I was impressed by the exquisite decor and furnishings. The room was spacious, bright, well-equipped, and very clean. The owner was very kind and thoughtful. The front desk and staff were all very welcoming, making me feel right at home, so I extended my stay by two more days. The hotel's price is excellent compared to others in the area! The breakfast was rich and varied, with dishes, meat, eggs, and fruit, plus butter tea, tsampa, and yogurt – the milk was especially delicious! There's also an Indian restaurant on the fifth floor of the hotel, and plenty of other dining options nearby. You can find the famous Lhasa internet-famous Cuomu Liangfen (cold noodles), Lao Chengdu's Sichuan restaurant, and some great ******* restaurants. So many delicious choices, I couldn't try them all! Getting around from the hotel is super convenient. It's a short walk to Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street, and just a few stops by bus to the East Gate of Potala Palace Square, costing only 1 yuan. This truly lives up to its reputation as a hidden gem for tourists visiting Lhasa."

"I had a very comfortable three-night, four-day stay at the Nyingchi Crown Plaza, which was truly an unexpected highlight of my Tibet trip. I simply have to give them genuine praise. 👍 First, the service was incredibly thoughtful. We were greeted with a welcome dance upon arrival, and every evening we received a complimentary 'goodnight' drink and fruit. The room was always impeccably cleaned, and they even helped fold clothes and wash socks (which I was so grateful for!). 💐 The hotel's decor and aesthetics are wonderful; both the lobby and rooms are spacious and beautiful. Our room had a view of the snow-capped mountains, and there were free ******* incense making classes and afternoon tea experiences available. 🥞 The breakfast selection was very rich and satisfying every morning. The sweet tea was delicious, and the stone pot chicken for lunch was also quite good. I've already recommended it to friends and hope to stay here again if I ever return to Nyingchi.💖"

"Extremely satisfied! The hotel is very close to Barkhor Street and Potala Palace, both within walking distance, making its location absolutely superb! The hotel elevator goes directly to the 6th floor, where there's a popular cafe that's perfect for photos. Atour is a chain, so it's very clean and well-equipped with a light luxury feel. The Dyson hairdryer, high-quality pajamas, Peet's coffee, and a coffee machine are all highlights. Most importantly, the hotel also offers a video shoot of the 'dryland scallion pulling' experience, a welcome gift, and afternoon tea/coffee! There's also a butler service; you can just WeChat them if you need anything. Truly excellent! 👍🏻"

"The most satisfying hotel of our trip to Tibet, even better than the St. Regis Lhasa! 1. The hotel is very grand and the design is full of ******* style. 2. The location is excellent, very convenient for visiting the Jokhang Temple, and there are plenty of dining options/supermarkets nearby. 3. A special thank you goes to Manager Shiyi, a benchmark for service in the hotel industry! She called beforehand to confirm (though I missed the call), and upon arrival, upgraded our family of three to a family suite (two bedrooms and a living room, ridiculously spacious). She also recommended Xiao Pangzi Sichuan restaurant to us (which was delicious!). After checking in, any questions we had were answered very promptly, and she even allowed us to check out late at 3:30 PM, so my parents could rest well before their 4 PM high-speed train. We are truly grateful! I've never been so well taken care of as a Titanium Elite member at any Marriott property! 4. The hotel robots proactively deliver takeout to the room, a blessing for lazy people. 5. The breakfast was unexpectedly good, comparable to the St. Regis Lhasa."

"This was my first time visiting Tibet, and I chose the Shangri-La. The front desk had a short-haired young lady who was incredibly friendly and even upgraded our room. The welcome fruit and small welcome cakes were a lovely touch. The hotel's medical room was also a lifesaver. When a family member experienced altitude sickness, they immediately got an IV and oxygen. Plus, we could take an oxygen tank back to the room for 780 RMB. The hotel is just a 5-minute walk to the Tibet Museum and a 10-minute walk to Norbulingka. Taxis are also readily available for getting around. The breakfast selection was extensive. While the afternoon tea and dinner options weren't vast, they were all delicious. My only minor complaint would be that upon check-in, no one escorted us to our room or helped with our luggage. For first-time guests, dragging two large suitcases and suffering from altitude sickness, it took a while to find our room."
