I especially want to commend the quality of the hotel's front desk staff. Ms. Starry Cui was exceptional, confirming guests' needs even before booking. The check-in process was seamless, and the room was prepared exactly as requested. During our stay, she also proactively checked in to ask for feedback, and she handled our check-out arrangements meticulously. This hotel is our go-to whenever we visit Nanjing Road. It's grand, with traditional Western decor, and everyone from the doorman to the cleaning staff is incredibly polite and courteous, making our stay very comfortable. It truly embodies my ideal 'Shanghai-style' hotel.

Our stay was wonderful! The room was spotless, and the view from the window was absolutely beautiful. The comfort was all-encompassing, from the perfect indoor temperature and humidity, lighting, and soundproofing, to the excellent shower water temperature. The welcome snacks and fruit were a lovely touch too. Any specific needs we had were met promptly. A big thank you to the service team, especially Lynn, Minnie, Vivian, and Lily from the Guest Relations team. It was a truly delightful experience!

Highly recommended. Mr. Li provided outstanding service throughout my stay. He helped me with multiple things, including changing rooms and finding items I needed. My Chinese isn’t very good, but he always listened carefully and communicated in a way I could understand. What impressed me most was that he assisted me right away even at midnight when I needed to change rooms. He genuinely gives his best to every guest.
The hotel does have a few minor downsides and some facilities were a bit broken, and it’s slightly far from the subway but the excellent service made my stay truly memorable.

Everything was perfect, from the front desk staff, garage and ground parking attendants, those issuing parking vouchers and inputting license plates, to the housekeeping on each floor, and the restaurant and executive lounge service teams—everyone was friendly, polite, and patient. During the day, doormen in European-style uniforms assisted with car drop-offs and luggage handling. The dining options were plentiful and of high quality. Both the hotel's interior and exterior, as well as the room condition, exceeded expectations. The suite was furnished to feel like a home, complete with various furniture and amenities. The executive lounge environment was also very elegant and comfortable, and the hotel is close to the ferry and cruise terminals. As a Bund hotel, it offers excellent value for money overall and is a perfect place to enjoy beautiful scenery, delicious food, and unwind.

I came here alone for my birthday and had informed the hotel in advance. To my delight, there was a lovely and delicious tiramisu birthday cake waiting for me in the fridge! It was quite big and very tasty.
Regarding the single guest lounge access (including executive lounge breakfast): The afternoon tea selection was a bit limited, and it's the smallest executive lounge I've ever seen. Still, it was enough to grab a quick bite and fill up, haha.
The night view was absolutely stunning! There were no clouds or rain, so I got to enjoy a beautiful panorama. The view in the morning when I woke up was fantastic too!

One of the best place to stay! Owners were very nice and accommodating. The place is not so like the photos posted but room is cozy to stay. We also experienced harvesting chillies and sweet potatoes which the owner gladly cooked for lunch. It was sweet and yummy! We also had a great time roaming around since they had a motorbike you could borrow. Over all, it's a nice experience if you want a quite and peaceful days off!
谢谢

Booked a collection executive room and was very happy with my room on the 29th floor with the most perfect view on Shanghai's skyline. Hotel is perfectly located on the Nanjing East road in the very center of Shanghai. Hotel itself and rooms are a bit worn out - need renovation in the nearest future but room was immaculately clean and provided with fresh bottled water every day.
Breakfast was very good - both chinese and western. cuisine provided, lot of fruit, pastry and very good coffee.
Special thanks to the executive lounge manager Annie who is the most friendly and helpful lady with perfect knowledge of english language. During the happy hours and afternoon tea time Ms. Annie explained clearly all the choices of food served and the beverages.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Had a beautiful spacious view in the 39th floor. Immaculately clean, fast WiFi (you need proper vpn if you need western services).
Location is perfect, a bit far from the noise of the Nanxing road but lots of good dining options nearby and metro is 5 mins away. There’s Aldi in the same building
Gym was okay, good for basic workouts
Breakfast is magnificent, rotating platform on the top floor, so many options. I loved the noodle soup, had it every day, though there are western options too

Upon alighting at the main roadway, Hotel staff Jerry (super nice guy!) readily assisted with our luggage and ushered us to the 2nd floor check in area. He was extremely friendly and helped us with our temp storage as room was not ready. Recommended nearby eateries and areas we can visit.
As for the hotel location, its jus opposite Line 2 metro that can take you to most touristic locations. At the ground floor is Starbucks and about 20m is An outdoor bar which you can enjoy. The next building a shopping mall (new century mall) where the popoluar No.3 Warehouse Restaurant is located at level 4. Across the street is the biggest Popmart and Adidas store as well as M&M! 2 Haidilao are also opposite each other.
As for room wise, a queen and single is really comfy for us - family of 4.

This is my second stay at this hotel, and each visit brings a new surprise. The hotel facilities are very new, and the environment is thoughtfully designed. All the staff are very enthusiastic and greet you warmly. The room hygiene is impeccable, with clean, white bedding and special pillows provided, which is great for someone like me with neck issues. The location is very convenient, close to the subway station (about a 6-minute walk) and also very near Hongqiao Railway Station. It's an excellent choice when visiting Shanghai, so go ahead and book with confidence!

MM510816****I have to give a shout-out to Rookie from the Waldorf Astoria concierge team! As a first-time visitor, he genuinely surprised me with his warm and patient assistance, even helping me send a package. Mark was incredibly patient and efficient throughout, helping me plan my Shanghai fashion shopping itinerary. With him around, I didn't have to worry about planning anything for my trip! Max's service was also excellent, helping me take photos. The Christmas decorations were absolutely stunning. I'll definitely look for them again on my next visit!
BBenDoverrrOverall a great stay at Novotel Shanghai Pudong Chuansha. The room was clean and spacious, and the robot delivery service was a nice touch. Service was generally very good. The hotel is also conveniently located near Shanghai Disneyland, which is a plus.
Breakfast was quite basic with limited choices, and the lifts can be slow at times. Suitable for couples or staying with a spouse and children, but lacks privacy when sharing with parents or siblings. The toilet and shower area is very small with no space to hang clothes inside. The bed faces the mirror outside the bathroom, affecting privacy.
Despite these minor issues, it was a comfortable stay and good value overall.
MM467266****Absolutely thrilled with my stay! The room was small, but I absolutely adored it. It was spotlessly clean, and the mattress offered the perfect balance of firmness and softness. They even provided a selection of both memory foam and cotton pillows, which were incredibly comfortable. While the room had a ventilation system, it lacked a window, so it could feel a little stuffy at times, but it was perfectly acceptable. The bathroom and shower were kept immaculately clean, which was very reassuring. The hairdryer was also excellent – I forgot the brand, but I'm seriously considering buying one for myself, haha! They provided fresh disposable towels, disposable slippers, and bottled water daily. Plus, the lobby offered complimentary lemon water and hot tea. However, there was no designated area to hang or dry clothes. If you're on a multi-day trip, it's best to pack enough outfits for each day.

AAmy Nuengruthai PathumwongseAs this is The Ritz-Carlton, expectations are naturally high — and they were certainly met. From the moment I arrived, the check-in experience was warm and welcoming, accompanied by genuine smiles.
I would especially like to compliment Chris (I remember her name because it reminds me of Christmas). She was exceptionally friendly, helpful, and thoughtful, showing true attentiveness and care. Her service perfectly reflected the high standards and gracious hospitality that The Ritz-Carlton is known for.
One small tip for future guests: it may be best to avoid corner rooms. While they are comfortable, the view can be limited, and the room door is very close to the neighboring room. You may occasionally hear noise when the neighboring door opens or closes. Aside from this minor point, everything else was perfectly fine.
AAnnisidelvxingbijiFacilities: Compared to some of the hotels in the old Bund area, Banyan Tree is a newcomer, so the overall facilities are newer. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, all over 60 square meters, which is excellent for this location.
Service: When checking in, since there weren't two adjacent rooms available in our original booking (we were a family of 4 adults and 1 child), they proactively upgraded our room type. The service during our stay was also very attentive. As it was my husband's and mother-in-law's birthdays the day before and the last day of our stay, respectively, they even sent us a small cake, which was a very thoughtful touch.
Ambiance: With Christmas approaching, the hotel already had a strong festive atmosphere, especially the Christmas tree in the garden. It looked absolutely beautiful when lit up at night and was perfect for photos, haha.

GGuest UserFirst time staying at this hotel. Had to top up a little to get a room with a view, but it was definitely worth it. Nothing like waking up to the view of Shanghai Pearl and Huangpu River everyday.
Located at The Bund, hotel had a classic feel. Room was spacious and comfortable, and toilet comes with Japanese style bidet and seat warmer. Also includes complimentary minibar with Jagermeister, which was good for the cold weather. Hotel was generous with water, which was readily available at the lift lobby area at our floor. Only thing lacking in the room was probably the absence of hooks for towel and clothes in the toilet, a minor inconvenience.
Hotel breakfast had a wonderful and delicious spread, including red and white wine. Did not get tired even after 3 consecutive days. Would recommend this hotel for those that like staying on The Bund but be prepared to pay for it.
TTiffanyReceptionists are very helpful and polite. Room is very spacious and clean. Location a bit far from MRT (15-20mins walk) but overall is good location to stay. Nearby also have local breakfast and some cafe and restaurants.
MMaySateeThis is my second time staying here. The hotel staffs are very friendly and helpful. They try their best to accommodate us in all aspects. I bought a pair of shoes that would be delivered to the hotel on the next day, I informed the concierge and they thoroughly went through details of the expected parcel to prevent errors and miscommunication with the delivery. The next day when my parcel arrived, the concierge called and make sure the parcel delivering was the correct one for me. As for the house keeping, they noticed that we drank all 4 bottles of complimentary water everyday and from our 3rd day of staying onward they gave us 6 bottles without our request. Not to mention that I accidentally spilled milk over my bed in the rush, I informed the front desk before we headed out and they enthusiastically told me not to worry they would send the house keeper to change my bed sheet right away. In the morning of our last day, Oliver from the front desk called to confirm our check out and informed that hotel’s check out time was twelve noon. They also asked how many luggage we had and what time would we want the concierge to come collect them which I told them to come up around 11am, and at 11am sharp they rang on my door. Oliver from the front desk came along with the concierge, accompanied us down and helped us through the check out process and luggage deposit. Around 1:30 pm when we came back from lunch, our luggage was ready for us to pick up and headed out to the airport.
FFEIFISHYThis was my first time staying at the Andaz, and Peter checked me in. He seemed like a real food enthusiast and confidently told me their breakfast was excellent, urging me to try it on my first visit. He was absolutely right! The breakfast quality was very high, with a rich variety of both Chinese and Western options. If you went a bit later, there was even a queue. I was very satisfied with my stay overall. Thanks for everything, Peter!
