We had a very enjoyable stay at this accommodation. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the subway, making it very convenient to get around the city. It is also situated along Nanjing Road, which is a major shopping street filled with plenty of shops and great food options, so there is always something to explore nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, which made the experience even more pleasant. One of the highlights was definitely the great view from the room, which added a nice touch to the overall stay. On the downside, the bathroom could be improved as the shower area does not have a proper shelf or space to place personal toiletries, which was a bit inconvenient. Overall, it is a comfortable and well-located place to stay, especially for those who want easy access to shopping, food, and public transport.

The soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a quiet and restful sleep. The location offered convenient access to transportation and dining options. The breakfast was plentiful and fresh. Overall, it exceeded my expectations and is an excellent choice for accommodation during travel.

Stayed here with my family during the Chinese New Year holiday. We had our New Year's Eve dinner at the hotel's Guangzhou Restaurant, and the room view was absolutely stunning, directly facing the Oriental Pearl Tower. The facilities were also great, spacious and comfortable. The lion dance on the first day of the New Year was lively and brought back a wonderful sense of tradition. So, choosing to spend New Year's Eve here was definitely the right decision.

Excellent experience at this hotel. The location is very convenient, making it easy to get around and explore the area. The service was very good throughout the stay, with staff who were attentive and always willing to help. The room exceeded my expectations: spacious, comfortable, and in perfect condition. The amenities are also of very high quality, which really enhances the overall experience. The buffet breakfast is 100% recommended, offering a great variety of options for all tastes. The pool is also very nice, perfect for relaxing. As a minor point for improvement, the gym could have more equipment, but overall everything was very positive. I would definitely come back.

I was planning to take my kids to the natural history museum, science museum, and planetarium during spring break. I saw online that Qilu Hotel was close to the subway station, so I booked three nights. To be honest, I didn't have high expectations when I booked it, as it was only a little over 500 RMB, including breakfast for two. After checking in, I found it was surprisingly good. At first, I had an issue with the Wi-Fi, and after contacting the front desk, they immediately sent a professional to help fix it. Later, when I needed dental kits, they also responded right away. This already left a good impression. The breakfast selection was decent, and everything tasted great; we tried different dishes over the three mornings. You could feel the star-rated service from the staff's smiles and words. The bedding was excellent; even though I usually have trouble sleeping, I slept soundly until morning. Century Link Plaza is right across the street, offering everything you could possibly need, which was very convenient. Transportation was also incredibly convenient; taking the subway with the kids using our transit cards saved both time and money, as it connects everywhere. Overall, this was an excellent choice, and the kids didn't even want to leave. Great value for money! 👍

Every time I visit Shanghai, I choose the Kempinski Executive. The staff are incredibly friendly, enthusiastic, and patient. The environment is very quiet, making for a pleasant stay, and the bedding is so comfortable that I always sleep well. Breakfast offers a good variety, and the quality is consistently excellent. Getting around from here is also very convenient. I'll definitely keep choosing this hotel for that home-away-from-home feeling.

This hotel truly exceeded our family's expectations! It's so convenient and spotlessly clean, which is a big plus for someone with a bit of a潔癖 (germophobia) like me. As soon as I walked in, I felt so comfortable. My child loved it too; we honestly didn't want to leave. They even gave us a free room upgrade! All in all, everything was perfect. I've already recommended it to a friend who's visiting soon, and we'll definitely be staying here again next time!

GGuest UserStaying at the Waldorf Astoria on the Bund is truly understanding the elegance of old Shanghai. The century-old building seamlessly blends its stately texture with modern luxury. From the vintage chandeliers in the lobby to the laid-back atmosphere of the Long Bar, every corner exudes a refined and sophisticated quality. The room offers an exceptional view, with the river and city skyline stretching out before you. The bedding is comfortable, and the details are thoughtfully curated. Our dedicated concierge, Aaron Coco, provided gentle and attentive service, never intrusive but always there when needed, making us feel genuinely well cared for and at ease.

SsignxService: The best hotel I've ever stayed at! No exaggeration. I've tried many hotels in Shanghai, including Shangri-La (Jingan, Pudong), Ritz-Carlton (Pudong), Peninsula (Bund), Shanghai Tower J-Hotel, Grand Hyatt, Kempinski, Disney hotels, Westin, Kerry Centre, Sheraton... Apart from Banyan Tree, which I'm not interested in, and St. Regis, which I tried in Sanya, and Waldorf Astoria, which I haven't had the chance to visit yet, I've checked out almost all the hotels my child and I were interested in. Honestly, W truly impressed me. From purchasing the package and booking the dates in advance to phone communication, the staff consistently displayed genuine warmth and professionalism. They meticulously noted all my requests, ensuring accurate internal communication. On the day of arrival, I wasn't feeling well and my tone wasn't great. Yet, the front desk staff listened attentively and with incredible patience throughout. This level of internal training deeply impressed me. There was none of the arrogance I've experienced at the Peninsula or Ritz-Carlton; instead, it was full of understanding for the customer. I actually want to come back and stay again soon! 😂 I even joked with the hotel staff, asking if this excellent service was because I booked a suite. 😝 But then again, I had suites at Shanghai Tower J-Hotel and Ritz-Carlton too, and the service there was... well, let's just say it was different. At the W, it's not just the front desk and lobby; even the staff helping with the elevator and the cleaning crew in the basement are incredibly cheerful and sincere. I love this fresh, uplifting energy and team. Facilities: The facilities are clean and hygienic, and every room has a bidet toilet seat, which is a nice touch! Environment: Very clean, and most importantly, the view across the river is absolutely stunning. Hygene: The hygiene is excellent, very clean. And their response time is super fast. If I had to pick one downside, it would be that the配套 facilities at Magnolia Plaza are a bit too low-end, haha. They really don't match the W's standard.

CCurious TravellerGreat location if you are heading for Disneyland or has an early flight to catch the next morning. Otherwise it is quite far from Shanghai city center - JingAn area- with no traffic - 45 min taxi ride) The hotel offers free shuttle to Disneyland which departs the hotel at 7:20am; and returns to the hotel at 10:20pm. It was a bit late for us since we finished watching the fireworks at 830pm. (Disneyland closes at 9:30pm ). So we just took a taxi (very few people waiting and cost ~RMB50; while the online car service costs ~R30 but the waiting area was very congested. The free shuttle to Putong airport departs on the hour and starts from 4 or 5am and takes less than 30min. Need to book one day in advance at the front desk. Our 3 persons family room has a double bed and a proper single bed( not fold up bed). Spacious enough for luggages. The negatives - we booked and paid for 3 persons - but hotel only offered breakfast for 2. We booked 2 nights but only has breakfast for one day. Strangest arrangement I have ever seen. BF - has reasonable options of Chinese and western cuisine . Noodle Bar was the best. Night snack- also has noodle bar with dumplings and congee.

YYan-plumNot bad at all! It's just across the road from Changshu Road Station on Metro Line 7. The hotel front desk staff are all very nice. They have a policy where you can't use hairdryers from 11 PM to 7 AM, which is a great idea to prevent late-night check-ins from disturbing other guests. If you have large luggage, it's probably best to store it at the front desk, otherwise, there might not be enough space in the room.

SShanghai based coupleAs a couple who has lived in Shanghai together for almost 10 years, with one of us also Shanghainese, we have been to a lot of the best places in Shanghai, and some of the more recommended places in about 20 cities in the broader nearby area. Nothing in the city or within several hours of high-speed rail compares to a stay at Ritz-Carlton Pudong. In Asia and indeed the planet, this impeccable hotel experience stands as an iconic example of old-world elegance and service. In addition, it also offers a unique view of both some of the most modern and tallest buildings and the city’s famed Bund riverside, home to a variety of art deco architectural masterpieces. We had the incredible good fortune to start our honeymoon at the Ritz in Pudong, and this last stay was our last honeymoon treat. As always, it was a spectacular experience that we cannot recommend enough. The most extraordinary part of the stay really is the staff, they are all world class people who go above and beyond to make the Ritz-Carlton Pudong such an exceptional institution in one of the world’s leading cities. Sincere thanks to the whole team for making this happen, including Cherryl, who made reservation delightfully effortless, Chris who helped us to our room, and Joey and Ruby who helped in the evening. Special and heartfelt thanks to the whole team who make the Club Lounge experience world beating: Eddie and Junita, who both lead by example, have a deep passion for the details that create excellence, as well as being just the nicest people. They are both incredibly inspiring leaders and professionals. Claire is generally excellent there but also was phenomenally helpful to get a bag back when it was left behind, we really apricated that. Jeramy and Vivian also are amazing, as are Club Lounge’s chef’s Joe and Austin. Sherry is a real star, attentive, sharp and so helpful. Last but not least, Helen, who was the first person to greet us after we got married, and fittingly the last person to help us create personalised room key cards with our wedding photo on it, and most recently a special photo of family from our honeymoon. Those keycards are really cool keepsakes, but making them is not as simple as you might think: the image is etched into the key, not printed, so the original photo needs to be translated by AI into an image that the etching system is capable of delivering, which is really impressive. When I showed my mom who lives very far away, even she was impressed with Helen’s work. Ordinarily we prioritise new experiences over more of the same, regardless of how comfortable and nice it is. But regardless of how hard we try, we have not been able to figure out a better way to celebrate our biggest moments than a stay at the Ritz in Pudong.

ZZhenxiaoshengPoppyI arrived a bit late, and the front desk staff proactively upgraded my room. The common areas have a really nice vibe, and the front desk service was excellent. The room itself was genuinely unique, even featuring a large thermostatic bathtub. If it feels too warm, you can contact the front desk to have the switch turned off. The river view from the room was absolutely stunning; seeing the river from a higher elevation offers a distinctly different experience than from below. This was a truly special stay, and it's definitely a hotel worth revisiting.

GGuest UserWe had a great time at the Maxx. There was a photo shoot in the lobby at the time we checked in and so it was a bit crowded. However, the checkin staff were able to use ipads to facilitate our check in. Its the small touches that matter like always having bottled water available on each floor, having complimentary drinks in the fridge and a warm greeting each time we left or came back to the hotel. The view from the room was excellent and the upgrade well worth its price to see the bund and pudong. It was as if the large ships were sailing at our eye level. Thanks for a lovely stay !!!

AAnonymous UserA perfect stay! The hotel's location is excellent, the room was spacious, quiet, and very clean, and the breakfast was incredibly rich and varied. On the day I checked in, I missed dinner and ended up with low blood sugar. The restaurant was busy with a group of Indian guests who had pre-booked a meal. A staff member, perhaps noticing I was very hungry, very kindly brought me two bowls of millet porridge. As someone who travels frequently for business, it's rare and truly appreciated to find a hotel where the staff are so kind and provide prompt service. After all, this wasn't part of the hotel staff's duties, especially since the hotel doesn't even offer dinner service. Yet, this staff member, despite clearly being very busy, immediately noticed a guest's need and went above and beyond their job scope. This is the greatest kindness you can show a guest. I believe this reflects the great care and culture instilled by the company, truly a hallmark of an excellent establishment. I extend my sincere thanks to all the hotel's management and staff, especially that particular team member 🙏. Note: My photos don't do it justice; the room was actually fantastic 🎉
