I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options to choose from each morning. The rooms were beautifully designed, clean, and very comfortable, making it easy to relax after a long day. The location is also a big plus—conveniently situated close to everything you need, which made exploring the area very easy. The staff were friendly, professional, and always helpful. Special thanks to Tim and the team for making our stay so smooth and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again.

I had a slight delay checking out, and the hotel was incredibly accommodating and understanding – very human-centered. They didn't rush me at all; their service is really flexible. Overall, it was impeccable! The hotel is high-end and stylish. They were always responsive to questions and requests, making it a fantastic experience. Getting around is super convenient; there are several popular spots right downstairs. The riverside is less than 900 meters away by foot, perfect for cycling and enjoying the river view. Plus, there are great Halal dining options nearby, including a Xinjiang restaurant, a noodle shop, and A Xiya...

Facilities: There are 2 washing machines and 2 dryers. The laundry area is a bit cramped, with treadmills located just behind it. Cleanliness: The room was clean. Since it's new, it's naturally in good condition. Environment: The hotel environment is decent. It's near an electronics market, and next to a Light Hotel. Service: Excellent. Both the front desk staff and the cleaning aunties greeted me proactively. I would definitely choose to stay here again. It's quite close to the pedestrian street, though not near a subway station. But that doesn't bother me as I usually take taxis 🚗.

I brought an inspection team to Shanghai this time, and our itinerary was packed. I initially thought the hotel would just be a place to sleep, but the Pudong Shangri-La truly exceeded my expectations. The moment I stepped into the room, the Bund river view outside the window immediately washed away most of my fatigue. Especially at night, gazing at the lit-up Huangpu River really makes you marvel at Shanghai's charm. What I want to praise most is their service – it wasn't a cold, distant politeness, but a genuine feeling of 'home.' Because I had meetings, I often left early and returned late. Once, I casually asked where I could find hot congee. Not only did the front desk staff patiently give me directions, but the next morning at breakfast, they actually proactively asked me if I had rested well. This feeling of being cared for is truly heartwarming in fast-paced Lujiazui. And the view from the Executive Lounge is absolutely breathtaking! Sipping coffee while looking at the Oriental Pearl Tower, my efficiency for organizing inspection notes significantly improved there. The breakfast selection was so extensive it was almost overwhelming, and every bite showcased the exquisite quality expected of a five-star hotel. Even though it's an older landmark in Shanghai, its steady elegance and just-right warmth still make it my top choice. Next time I'm in Shanghai, I'll definitely stay here again!

The Novotel Shanghai Atlantis is an excellent choice for experiencing the magic city's skyline. Located on Pudong Avenue, it's just a short walk to the subway, making transport very convenient. Its biggest highlight is the high-altitude view, directly facing Lujiazui's 'three-piece suit' (referring to the three iconic skyscrapers) and the Huangpu River. The night view is truly stunning. The revolving restaurant offers an expansive view, and the breakfast experience is superb. The hotel also features an indoor heated pool and a gym. While some facilities show a bit of age, its unbeatable views and attentive service still make it a highly cost-effective place to stay.

This is an established upscale hotel in the heart of Shanghai Pudong's commercial district (formerly the Qilu Courtyard by Marriott). Its location is superb, directly across the street from Century Link (which houses Century Avenue Metro Station, Shanghai's largest subway hub, connecting Lines 2, 4, 6, and 9). Next door is 96 Square, and First Yaohan Department Store is not far, making it incredibly convenient for leisure, shopping, and dining. Although it's over two decades old, the hotel's renovated environment and facilities feel brand new. The rooms are spacious, and the shower pressure is excellent and consistent, which was very comfortable. Plus, the price I booked on Ctrip offered great value for money.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Radisson Blu Hotel Shanghai New World. The experience exceeded our expectations in every way. The view from the hotel is truly unbeatable — especially overlooking the vibrant city skyline and People’s Square. The location is incredibly convenient, with easy access to shopping, dining, and major attractions, making it perfect for both leisure and business travelers. What made our stay especially memorable was the exceptional service. Duty Manager Justin was incredibly kind, attentive, and professional. We had several special requests during our stay, and he handled each one with great care and consideration, making us feel genuinely valued and well taken care of. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Shanghai and would definitely stay here again.

This is an eager five-star review, starting with a special shout-out to Bernie and Grace at the Executive Lounge for their exceptional help and superb coffee! All the other staff were also very nice, and the desserts by the plump chef at breakfast were incredibly amazing. It was a perfect travel experience, full marks. Now for the specifics. From the check-in date, the experience was top-notch. For my 4-day trip, the front desk offered a room upgrade at the minimum extra cost, allowing my whole family to enjoy a full river view plus executive benefits throughout our stay. The rooftop swimming pool was fantastic; the water quality was perfect, and swimming naked at night didn't feel uncomfortable at all. My baby practically lived in the pool and executive lounge for several days. The breakfast was more Western-style, with unbeatable desserts. The ice cream and donuts were outstanding. The Executive Lounge is on the 28th floor, and lunch is à la carte. I highly recommend the foie gras and wagyu burger – absolutely fantastic. The beef was cooked to perfection, and the tenderness of the foie gras and beef complemented each other beautifully. For afternoon tea, there were various coffee options, and the cappuccino and iced latte I tried were both excellent. The light dinner in the evening was more than sufficient for a traveler; the creamy mushroom chicken stew, grilled sausages, and curry beef left a very deep impression. Finally, let's talk about the room and hotel environment. Kempinski perfectly replicated the essence of classic elegance. While the room facilities might seem a bit dated, the hotel redefined luxury with its tangible comfort. The room temperature was always just right, and the experience with personal garments, towels, and bedding made you unconsciously indulge in the luxury. Even the blankets by the pool were warm, truly embodying the idea of 'warm service.' Lastly, to pick a bone, I'll offer some limited suggestions as a guest: Firstly, with the economic downturn, family travel will gradually become mainstream. Breakfast could add some kid-friendly items like smiley potato fries, ketchup, and bolognese pasta, which wouldn't significantly increase costs. Secondly, the glass needs cleaning, especially the panoramic glass at the pool, as it affects the view. I can't come up with a third point because the experience was truly excellent. I hope they continue their efforts. As a long-established luxury hotel in the 'center of the universe,' it needs to uphold not only its style and culture but also persistent passion and warmth. I will definitely visit again. (The ice cream wasn't replenished; it was photographed after closing, which shows how popular it is!)

You could post something like this for Crowne Plaza Shanghai Nanjing Road: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great location right in the heart of Shanghai and within walking distance to shopping, restaurants, the metro, and the Bund. The staff were very accommodating, professional, and always willing to help whenever needed. The room was clean, comfortable, and made for a very enjoyable stay. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Shanghai.

As a solo female traveler, this hotel quickly became one of my favorites. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and—most importantly—patient. I needed assistance shipping my luggage, and they handled everything seamlessly. Check-in was also quick and easy. The decor is absolutely beautiful. I love birds, so I was pleasantly surprised to discover it’s a bird-themed hotel—with live birds in the lobby! The design is so stylish, it honestly inspired me to rethink my own home decor. And the breakfast? Phenomenal. I genuinely wish I had more stomachs so I could try everything. The next time I’m in Shanghai, I’ll definitely be staying here again. Thank you for a WONDERFUL stay!

CCiky2023Our romantic winter getaway began the moment we stepped into Dino Starry Resort, immediately feeling a warm welcome. Unlike a typical hotel's impersonal atmosphere, the staff here felt like old friends, making us feel right at home and completely relaxed. Getting to Disneyland was a breeze with their Mercedes shuttle, which departed at our pre-arranged time. Breakfast was plentiful, and our room was spotless and tidy. The overall environment was lovely, and there were even small animals in the backyard that we could feed for free. The biggest surprise, though, was experiencing authentic winter fun. We gathered around a traditional earthen pot stove, warming ourselves and chatting, or enjoyed a steaming hotpot cooked in a vintage hanging pot. On sunny days, we even had a lively outdoor BBQ with plenty of smoke and laughter. From the rustic charm of the earthen pot to the nostalgic feel of the hanging pot and the vibrant energy of the BBQ, this place had it all. Dino Starry is more than just a place to stay; it's a wonderful space where you can unwind, leave your weariness behind, and relive cherished moments. Come and gather with your loved ones here, and collect a whole winter's worth of warmth amidst delicious food and laughter!

GGuest UserThis classic hotel lives up to its reputation. The facilities are comprehensive and well-maintained, and the service is meticulous and thoughtful. Concierges Aaron and Katrina were particularly patient and detailed, making communication pleasant and smooth. Overall, the stay was comfortable and delightful. The hotel has a timeless charm, beautifully preserved like a beauty who defies age. The Long Bar, specially recommended by the concierge, is also exceptional. With the Bund and Oriental Pearl Tower outside the window and the Waldorf Astoria inside, it offers a truly superb experience of Shanghai's Bund. Highly recommended! 👍 However, do note that you need to be on a higher floor to enjoy a full panoramic view of the Bund. The picture shows the view from the 17th floor.

GGuest UserMy stay at the W Shanghai - The Bund was truly warmed by Karina from the loyalty team. Seeing that I was injured, Karina took meticulous care of me throughout my stay, proactively offering help and thoughtful well-wishes, which made me feel incredibly at ease. Not only was the service impeccable, but her attitude was also incredibly gentle and considerate. I truly felt the W Hotel's emphasis and care for its guests. Highly recommend, and I will definitely choose to stay here again next time!

GGuest UserThe Peninsula Shanghai, nestled by the Waibaidu Bridge, the Monument to the People's Heroes, and the Bund, might not be described as 'convenient' in the traditional sense, but I found its location perfect for soaking in the unique Shanghainese vibe! The service here is wonderfully old-school and distinctively 'Shanghai' – unhurried yet efficient, demonstrating a clear and deep understanding of guest needs. The rooms are classic Peninsula style, with well-defined functional areas, superb soundproofing, and impeccable cleanliness and maintenance, putting my mind completely at ease. The dining experience was a genuine delight; both breakfast and the Cantonese restaurant in the evening were so memorable. I particularly loved the evening bath ritual – pressing the SPA button and immersing myself in the tranquil, ethereal music, it felt like I was back in a cozy island retreat! My two-day Peninsula experience was a solid 12 out of 10. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Shanghai who wants to truly experience its unique charm!

CCurious TravellerGreat location if you are heading for Disneyland or has an early flight to catch the next morning. Otherwise it is quite far from Shanghai city center - JingAn area- with no traffic - 45 min taxi ride) The hotel offers free shuttle to Disneyland which departs the hotel at 7:20am; and returns to the hotel at 10:20pm. It was a bit late for us since we finished watching the fireworks at 830pm. (Disneyland closes at 9:30pm ). So we just took a taxi (very few people waiting and cost ~RMB50; while the online car service costs ~R30 but the waiting area was very congested. The free shuttle to Putong airport departs on the hour and starts from 4 or 5am and takes less than 30min. Need to book one day in advance at the front desk. Our 3 persons family room has a double bed and a proper single bed( not fold up bed). Spacious enough for luggages. The negatives - we booked and paid for 3 persons - but hotel only offered breakfast for 2. We booked 2 nights but only has breakfast for one day. Strangest arrangement I have ever seen. BF - has reasonable options of Chinese and western cuisine . Noodle Bar was the best. Night snack- also has noodle bar with dumplings and congee.

CCarol Lim KHStayed at The Ritz-Carlton Shanghai, Pudong for one night, and it was truly a memorable experience. We were two female travelers and booked a Skyline View Twin Room. The room was spacious, elegant, and beautifully designed, with a modern yet luxurious feel. The highlight was definitely the stunning skyline view—especially at night, the city lights created a breathtaking atmosphere right from the comfort of our room. It was a perfect setting to relax and unwind. The beds were extremely comfortable, with high-quality linens that ensured a restful sleep. The room was impeccably clean, and every detail reflected the hotel’s high standards. The bathroom was equally impressive, featuring a well-designed layout, a strong shower, and a generous bathtub, making the overall experience even more enjoyable. The service was exceptional, as expected from a Ritz-Carlton property. The staff were professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient. The location in Pudong is very convenient, with easy access to shopping malls, restaurants, and key attractions. It is an excellent choice for both leisure and business travelers. Overall, this hotel offers a perfect combination of luxury, comfort, and service. It was a wonderful stay, and I would definitely return in the future.

GGuest UserStayed at Banyan Tree Shanghai recently and had a mixed experience overall. The highlight of the stay was definitely the view — absolutely stunning and one of the best parts of the hotel. The room also felt modern with thoughtful touches like the automated Toto toilet system, which added a nice luxury feel. However, there were a few areas that fell short of expectations for a 5-star property. The shower water pressure was quite weak, which made it less enjoyable. More noticeably, the air conditioning didn’t perform well — even when set to 20°C, the room temperature stayed around 22°C but felt closer to 25–26°C. It became uncomfortable enough that I had to request a fan. Service could also be improved. I had 5–6 parcels delivered to the hotel, and while they were collected, the staff did not offer any assistance to bring them up to the room, which felt lacking in customer attentiveness. Additionally, during check-out, there was no effort made to ask about my stay or gather feedback, which was surprising for a hotel of this standard. In terms of facilities, the breakfast spread was above average and definitely in line with what you’d expect from a 5-star hotel — a good variety and quality overall. However, the room itself showed some wear and tear, with visible cracks in the sink, suggesting that parts of the hotel may be due for renovation. Overall, Banyan Tree Shanghai has strong potential with its views and amenities, but improvements in maintenance, service, and guest engagement would make a big difference to the overall experience.

GGuest UserI had a fantastic stay at this hotel and I have to give special recognition to Ding Yu (丁宇) because she truly made the experience exceptional. From the moment I arrived she was warm, professional, and incredibly attentive. She handled check-in smoothly, answered all my questions with patience and went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect throughout my stay. It’s rare to come across someone so genuinely dedicated to guest satisfaction. She’s an absolute star. The rest of the team also deserves a shoutout. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, efficient and welcoming which really added to the overall comfort of the stay. The hotel itself is in a fantastic location. It is a very short walk to the Bund making it easy to enjoy the skyline and riverside views. Getting around was effortless with quick Didi rides to all the major attractions. The rooms were impressively spacious, clean, and well-designed offering a comfortable place to unwind after a day out. Overall, this hotel ticks all the boxes with excellent service, prime location, and great room quality. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area!
