Hotel near Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Moon Spring,Dunhuang
"Staying at Shazhou Wild Luxury Camp in Dunhuang was an amazing experience. Tucked away on the edge of Mingsha Mountain, it offers private access to the vast desert. Unlike the crowded Crescent Lake scenic area, this place is tranquil and relaxing. In the evenings, we played cards in the cool shade of the terrace, watched the sunset, and then the sunrise in the mornings. At night, we could step out anytime to gaze at the starry sky and the Milky Way. It was a truly unique experience, highly recommend! Just a couple of suggestions: 1. It would be great if you could recommend a few spots and paths for sandboarding. Otherwise, kids with sandboards run around everywhere, and some dunes are too hard to slide down, wasting a lot of energy and time. 2. Could you consider installing a rope ladder to the highest dune, similar to Crescent Lake? It would make climbing much easier. Otherwise, the women and children in our group couldn't make it up, which was a shame given the beautiful views."

At the foot of DanxiaMountain Here's the Kaoshan Tent Where you can enjoy good drinks And merry winth friends At night the moon and stars color your dreams; At dawn the sunrise feasts your eyes Oh, what a beautiful life At the lovely tent

"After comparing several accommodations for my trip to Zhangye Danxia, I chose Kaoshan Daying (Back Mountain Camp). The Starry Sky Yurt was what truly captivated me, and my entire stay exceeded expectations – highly recommended! Location-wise, the camp is right next to the West Gate of the Danxia scenic area, making travel incredibly convenient. No need for roundabout detours; I could step out early in the morning to catch the Danxia sunrise. This fantastic location also saved me a lot of effort when it came to stargazing at night. Now, let's talk about the Starry Sky Yurt. Before I arrived, I was a bit worried about roughing it in a tent out in the wilderness, but my stay completely changed my mind. The yurt was spotlessly clean and tidy, well-ventilated with no strange odors. The bed was soft and comfortable, and despite the large temperature swings in the Gobi Desert between day and night, the interior was well-insulated and never felt cold or damp. The en-suite bathroom was excellent, with 24-hour hot water and a full range of toiletries. It truly offered a luxurious wilderness experience that blended comfort with ambiance, without compromising on daily conveniences. However, the panoramic skylight at the top of the yurt was the real highlight and the biggest surprise of my trip. The camp is far from the city, meaning almost no light pollution. As night fell, the entire sky was unblocked and spread out above me. I didn't even have to step outside into the wind; I could lie in bed and gaze up at the countless stars. The Milky Way stretched clearly across the mountains, with stars so bright and dense – a magnificent night sky rarely seen in the city. Lying there quietly, watching the celestial river flow and listening to the distant Gobi breeze, all my travel fatigue slowly melted away. It was incredibly romantic and healing. The camp's amenities were also very thoughtful. In the evening, you can enjoy a starlit BBQ and hotpot. After dinner, there's a bonfire party. Then, after a stroll, you return to your yurt to continue enjoying the tranquil starry sky. The self-driving parking area is spacious, and RV resupply facilities are comprehensive. The staff were warm and meticulous in their service; they thoughtfully informed me of the best stargazing times and were always on hand to help with any issues. The unique Danxia mountain light show at night, coupled with the vast starry sky, created a multi-layered and stunning view. The special clear-broth suoyang hotpot was authentic and generously portioned, perfect for a hot meal after a day of exploring. Whether you're traveling as a couple or with friends, the Starry Sky Yurt is an exceptionally suitable choice. You can admire the Danxia landforms up close and immerse yourself in lying under the Milky Way – it perfectly combines natural beauty with comfortable accommodation. This is an unmissable gem when visiting Danxia, and I will definitely choose the Starry Sky Yurt again on my next trip to Zhangye."

Hotel near Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Moon Spring,Dunhuang
The Silk Road Dunhuang Hotel (Dunhuang Shanzhuang) is the most luxurious accommodation option in town. Located just outside of town, this hotel has a large range of rooms from standard to suites and villas.A little inconvenient for travelers interested in spending most of their time in downtown Dunhuang, the hotel does have plenty of amenities and entertainment rooms to keep their guests entertained. There is a shuttle bus that runs to and from town.

"My wife and I just stayed at the Dunhuang Hotel. We were incredibly impressed by the beautiful architecture, excellent service, and profound cultural heritage of this place. The hotel boasts an exceptional location near Mingsha Mountain, offering panoramic desert views from its upper floors. The entire establishment resembles a desert castle, standing majestically amidst the vast Gobi Desert, overlooking the ancient Silk Road. In the lobby, three colossal murals depict themes of the Silk Road: its people, treasures, and architecture. These murals, soaring three stories high, transport guests through ancient history, creating a truly awe-inspiring experience. The hotel's Chinese restaurant is grand, designed in the style of a traditional three-courtyard mansion. Every brick and tile, every intricate eave, exudes a Han and Tang dynasty grandeur. Yet, the wooden beaded curtains at the entrance, the exotic carpets, and various decorative details remind you that this is the empire's frontier, a vital gateway to the Western Regions. As dusk falls, red lanterns beneath the eaves and landscape lights on the lawn illuminate the castle-like rammed earth walls, casting a warm, reddish glow. The distant blue sky and tranquil desert beautifully complement each other, forming a serene and picturesque scene where beauty can be found at almost every turn. The guest rooms are equally distinctive, seemingly a fusion of Central Plain and Western Regions cultures. Most of the furniture is Chinese in style: the grand chairs, round tables and stools, stacked cabinets, and the bird-and-flower paintings on the walls all evoke an antique charm. Upon closer inspection, almost all tabletops are covered with brightly colored, exotic-style tablecloths, and large areas of the floor are laid with thick, soft, and comfortable Bohemian carpets. The lighting fixtures also often have a Western Regions flair, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere, as if you've entered a nomad's home. It's worth noting that the bedside and floor lamps are adorned with frescoes of the flying apsaras from the Mogao Grottoes, a testament to the cultural richness embedded in every detail. Each room also provides a collection of books for guests to read, including the 'Dunhuang City Chronicles,' stories of the Mogao Grottoes frescoes, and the handwritten notes of the late founder, Mr. Wang Mangang. These notes recount his challenging experience of investing in and building the hotel in Dunhuang during the early days of reform and opening up in 1993, inspiring a deeper understanding and respect for this hotel. In my opinion, Dunhuang Hotel is not just a place to stay; it's a heartfelt interpretation and preservation of Dunhuang and the Silk Road culture. It left us with warm and unforgettable memories. Five-star rating!"

The Tianzhu International Hotel is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. The Tianzhu International Hotel offers a pleasant stay in Xiahe for those traveling for business or leisure. The nearby area boasts an abundance of attractions including Labrang Monastery, Labrang Sky Burial Platform and Dewacang Wenshu Buddha Temple. At the end of a busy day, travelers can unwind and relax in the hotel or go out and enjoy the city. This Xiahe hotel features parking on site. If cleanliness is important to you, this hotel makes an excellent choice, as our guests consider this to be one of the cleanest hotels in the city. For guests traveling with families, this hotel is consistently one of the most popular choices.

"Probably the largest hotel in Xiahe. It's a short walk to Labrang Monastery. There's no air conditioning, which might be because it doesn't get hot here in the summer. They said they had floor heating, but it wasn't turn-on yet when we checked in, and it got a bit chilly after the rain. The hotel has a restaurant, and you can order dinner, though I found it a bit pricey – I guess that's common for tourist spots. Breakfast was decent, and the cleanliness was acceptable. Overall, I didn't feel like there were any major downsides."

"I've lost count of how many times I've stayed at this hotel. I just stumbled upon these beautiful photos from a previous stay in my album today and couldn't resist sharing them. Every time I walk in, I'm drawn to the authentic, down-to-earth vibe. The front desk staff are always so welcoming, eagerly greeting us and helping with our luggage. The rooms are spotless and incredibly comfortable. But the absolute best part is the snow outside the window. Waking up and drawing the curtains to a pristine white landscape, with snowflakes gently drifting down – it instantly puts me in a fantastic mood. I also have to rave about the hotel's pour-over coffee. The freshly ground beans are so aromatic, and the coffee itself is rich and smooth, not bitter at all. A warm cup in the morning, enjoyed while gazing at the snowy scenery, is pure bliss. The service is also exceptionally thoughtful; any request is met quickly and efficiently. Next time I'm in Jiayuguan, I will definitely choose this hotel again. I genuinely recommend it to everyone!"

Hotel near Olympic Sports Center/Lanzhou Old Street,Lanzhou
The hotel is located in the center of Lanzhou city and is a high-end hotel in the old Lanzhou street scenic area. The hotel is well-located and has convenient transportation. It is located in the financial and trade center of Lanzhou City, the new city center Qilihe Ma Tan area, and is adjacent to the city's central avenue Xijin West Road. It is within walking distance of the Metro Line 1 Ma Tan Station. Lanzhou Old Street Puyan Hotel is a high-end hotel brand under the Luxury Collection Group. "Puyan" comes from China and is committed to creating the aesthetic concept of "one city, one painting, making beauty within reach." The two core advantages of the hotel are the deep cultural value presentation and the high-quality space value experience. The hotel is about 10 minutes' drive from Lanzhou West Railway Station and about 50 minutes' drive from Lanzhou Zhongchuan Airport. There are famous scenic spots such as the Yellow River Tower, the Gansu Provincial Museum, the Gansu Provincial Science and Technology Museum, and the Gansu Provincial Archives Museum in the vicinity. Puyan rooms are high-end and luxurious, with dining and banquet services in one, and the hotel provides free parking and free bus parking. It is an excellent choice for guests and business trips.

"The warmth and sincerity of the people from the great Northwest are always so strong. The hotel is located in the old street pedestrian zone of the main urban area, which is very bustling yet quiet. Dining, shopping, and leisure are all conveniently available right outside. The hotel is clean and hygienic; I personally saw the cleaning staff move the bed to clean thoroughly, not missing any corners. That alone deserves a huge thumbs up! The hotel also offers free lucky draws, and I was fortunate enough to win a souvenir. We stayed for 3 days with our child, and I highly recommend the local street food right outside (Shan Cheng Hand-Shredded Meat, Cang Ying Beef Noodles)."

Hotel near Tianshui Railway Station,Tianshui
"I rarely write reviews myself. I have lived in a lot of houses in Huazhuhui, but this one really has to be written well. It is indeed better than I thought. In hotels like Tianshui, there are really not many, because I have to celebrate my birthday, so I have to find a better hotel to take photos. Give me a birthday party, this hotel is newly opened, it is recommended to me by friends, because their wedding banquet is placed in this hotel, with the mentality of giving it a try, I booked their room, but I didn’t expect it, wow, it’s really nice, the room is clean, the overall service is in place, Parking is also very convenient. They opened on June 20, 2026. First of all, the lobby environment is very atmospheric. As soon as I entered the front hall, I received the young man to help me get things. The front desk service was also very good, because we were going to have a birthday. Miss Rui Rui from the housekeeping department also gave us a fruit delivery. The room, thank you very much, parking is also very convenient, the location is opposite the antique street, if you come to Tianshui to travel, you can eat Tianshui's delicious breakfast in a minute. This location is also very convenient to go to Maiji Mountain. The most important thing is that the room can also see the river view. If you are traveling or celebrating a birthday, this is really a good choice. It is a light luxury level under the Huazhu Club. The price on Trip.com is also very suitable. The only downside is that the room door is too sensitive. It is really too safe. They also have a parent-child room. Although we did not live, the layout of the parent-child room is also very warm, very suitable for a family of three to travel~"

"Zhangye was great fun!! Amenities: The facilities are complete! They have everything! The TV can cast to other devices. Cleanliness: It was clean! Environment: The environment was nice, and the curtains were blackout. The only minor drawback was that it wasn't very soundproof. On the night I stayed, other guests checked into the room next door, and they were talking loudly late into the night. I could hear their conversation from my room. Wearing earplugs would solve it. Of course! Here is an extremely positive hotel review crafted from your experience. --- Title: An Unforgettable Oasis of Hospitality - A Solo Traveler's Dream! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I cannot recommend this exquisite home stay highly enough! My five-day visit was nothing short of perfection, from the moment I arrived until my warm departure. As a female solo traveler from abroad, safety and welcome are my top priorities, and this family went above and beyond to make me feel like part of their home. My journey began with a incredibly gracious complimentary pick-up from Dunhuang airport, which immediately eased any travel fatigue. The hospitality only blossomed from there. The host family provided me with such genuine individual attention, offering personalized advice for visiting the breathtaking Crescent Moon Lake and the awe-inspiring Mogao Grottoes. Their tips were invaluable and helped me experience these wonders to the fullest. Now, the food! Each meal was a delight—authentic, home-cooked, and prepared fresh with so much care. It was truly delicious and gave me a real taste of local cuisine. My room was a haven of comfort and cleanliness, kept absolutely spotless throughout my stay. A wonderful daily touch was the replenishment of complimentary beverages: refreshing peach tea, pure water, and delicious coconut water—perfect after a day of exploring the desert. The most touching moment came upon my departure when the hosts presented me with exquisite souvenirs from the Mogao Grottoes. It was a gesture of such kindness and generosity that I will forever cherish. This home stay is a gem, perfectly suited for solo travelers seeking a safe and welcoming environment, couples looking for a unique retreat, or families wanting an authentic experience. I am already counting down the days until I can return next summer. A heartfelt thank you to the most wonderful hosts!

Out of our 9-day trip along the Qinghai-Gansu Loop, this homestay was our family's absolute favorite. It's a place with real heart and soul, where every detail is thoughtfully considered. Even our five-year-old said he'd give this hotel 30 stars! The homestay has a great design aesthetic, and the rooms are spotless, perfectly matching the tastes and ideas of younger travelers. We always bring our own disposable toiletries when we travel, but here, everything was already provided in the room. I also really loved the landlady – she's just one of those people you instantly like, and it was so comfortable interacting with her. From the moment we checked into the homestay in Dunhuang, we had such a positive impression of the city. Even though our stay was brief, it's full of beautiful memories. When we were leaving, she found out my child liked apricots and even gave him some from her own yard, which was incredibly touching. The breakfast offered a wide variety, and it was all very enjoyable. I truly recommend this homestay if you're coming to Dunhuang. I hope everyone gets to experience the genuine warmth and hospitality during their travels here. Their raisins are also highly recommended!

There were a lot of people in the hotel lobby on the night of check-in. The front desk said that they had received a study tour group of 500 people, which delayed the check-in time. To express their apology, the front desk gave me some souvenirs and promised to take me to the night market in the evening. They were really sincere and I could see that the service awareness came from the heart and was not forced through training.

I had a very pleasant stay in this friendly family-run hotel. Decorated in the colourful local ******* style, the place has all necessary amenities including a restaurant and a bar, to make it a comfortable all-in-one stay. Located on the doorstep of the key attraction - Labrang monastery - and right in the heart of the old town, by the little picturesque creek, it is an ideal base for exploring the surroundings. The staff are super helpful and would be eager to make all necessary arrangements for you such as local drivers, etc. The hotel owner is a local ******* man, and if you are lucky and he is around (they have another property in the nearby Sangke Grassland) ,he would be generous with his time passionately sharing his extensive knowledge of the region and China in general. Feel free to ask for some suggestions and routes, as the owner and his Dutch wife also used to run a travel agency). And a small tip (based on my experience): give it an extra day or two for your body to adapt to the high altitude, to fully enjoy this special place!
