"Apart from the renovation which we were told beforehand, the room we had was dark (probably because it was a windowless room), humid, aircon wasn’t strong but they provided a fan. Could smell urine even with the toilet seat covered, toilet door was closed, to a point that i was awaken by the foul smell. Had to spray perfume to have it barely covered. Ventilation was super bad. Cons aside, service was good, fridge in room had free drinks. Would recommend to book a window room if you had to even though friend that stayed in the window room said it was bad too. There’s a mall few minutes walk away which was a plus. Good view on the reception floor too."

"We stayed in the family room for four nights and had a very pleasant experience. Although the entrance is tucked away in a small alley, the location is extremely convenient — just a two‑minute walk to Wangfujing Street, with its many shopping malls and excellent restaurants. The hotel is also right next to the Wangfujing Bookstore, which adds to the charm of the area. The room was comfortable and well maintained. The cleaning staff on our floor (6th floor) were very helpful and responsible, which made our stay even smoother. We did not book breakfast, but it was easy to find good options nearby. The hotel also provides tours to the Great Wall, though we did not join as we have visited several times before. Altogether, this is a place that combines convenience, comfort, and attentive service. We would be happy to stay here again on a future visit to Beijing."

"We stayed for four nights at Manxin Hotel Qianmen Street in Beijing, and from the front desk staff to housekeeping, the thoughtful and meticulous service was evident everywhere. On the day of check-in, the front desk called us in advance to confirm our arrival, and the smart voice-controlled room was very convenient. Every time we entered or exited during our stay, the warm greetings from each staff member made us feel very welcome. The hotel's location is also very convenient; most major attractions are accessible by subway, and it's especially easy to get to the Great Wall, as the pick-up point is within walking distance. There are many old, famous restaurants near the hotel, and we tried them all this trip. The best service was definitely the 'Siji Minfu' queue-number retrieval service. After a tiring day of sightseeing, we could rest at the hotel and then head to the restaurant when it was almost our turn – it was incredibly convenient! If we visit Beijing again, we would definitely consider Manxin Hotel!"

"My stay this time was quite satisfactory. The lovely front desk staff were very efficient with both check-in and check-out, and their attitude was gentle and friendly. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was soft, and they had my preferred low pillows. The soundproofing was excellent, so it was quiet at night. The hot water supply was stable and strong. The location is convenient, not far from the subway station. The value for money is decent. I'll choose this place again next time I visit and will also recommend it to my friends and colleagues."

"Traveling from Xinjiang to Beijing with my kids, I wanted them to experience the charm of Beijing's old streets and hutongs. After comparing a few places, I chose this one. The environment is incredibly elegant; winding alleys lead to a hidden pavilion, and the lotus flowers, fish, and pavilion in the courtyard feel like a picturesque paradise, instantly washing away travel fatigue. In the evenings, the children sat by the pond, enjoying snacks and playing – an experience you simply can't get in a steel-and-glass hotel. The room decor is spacious and refined, and the mattress and pillows, in particular, are extremely comfortable. What's more, every staff member here is incredibly attentive and thoughtful; the service is super. We stayed for three nights and were very satisfied! 👍"

"The hotel is conveniently located a 5-6 minute walk from Sanyuanqiao subway station, away from the noise of main roads. The signage, dining, and decor meet international guest standards. The rooms are compact but fully functional. Alcohol wipes are provided to sanitize the toilet seat. The shower stall is space-efficient, with a dry-wet curtain that separates the areas while also ensuring privacy. Lighting controls are user-friendly, though the actual room temperature was slightly higher than what the AC display showed. The minibar offered a good selection of soft drinks, but I couldn't find the usual instant coffee and tea bags, perhaps encouraging guests to visit the unique lobby bar on the first floor. The scent in both the room and public areas was pleasant, and soft background music played during breakfast. This hotel offers excellent value for money and was perfect for my solo business trip. While there are billiards and game machines in the lobby, I didn't have time to enjoy them. If the price remains affordable, this will be my top choice for business trips to Beijing. It's incredibly convenient for both the Airport Express and subway, and the surrounding area is upscale and peaceful."

This hotel is really good. First of all, it’s new. Right when you walk in you can tell they put real effort into not looking like a cookie-cutter modern hotel. The design feels distinctly Chinese and you can see they cared about it. The area around the hotel is excellent. Trees along the street, lots of cafés and restaurants nearby. The location is super convenient and nice. When you walk in, the smell is so nice. It smells like jasmine. It doesn’t smell like a bathroom. It’s quite cozy. It’s not a grand, big, five-star luxurious hotel. But honestly the service is better than the five-star hotels I stayed at on this Beijing trip (Hilton, Hyatt, and others). This one is rated four-star on Trip.com and I think it has better service than all of them. The staff are nicer. They’re attentive. They take initiative. They feel warm. Even the manager speaks good English. You can really see they care and pay attention to detail (we had a great experience with Molly's help). They want everybody to have a good experience. They gave us a discount on the room too. There’s a lot of good quality fruit and cake. They especially provide traditional Chinese cake and a variety of treats. On the first night they gave traditional Chinese sweets and traditional drinks, plus fresh fruit like watermelon. The watermelon was very juicy and sweet, not bland. You also have the option of a very nice cake or popcorn. I chose the cake, but the popcorn is probably just as delicious. On the second day they gave us traditional sweets again, like the first night. They call it afternoon tea. The sweets were completely different from the first night. I really appreciate how they gave us a variety of traditional Chinese sweets. It just goes to show how much effort they put into the details and into giving guests a good experience. We wanted to extend our stay but the original room wasn’t available. They made sure to give us multiple options. When we chose a room, the front desk staff personally took us to tour it. We talked about pricing and she even gave us a discount, about $30 less than the price on Trip.com. That was really nice. Overall, really good experience. We’re still here on our second day and super happy. If you come here, this is a great hotel to stay at.

Upon checking in, Miss Zoe at the front desk was incredibly enthusiastic. When I asked about upgrading my room type, she immediately and proactively helped me check and change it, quickly finding me a room with a better view. She was patient and polite throughout our conversation, very efficient, and took the initiative to explain the hotel facilities. Her attention to detail showed thoughtful service, and she was serious and responsible in addressing guest needs. She's an excellent front desk staff member! 👍

Two years later, I'm back at the Cordis Beijing Capital Airport. It wasn't until I saw the airplane model in the lobby that it clicked: Donghai Airlines, The Langham Shenzhen, and Cordis Donghai are all under the same ownership. No wonder they share the same prefix! Of course, as a guest, the owner might not be the most important thing; it's the management company and their level of professionalism that truly matters. The Cordis brand ensures that the management and service here will never disappoint. It's the same friendly atmosphere, warm service, and exquisite food. I was particularly impressed by the staff I encountered in departments like the Front Office, Concierge, Ming Court, and The Place all-day dining restaurant. A special thank you to Front Office Manager Serena, Front Desk Manager Jessie, Duty Manager Lock, Assistant Director of F&B Tom, Ming Court Manager Terry, and The Place Restaurant Manager Anson, among others. Their dedication and guest-first approach truly made me feel the warmth and professionalism of Cordis. Cordis Donghai is definitely worth another visit!

The resort environment was very comfortable, and the kids absolutely loved participating in all the activities, having a great time. The atmosphere at night was quite lively too. Vera provided excellent service, and overall, I was very satisfied – a full five-star recommendation! What I loved most was that all the activities were included. Whether for adults or kids, indoors or outdoors, there were rackets provided by the hotel for basketball, table tennis, billiards, football, archery, and golf. The water park was quite large; the depth was perfect for children to swim, though a bit shallow for adults. Plus, all the craft activities, performances, flying trapeze, and aerobics were really fun! Dinner was the most abundant meal, with various international cuisines. The sashimi, BBQ, and salads were all delicious. The dessert bar was the most amazing part – truly five-star standard! My daughter even said the roasted lamb chops were incredibly tasty. 😋 We stayed in the Shaun the Sheep room, which was decorated so cutely. My child said she wants to come back again next time! The most comfortable aspect, actually, was the beautiful environment of the Songshan scenic area. It's a natural oxygen bar, bringing you close to nature; you can see and smell the natural aroma. There were also about a dozen adorable little cats! 😍 We plan to try out Club Meds in other cities and countries next time!

This hotel is absolutely fantastic! I was a little worried after reading some reviews, but there was no need – you really have to experience it for yourself. When we arrived around noon, a staff member immediately came to help with our luggage as soon as we got out of the car. Inside, there was a lovely, subtle fragrance. During check-in, the front desk lady proactively upgraded our room type. We left our bags and went out for lunch. When we returned around 2 PM, we headed straight to our room to relax. I prefer firm pillows, and housekeeping brought one up right away. The room was very clean and even came with kids' slippers and toothbrushes, which was a great touch. Best of all, my room had a view of the Forbidden City's rooftops! 😅 The area around the hotel is also super convenient for food, drinks, and entertainment. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Beijing! 👍

The hotel's location is excellent, right next to Wangfujing Pedestrian Street, surrounded by luxury shops, making it very convenient to get around. The Mandarin Oriental's attention to detail is superb. The understated luxury and 'old money' vibe are precisely my style. The vanity room is spacious, and they prepared welcome fruits and snacks, a bottle of red wine, and even pear soup, along with a beautifully written welcome letter. It truly made me feel right at home. Breakfast is a mix of buffet and à la carte, with fresh, organic ingredients and amazing flavors. I even had breakfast alongside the Russian ambassador at the next table! Sipping a coffee with a Forbidden City latte art design on the large terrace overlooking the Forbidden City, I truly experienced a taste of royal life. So happy! 😃

Amazing! We spent five nights staying in a deluxe king room with terrace/balcony at The Purple Horse Hotel in Beijing at the end of June 2026.. The location is excellent. The hotel is situated in the heart of a Hutong which offers a calm quiet and serene experience in the middle of a bustling city, only a short walk to restaurants and shops. The Hutong itself is a great experience, it's safe and friendly and we enjoyed chatting to the locals at the corner shop. The hotel is absolutely wonderful. It's less than two years old and It is finished to a really high standard, the attention to detail is incredible. It felt luxurious with the highest quality furnishings and the bathroom and shower were like something you would find in a spa. Our room had great views over the Hutong and the Beijing skyline and had excellent air conditioning. We had a buffet breakfast and a buffet dinner included and it was delicious and served in a beautiful restaurant on the top floor. Above that there was an amazing rooftop terrace with an outdoor swimming pool, a cocktail bar and 360⁰ views of the city. There is also a Peking duck restaurant on the ground floor, a gym and a self service complimentary laundry room. The best thing about this hotel is the staff. The level of service and the attentiveness of the staff is at a level that we have never experienced before. The staff are super friendly and polite and they are always trying to help. Our room was cleaned to an immaculate level every day and we were often left little gifts and kind notes. The service in the restaurant was great and once again always really kind and friendly, special mention to Nieve for looking after us so well. Anything we needed, any questions we had, the staff really went out of their way to help us and did so with big smiles on their faces and we had fun times in our interactions with them. Everyone had a good level of English, especially the front for house staff and management . If you want a comfortable, clean, modern hotel with great facilities, in a great, safe location and would like staff that will advise and help you and direct you and even organise trips and transport for you, then this is the hotel for you. We would like to thank some of the staff that really went out of their way to help us. Ella and Anduo who organised a print shop for us and helped us find some specific gift shops. Nieve for making us smile everyday in the restaurant. The housekeeping team for making our room so clean, comfortable and amazing every day. Terry the manager for being a really nice guy, for taking the time to talk to us and ask us if we needed anything everyday. And Kevin for making us some really nice tea and helping us with everything when we were checking out. We have stayed in hotels all over the world but this one will always stand out for being that little bit different, for being so immaculate and for going the extra mile. Thank you very much and we look forward to seeing you next time. John and Elizabeth.
