Hotel Puerta del Sur

The hotel Puerta del Sur is in a paradise-like location, surrounded by tall trees and an nature-rich wetland. The view from the hotel rooms, lobby and breakfast room is amazing. Very clean, comfortable and friendly staff. Best Hotel I have ever stayed at in my 20 years business traveling.

11 julio 2023

You will ask why this title??? .... and it's because the hotel maintains the decoration, structure and style of the 80's .... but in excellent condition! what I really love! ... very clean and comfortable all the hotel, very good location near the center and a fabulous breakfast ..... It can also be highlighted the good properness of your employees that in my case I arrived before check-in and allowed me to leave the car in the garage to be able to move quietly through the city of Valdivia

Great place to stay! Great location and amenities! The room I stayed was nice and clean. Restaurant on the top floor has great selection for the breakfast buffet and amazing view. The only one thing I would not recommend is their pool - the water was not very clean.
Hotel Termas Puyehue Wellness & Spa Resort

Superior Room worth it for the space, seating and balcony. Do realize they discontinue the à la carte dinner menu during high season (so all three meals are buffet) which their site says nothing about. The partially fed by natural thermal waters modern pools of varying temperatures are divine. Buffets for a large amount of people can be hit or miss and in our opinion were mostly hits with adequate variety for most. The gigantic beautiful gardens around the hotel lead to self-guided trails into the forest of varying difficulty and lengths. The second floor game room and the third floor bowling alley with probably one of the best views in the world should keep guests occupied when not soaking in a pool, receiving spa service, hiking a trail, relaxing on the balcony taking in the view and sounds of various birds, hanging out in the old style resort lounge areas or enjoying a local wine, beer, exotic cocktail made from local ingredients. Overall service during our stay was 8-9 out of 10. Did not do any of the spa services which cost extra but did buy some of their products for gifts. We would return in a heartbeat if not for the cost. A recommended experience that I wish all individuals with good hearts could indulge in at least once in their lifetime.

We travelled from the US and UK (grand kids and parents) to this out of way, but beautiful place. The resort is very accommodating and a relaxed atmosphere. Instead of renting a car for 7 people we opted for the resort provided round trip from the Vadivia Airport taking 2.5 hours each way. Not cheap but without stress. Upon arrival a smooth checkin with accommodation set up at the lodge. We opted for the meal plan (two selected meals from BF, Lunch or Dinner) which makes the vacation more relaxed. No cooking or trying to find a restaurants. BF is buffet style while Dinner choice is meat, fish or vegetarian selection. Wine in Chile is inexpensive and never exceeded US$ 30 for the most expensive bottle available. The selection of 'activities' such as water rafting, zip line or just hiking is made easy with a tour desk right at the hotel. All the guides could converse in English. There were many trail for hiking available from short 1 hour to 6 hour treks after which you could cool off in the river or in the hotel pool. All in all we would not mind to go back. Too bad it takes about 48 hours to get there from NY to Santiago Chile and then onward to Valdivia.

I booked the same day in the morning, at Hotel Villa del Rio, which I did not come many years ago, but which I kept grateful memories. The hotel was very comfortable and comfortable and was very comfortable and comfortable. , as I had warned when booking, but everything started wrong at the reception. The manager, who rather looked like a infantry sergeant giving orders, invaded me prepotently and authoritarianly because he had already told me once (1) that I should send you the mobility pass to the hotel post and not to whatsapp. I made you see that there was no reason to treat me badly for that and your answer was that if I put you so much trouble, then I wouldn't host me. I will not continue to report the other details of the unpleasant episode, but I had to submit to the prepotence and poor education of Dona Fernanda (unnamed, because she didn't want to give it) because it was late to go to see another alternative; at another time, I had to submit to the prepotence and poor education of Dona Fernanda (unnamed, because she didn't want to give it) because it was too late to go to see another alternative. The hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable. I had to search for a car for my own and take everything for my own means; 2. ) There was no dining room, no bar, nor anything open at 21.30 hrs. and at the door of the hotel there was a big letter that prohibited delivery; 3. ) The refrigerator was empty, there were only two glasses inside it. The room was very good, but it was only the first of many. In the room there was another one who ordered to go to shoot “any waste” to a container in the hall at 30 m from the room. (...) The letterman also prohibited to use towels for demaquill**** or clean the shoes. I suggest better filter your audience or in your defect buy more towels. But of all, the most I liked was the one that was hanging behind the bathroom door and about which the receptionist didn't tell me: check out at 10.30 hs. (...) I suggest to replace the concept of “Check Out” by “Expulsion”, which would be more tone with the intention. But the glass shelter that filled the bathing garden times was insufficient to cover the front of the shower, so that the water was out and wet half of the rest of the bath, flowing to the bedroom coffin. I used a shower-out floor to dry, cats, which I had to screw several times. I hope my work has resulted from the taste of the administration. The next day I went to the breakfast that was served in a large room that was more than a dining room, It looked like a dance hall

I found on Ctrip that the hotel was in the mountains from Puyehue to the Argentinian border. I was a little worried on the way there because I was afraid that the conditions would be poor, so I didn’t place an order immediately. When we arrived, we found that the hotel was in a wild luxury style. The front desk took us around the hotel. It has a beautiful large dome wooden restaurant, an indoor swimming pool, and an outdoor hot spring swimming pool. There are two types of rooms: cabins and tents. The tent is by the river, equipped with a wooden bathroom and an outdoor hot spring barrel. The river water is hot, and the mist is shrouded in the evening, which is very magical. The tent is heated and not cold at all. There is a coffee machine that can boil hot water. The bed was big enough and I slept well. The next morning I went to the hot springs for breakfast, which was very rich. It started at 8:30 on time, not even a minute earlier.
