The only reason cleanliness is rated a 3 is because our room had a smell to it (not bad, it could just be the cleaning products), other than that it was clean. It’s located on the outskirts of winnipeg which is lovely for driving out of town. The service was awesome, everyone from workers to people staying was friendly, it is a very welcome and warm environment. We ended up with a top floor room and was able to move onto the ‘motel’ style rooms, which was very appreciated. The breakfast that comes with the hotel really exceeded our expectations, REAL eggs, the crispiest best hash browns, and the toast was bacon was good too. They had an interesting cinnamon bun french toast that i’d definitely try next time. They have a pantry/ little convenience store in the lobby, and I’d say the prices are reasonable, definitely would expect them to be more. On the downside the beds are on the stiffer side, but the pillows are of good quality. this wouldn’t be my first choice to come back to in winnipeg but for the price and good meal included, it’s top #5.

Didn’t want to pay the high prices downtown so opted for this hotel with relatively easy access to downtown. This is an older place that has been kept up fairly. The rooms all have a hallway out front of the room which then looks at the pool, hallway or outside. Parking is included in the room price and there is a large lot. Two story hotel with stairs, not sure if there is an elevator. The pool looked nice and there was a family enjoying it when I looked. We had a double queen room, two queens, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, fridge (noisy as sits on the counter, not on the floor), efficient bathroom with necessary amenities including hair dryer. Enough hangers, ironing board, complimentary wifi, TV, cable, table, 3 chairs, clock and decent lighting. Beds were soft, 3 large pillows each bed. Continental breakfast included, boiled eggs, yogurt, bagels, bread (toast), cream cheese, jams, cereal, coffee, waffles and juices, nicely laid out basic but filling. Great location, beer store next door, Freshco and Sals also nearby. Across the street is Superstore and more shopping a short drive away. No real problems but for some reason housekeeping came into the room when my wife was sleeping and there was a “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door, they obviously missed it. Stayed a second time in July, upper level room, 203 which faces Fermor so a bit of road noise but not a problem. The bar smokers that congregate outside made more noisy than the traffic. The roof was being redone so when we arrived the room had a bit of a tar smell but diminished over time. The next morning, they were working around 7 so there was roof noise. The hotel warned us but we stayed and overall not a problem, they didn’t work on Sat and Sun. The work has to be done sometime. Large room, 2 queens, fridge, microwave, Keurig, bathroom w. tub/shower and the usual stuff. My wife thought the room needed a little work, some water stains on the ceiling (probably why they were working on the roof) and the sitting chairs could have used a cleaning. We had Room 203 with a view of the front parking lot and Fermor. Still have complimentary breakfast as listed above. Overall a good value hotel for a short stay, we’ll stay again sometime.

Generally, this a very nice hotel and the price is amazing given its central location. The staff are excellent, helpful and friendly. We also enjoyed the modern feel of our room. We were well stocked with clean towels, and bedding was comfy and clean. As cons, you could tell looking at the nooks and crannies along the walls that a more thorough cleaning is needed soon. Housekeeping was also unavailable for two days of our stay due to staff shortages. While this didn't really affect us, and I do appreciate there are industry wide issues, it's something to keep in mind if you require daily cleaning. Truthfully, our biggest issue was the noise and disturbances outside that we heard at night. Again, this isn't the hotel's fault by any means but potential visitors should be aware. Although we only stayed 3 nights, I got woken up frequently by ambulances, police car sirens, racing cars, and once even by a 4am altercation outside on Portage. We were all the way up on the 14th floor. Ear plugs helped but it didn't dull out everything. So, if you're noise sensitive, maybe ask for a room facing Ellice or Hargrave? Parking at the nearby secured Indigo parkade is also $20/day so don't forget to factor that into your budgeting.

It was such a seamless experience for a short-term feeling home like stay. Val is such a gentle lady and really care for you as a special family member. You can find a home-made small piece of chocolate on your bed, enjoy the warmth of a cozy outdoor hot tub. See the photo. Feel like home is what they are trying hard every day to make you that footprint in every details that you will see in this rental property. I named it a value-for-every-penny experience that was hardly to hard from anywhere in the world, but a place to feel like home managed by 2 generous & warm-hearted women. I don’t want to write too much because probably I could not book them next time. LOL

Chose this because my usual Delta was fully booked. Location is close to airport and downtown (although I was warned by locals that it is not safe to take a walk around). Hotel itself is classic Residence Inn. Spacious rooms with all amenities. Reception staff provided welcome chocolates and water bottles every time I asked. Some of the places needed more cleanliness & upkeep as the place was rundown except the lobby area. Overall, a decent two night stay.
Radisson Hotel Winnipeg Downtown

We fled here after being evacuated from the Marlborough due to an ”emergency fumigation operation.” It's just down the street, which means same great location! Also, while one night here cost almost as much as three nights at the Marl (lol), after our experience there the professionalism was worth it. Remote / TV weren't working, but a call downstairs sent a friendly guy up who was quick to fix it. Highly recommended if you need a place downtown in the Peg.

Room facilities are a bit old, but health is OK. The bed is particularly soft, and it will feel very tired after a night of sleep. This pure personal feeling, a small partner who likes a soft bed is a good choice! I have no breakfast in the room, which determines that the price/performance ratio is still a little low. The most important thing is that there is no free parking lot. I didn’t expect this parking time. The parking fee is 15 knives/day. Others are okay, friends who have no car live here is good, after all, it is downtown, it is quite convenient.
Holiday Inn Winnipeg - Airport West

Enjoy a peaceful and relaxing stay-cation at the Holiday Inn - Airport West! Welcoming and friendly service, spacious and spotless room, silky sheets on the king bed, and excellent amenities in the room. Despite the pandemic, we were able to use the pool - an efficient and fair sign-up process gave us 1 hour/day (could have been more). The continental breakfast was not included, but the location is excellent and we could easily walk across the street for sushi & bubble tea, pizza, steak, and more! Also a Shoppers Drug Mart and Liquor Mart right across the street. And, if you want some exercise, this hotel is a close jaunt to the beautiful Assiniboine Park & Zoo!

I booked a room at this location to have a night’s rest while driving across Canada. This hotel is conveniently located near the highway and food establishments. After a long day of driving we arrived at this hotel for the night. I found the bed had been made up; however clearly not changed. There were many hairs on the sheets and the bedspread. The gentleman working at the front desk came down to see it and immediately brought fresh linens. Changing the bed was the last thing I felt like doing after a day of driving. When I travel, I always bring cleaning wipes and do my own surface clean, especially since COVID. I was mortified to see how dirty the wipes were after wiping off the desk and counter. It was bad enough that I brought the wipes to the front desk to show the gentleman working. If it wasn’t for the apologies and pleasant demeanour of the gentleman working at the front desk I would have packed up and left. Unfortunately, someone not doing their job can reflect negatively on the whole establishment. I would highly recommend management doing regular checks. I do have to say once settled the bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. There is an odour of stale cigarette smoke, likely from people smoking outside the patio doors. All of the front staff were very pleasant. This was the first Choice Hotel that I was actually acknowledged as a Diamond member. I can’t speak about breakfast options as I was gone early. Would I stay again, no. The manager did reverse my charges for the inconvenience.

Stayed two nights mid-week in August on a ”Gold” level floor. The room -- two double beds -- was very small. The beds were comfortable and the furnishings nice but dated. The room was clean and TV and wifi worked fine. Housekeeping on the first morning did a very thoughtful job making up the room and anticipating our needs based on uses day before. BUT the keycards are unpredictable and the elevators wobble and shake. We stayed on a ”gold” level floor, which are supposedly their nicest rooms, with access to a lounge. Service was good but very inconvenient traveling between the 18th and 19th floors on elevator. Self park is inconvenient (valet is available). Overall, I wouldn't chose this hotel again.
