"The hotel facilities are actually pretty decent, but the attitude of the Chinese female front desk receptionist was genuinely appalling. She kept contradicting herself and maliciously making groundless assumptions about me and my companion. We arrived at the hotel early in the morning. Since it wasn't check-in time yet, we left our luggage in storage and paid the deposit. When we came back in the evening to check in, the same Chinese female receptionist insisted that we swipe our cards again to pay the deposit. After paying, I pointed out that I had already used my credit card in the morning, and that's when she started making malicious accusations against us. First, she claimed that what we paid in the morning was the resort fee for yesterday collected upon check-out, rather than today's deposit. I replied that was impossible because we hadn't even stayed here yesterday. Then, with a condescending attitude, she questioned: ”If you didn't check out this morning, why was your luggage here with us?” I told the truth: ”Because we arrived pretty early today and couldn't check in yet, so we just stored our luggage here first.” She still didn't believe us 🤨. Me: ”You can look at my flight ticket; I literally just arrived in Vancouver this morning. Or you can just check the surveillance footage—I did arrive rolling my luggage this morning, and I paid with my credit card.” She started talking nonsense: ”Right, well, what you paid this morning must have been today's room rate, so now you need to pay the deposit and resort fees.” Me, shocked: ”You need to be clear about this. Paying for the room a second time is a completely different story from a deposit. We booked this through Trip.com a long time ago, and the room was paid for ages ago.” She changed her story again: ”Oh right, my system here shows your room rate has been paid, but there is no record of your payment from this morning. Are you sure you actually paid? Could you be misremembering?” Me: ”Of course I'm sure. Because of a minor language barrier, another female receptionist at the morning shift communicated with us for quite a while. We even asked her a series of questions about payment methods and refund timeframes. In the end, she said Apple Pay wasn't accepted and we had to use a physical credit card. Since my friend (whose name is on the reservation) didn't have her card with her, I was the one who took out my credit card and paid. I remember these details so clearly, there's no way my memory is confused.” The Chinese female receptionist just looked at me coldly, refusing to believe a single word I said. Me: ”If worst comes to worst, just check the surveillance cameras. Checking them will clear everything up instantly.” *(Skipping 10 minutes of pointless arguing here.)* Female receptionist: ”We don't have the authority to do that. Anyway, my system shows you didn't pay before. There's nothing I can do to help you; I suggest you contact your bank and get back to us if there's an issue.” Since we were utterly exhausted (it was our first day, and we hadn't slept for about 24 hours), I asked her for the hotel's email address and phone number and went off to rest first."

"We stayed in the family room this time. The room was clean, spacious, and well-lit. There's also a swimming pool, and the breakfast was good. Plenty of parking available too. We'd definitely choose to stay here again next time."

"This hotel is in a great location making it easy to explore Beacon Hill, the inner harbour, Government Street and all the other sights of Victoria. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable and the bedrooms were clean and comfortable. Leisure facilities were also of a high standard. "

"This hotel is right ar the Airport terminal so perfect for transfers and overnight stays. There's a train connection to downtown if need be. Room seems dated but is comfortable and has all the amenities expected of a Fairmont hotel. The odd airplane taking off can be heard but is not loud."

"It’s actually located underneath a residential area, but the atmosphere is amazing. The space is very large, almost like a suite, with a large TV, sofa, desk, and chair. Everything can be conveniently controlled through an electric control panel. They also provide complimentary water, which is a nice touch. The restaurant on the first floor is great, too—the food tastes delicious!"

"My experience this time wasn't very satisfactory. Firstly, when I booked, I saw that the amenities included a laundry room, but there wasn't one after check-in. Secondly, there was road construction downstairs which severely affected my rest. They were still working outside at 11 PM, and started again around 6 AM, with a lot of noise. The service was good, and the hotel's location is excellent, just a 5-6 minute walk to the city center. Everything else was quite nice, it's just the road construction downstairs that impacted my stay."

"It's very peaceful and the hot springs are very comfortable. Looking at the snowy mountain tops in the distance, it feels like a fairy tale. The nearby scenery is also worth exploring. I encountered a small grizzly bear and a deer, and I want to go there again."

Exit B leads directly to a pedestrian shopping street, just a few minutes' walk from the bus station. The hotel is divided into a South Tower and a North Tower. The South Tower features rooms with a fully equipped kitchen – we're talking a real home kitchen setup, complete with a dishwasher, induction hob, extractor fan, and all necessary kitchenware. It's truly rare to find a high-end hotel offering such amenities. What truly impressed me was their genuine recognition and treatment of elite members, even when booked through a third-party platform like Trip.com. For two guests, they provide a daily dining credit of CAD 24 per person (usable at their restaurants and eateries), complimentary Wi-Fi, and late check-out, among other perks. A special shout-out to Ms. Rosalie at the front desk, who was incredibly kind, professional, and took the time to thoroughly explain how to best utilize our member benefits. This hotel is exceptionally friendly towards its elite members."
