Onsen Premium Suites @ Tambun Ipoh

For those hotel goers, it’s not recommended to stay. The concept is similar to Air bnb and very hassle to communicate with hotel management for hotel check in/out information and instructions. No information earlier mentioned that deposit to bank transfer was required but luckily we have local bank account to do so in last minute. Overalls service apartment was clean , cozy with amazing view. However it won’t stay us again due to transition was inconvenient.
Kinta Riverfront Hotel & Suites

My experience about this hotel is that i will never forget the efficient service from all the staff starting from our check-in day.. The room is not so clean and needs to be improved. The thing that can be improved is the TV (upgrade ) and the corridor there needs to be vacuumed for cleaness. The breakfast area was soo good and there was lots of food variety.. We loved it and enjoyed the environment decoration with a classic Malay concept in the 1950~ .. And the last things before i forget to share please try the masala tea in the breakfast area this is for tea lovers..trust me!!! Superbbbbb!!! 👍🏼Overall is good..
The Horizon Ipoh By Iconique Espace

The room is just like the picture, very warm and clean. It doesn't get hot if the air conditioner is not turned on and the fan is turned on. Even before checking in, I sent an email to the store and called the Internet phone number left on Ctrip. There was no response. I could only contact Ctrip customer service. I was told that the store also contacted Ctrip to ask for our contact information. I don’t know why, but I left it online. What does information do? I feel that this is not very convenient. It is recommended that those checking in must contact us in advance, otherwise the check-in time will be delayed. If you drive by yourself, there are free parking spaces in the apartment building. Take the card given by the store and hold it up at the door, and it will automatically lift the parking lot. Many apartment hotels in Malaysia have similar operations. You just need to contact the store in advance via WeChat. They will send you a bunch of check-in information, but some of them are all in English.
Octagon Ipoh by Plush
3.8/512 Reviews
The location very good. You can walk to many famous restaurants in Ipoh old town. All not more than ten minute, very convenient. House is very big and bed is comfortable. But the smell from the sewer is very strong and extremely unpleasant. It helped when you close the toilet’s door. Not much soundproof, you can hear other guests walking and chatting at the corridor. It can be quite noisy in the morning and night when people passing by. The design of the car park is a nightmare. It’s octagon shaped - really challenging when you drive the car up to level 7 in one go. The management team quite approachable. They will collect RM300 for damage deposit through credit card. And will return in 1-2 days after your check out. ( I haven’t checked if I received the return).
Kampar Champs Elysees 4pax Homestay
4.3/55 Reviews
This homestay offered a convenient location near shops and felt very secure. The studio apartment surprised us - it was quite cozy for a family of four, including two teenagers. There were amenities like WiFi, a fridge, laundry, TV, and even access to a swimming pool. Plus, the view of the Kampar hills was breathtaking! However, a few things took away from the experience. There was no reception staff to greet us upon arrival, and the key collection/return process was a bit unusual. Additionally, the room had a lingering cigarette smell that lingered despite multiple air fresheners. Despite these drawbacks, it was a decent stay overall. The location, security, and amenities made up for some of the inconveniences.

Damai Laut Escape by Perfect Host
4.2/547 Reviews
This hotel is far away from Lumut or Pantai Remis, if you just to escape fron your busy life and enjoy the activities in the hotel, then this is a good choice. The room is big and quite completed with all the amenities like kitchen, induction cooker, fridge, dining table, sofa bed. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the only downside is the tv is not functioning well. You can walked one km to the beach and enjoy the sea side view. Overall , it is a nice place for you relax.
Barakah Homestay @ Meru Casa Kayangan
4.4/523 Reviews
The house same like in the photos. Towels, toiletries, hair dryer, iron and iron board provided. Wifi and smart tv also provided. All of it is good and nothing to complain. However, just brief info the parking lot is bit far from the lobby so need to walk a bit to unload stuff from car to lobby. Overall everything just nice and recommended. Location not that far from the attractions. There is laundry bar in front of the residence area. So it is quite helpful
Tower Regency Hotel & Apartments

Review: Tower Regency Hotel Good: The hotel was quite central and near Ipoh Parade (a large shopping mall). There were plenty of F&B options within walking distance too. The hotel receptionist suggested that we checked out the food trucks at Dataran Ipoh (about 5-8 min walk from our hotel). The food trucks serve local cuisine and has a nice street-food vibe and ambience. The buffet breakfast was not much, but it had some delicious food. Can be improved: There was no hotel porter to help with our luggage when we arrived. Apparently the hotel’s one and only porter had stepped out for a break. We had to carry our luggage from the car to the hotel lobby and then to our rooms ourselves. There’s no valet to park our car either. It’s an old hotel which may have its charms (reminds me of the 70s Malay movies I’ve watched), but it’s certainly due for a makeover. There were stains on the carpet and the walls needed a fresh coat of paint. The spray hose in our toilet leaked when we turned the tap on. We didn’t realise it at first, and it wet the floor. There was no iron and ironing board in our room, but there was one in the hall for common use. However, the iron’s markings were not visible anymore. We almost burnt our scarves while ironing because it was too hot. The bathroom towels were too thin on day 1, but they were thicker on the next day. There were no face towels or bedroom slippers either.
