Laos is not a rich country, but luxury hotels seem to be particularly fond of this country, especially Luang Prabang. Among them is Amantaka, which is a must-visit for Aman enthusiasts.
During my half month in Laos, I experienced all the good hotels in this country. As expected, Amantaka is the best. The noble experience begins when the front office manager personally drives to the previous hotel to pick you up. The appearance of every customer service person in the entire hotel seems to be strictly controlled. They are all pure and peaceful, so that wherever you walk in the hotel and meet the staff, you will see the pure and kind smiling faces, which will calm your heart. ,slow down. Although the hotel is located in the center of the city, it is quiet amidst the hustle and bustle. The hotel provides free shuttle tutu service to facilitate guests to explore the ancient city; it also thoughtfully provides free afternoon tea and laundry services. After swimming, you can use the steam and sauna rooms, and the facilities are well equipped. Monks will pass by the hotel entrance, and the hotel will provide free supplies and sticky rice to guests who want to experience alms. The hotel also gives guests woven bags and hats as souvenirs. It was an unforgettable and perfect experience in Amman Targah, and I hope to come back next time for a sunset cruise.
The hotel is less than 2 kilometers away from the airport, and golf carts can be picked up. There are also free golf carts from the hotel to the old town. The owner, Ayong, is very nice. He personally drove us to the alms in the morning and took us to the alms. He also told us a lot about the history of Luang Prabang and Buddhism. After the alms, he took us to the very down-to-earth morning market. The hotel room is very large, and the design of the suite is very suitable for bringing children. It is highly recommended. Finally, we left for the high-speed rail station, and the owner personally drove us to the entrance. I hope to have the opportunity to stay in their hotel again.
I love this big swimming pool so much. It's so comfortable to lie on the chair at night. I like the quietness here, away from the hustle and bustle of the night market. A bowl of hot noodle soup in the morning is still a very good experience. Time is tight this time, and I will bring my family to experience it next time. The hotel staff are very enthusiastic to help take the luggage to the room. The front desk staff can speak Chinese and solve my language concerns. It is a hotel with super cost-effectiveness. I recommend everyone to give it a try. It is exotic and trendy, very suitable for taking children on vacation.

Luang Prabang is a comfortable and cozy town with a strong historical and cultural atmosphere, suitable for slow-paced travel. For this reason, it is particularly important to choose a comfortable and suitable hotel.
In terms of environment, Jinglan Hotel is indeed worthy of a five-star recommendation. The hotel is built on a small hill near the city center. It is quiet in the bustling city. In the evening, sitting in the open-air restaurant facing the old city and ordering a drink, overlooking the mountains in the distance, it can be said to be refreshing and full of seclusion.
The terrace mountain view room I stayed in this time is not located in the main building, but in the single-story building on the side. The room area is acceptable, the balcony is spacious but the view is average (there is a shabby residential building under my feet, and the mountain view in the distance is good), and the room type will be recommended overall.
There are still some deficiencies in hardware and hygiene. Visible dirt was found on the curtains, shower floors, etc., but I personally feel that it is more inclined to poor maintenance rather than cleaning, and the appearance will indeed be greatly reduced. In addition, the sound insulation effect of the room is average, which is related to the building structure and is still within the tolerance range.
Praise the service quality of the hotel. The service staff will take the initiative to provide simple night bed service, including but not limited to making the bed, adjusting the room air conditioner to a suitable temperature, turning on the mosquito repellent, etc. Since the hotel is built on a small hill, it is a little inconvenient to travel. The front desk Bent will take the initiative to help contact the driver to arrange a car, and even include a chartered car service to the Kuangsi Waterfall and scenic spots along the way (of course, the chartered car is charged separately and is not a hotel service), which deserves a big praise!
Overall, the stay experience is comfortable and pleasant. Although there are some flaws in some aspects, the overall flaws are not enough to cover the merits. Of course, if you want to get a similar comfortable experience in Luang Prabang, you don’t have to consider the cost-effectiveness-this is indeed not as good as most domestic resorts.
Finally, as a world cultural heritage in Laos, the ancient city of Luang Prabang deserves to be on the list of every travel enthusiast, and Jinglan Hotel is also a choice to ensure travel comfort and safety.

Not much to say, which is rather positive. As advertised. The location was convenient without being crowded. The hotel itself was charming and relaxing. The restaurant offered a good mix of options with a wide range of affordable local dishes and some western alternatives. Both were good choices. The cleaning staff were efficient. And the service was great. There was always someone available to help, happily. The spa was surprisingly cheap for an in-house spa, but still maintained standards across the board. The shuttle, which never required any waiting time, was useful. I guess there was a bit to say, all positive. Would comfortably recommend.
The decoration of the hotel has nothing to say about the hardware and software facilities. The breakfast is a la carte but the quality is very good. Because it is a family with a baby, the assigned room feels dark overall, and the child will be a little scared to take a bath; there is no TV in the room, the swimming pool is small, the overall hotel occupies a small area, and there is no fitness room, so the fun is not high. I booked a triple room, and there is an additional price of 800 RMB for an extra bed with a child, which is 4,500 per night. I feel that the price/performance ratio is a little low, and it is not a hotel suitable for parents and children. It is more suitable for couples who are good at English and can easily communicate with the housekeeper to obtain more information about hotel value-added services.

Pros: This is the hotel where I slept the most comfortably among the hotels I stayed in these days!!! The sanitation is super clean and the bathroom is very new! The service is also super good, and there are quite a lot of free water and drinks. The breakfast is also very unique~ The morning alms are right at the door, and there will be a morning call! The environment is very comfortable
Cons: The door is locked with a key🔑, so you have to lock the door when you go out, which is not as convenient as swiping a card. The coffee I drank when I just came in is not free, you have to pay for it

Say goodbye to Siem Reap, fly to Luang Prabang, and unlock a new country: Laos🇱🇦
Explore Laos, ”Buddha” is undoubtedly a key word. Buddhism has existed and developed on this land long before the establishment of the Lancang Kingdom. After 1353, King Faang, who unified Laos, introduced Theravada Buddhism from Cambodia and made Buddhism the state religion, ushering in a vigorous era of Buddhist development.
The ancient city of Luang Prabang, a world heritage site, is the birthplace of Theravada Buddhism in Laos. After thousands of years, Buddhism has left a deep imprint on this city.
Avani+ in Luang Prabang is a two-story luxury hotel with 53 modern classic rooms, inspired by the traditional Laotian and French colonial architecture in the town. The history of the venue dates back to 1941, when it was a French officer's dormitory, and was converted into the Phu Si Hotel by the Lao government in 1961.
Aman founder Adrian Zecha is particularly fond of Luang Prabang. He feels that Jakarta, Singapore and Hong Kong, where he has lived, are becoming more and more fast-paced and modern, and only Luang Prabang gives him the feeling of living in Indonesia as a child. In addition to Amantaka and his private residence, the first hotel of the new brand Azerai was also opened in Luang Prabang in 2017. It is the predecessor of Avani+, so Avani+ is known as the Little Aman.
We are very happy with our stay at the Sofitel of Luang Prabang, very warm welcome from the arrival until our departure.
This is a very quiet and relaxing hotel with plenty of serene atmosphere, which we were looking forward to get during our stay. As it is a bit out of the city center with 5 minutes drive or 10 minutes by tuktuk, they do offer free shuttles from 6pm to 9:30pm to town or back.
Courteous staff, helpful and friendly people.
Breakfast is simple, not gargantuan, sufficient enough, they offer free 5 minutes massage when you arrive for breakfast if you desire to have one…
The pool and garden are beautiful and well maintained.
All in all, good values and good vibes from this place, we will return and recommend it to our friends to go.
This hotel could be spectacular, the views around the hotel are stunningly beautiful but the property has been left to fall into disrepair. There has been no upkeep, the property needs a power-hose, paint & revamp. It is very unstaffed, leading to less senior staff running around trying to do everything. For example when we arrived there was no one to help us with our bags or greet us at the door (not really 5 star experience), the kids club is unstaffed, had to wait 20 minutes for someone to arrive at the pool bar to make me a drink.. don’t bother with the breakfast it is very poor quality, the noodle soup is the best option but hard to eat as the breakfast room is not air conditioned so it is boiling hot in there! The shuttle bus service was great & I liked staying out of town as lying by the pool was very tranquil. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
