Apartments in Sicily, Italy

Our stay here was nothing short of excellent! From the comfortable bed, the spa slippers provided, to the mocha pot and fridge, the room was a refuge after exploring Syracuse all day! A great selection of restaurants within a short radius along with a small supermarket. We walked everywhere from the Hotel, day or night. Thank you for a great 6 nights. Shelley and Tom

It's a very nice hotel. Rooms are cozy with a well-equipped kitchen and a big bathroom. The most important is the staff of this hotel: so kind, so professional! Breakfast is good enough. The bar serves great Sicilian beer and wine (and the others). In our room, we also had a nice balcony/ terrace. Rooms were cleaned every day. In the reception, we could find many offers for different trips (Etna, Taormina etc...) + we got a voucher for a place on the beach in Catania. We even could rent a car or book a taxi for a fair price. Generally speaking, if next time I plan to go to Catania, I will book this hotel again.

The communication was exceptional from the moment I booked with them. They booked a car service for me from the train station and checked me in around 10pm. I was staying in Catania for 3 nights and decided to extend to 4 nights. They were very helpful in booking a room for me at another one of their properties for the last night. They made the process seamless and delivered my luggage to the new apartment for me. Both apartments were charming, clean and had great locations. Walking distance to all the main sites and farmer's markets. I would highly recommend!

What I liked: - The hotel boasts two lovely pools. - The on-site restaurant serves some of the best food I've had in the area, though it is pricey. - Breakfast is simple yet delicious, featuring eggs, frankfurts, bacon, cheese, pastries, fruit, juices, and wonderful coffee. - You are allowed to enjoy drinks by the pool. - 90% of the staff were extremely friendly and went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. - Free parking is available on site. What I disliked: - The room's air conditioning was not adjustable and only blew in one direction, making both the bathroom and bedroom uncomfortably warm. - I had to sleep on the pullout sofa as the bedroom was too hot. Thankfully, the sofa was available; otherwise, I don't know what I would have done. - The spa seemed expensive for a hot tub and sauna, so I didn't use it and can't comment on its quality. - There is an incredible rooftop with views of the bay and Mt. Etna that goes unused, which feels like a wasted space. - The location is very remote, situated in a residential area with nothing within walking distance except for two restaurants and a golf club affiliated with the hotel. - While you can walk to the bay, there are no pathways and the return trip is steep and uphill. - The hotel provides taxis, but they are quite costly. - There is an extra charge to use the kitchenette, which was not communicated beforehand. Additionally, no tea or coffee replacements were provided, which is unusual for a hotel of this caliber. **Tips:** - If you are checking in past 10:30 PM, be sure to call the hotel to ensure someone will be available to check you in. - Renting a car is essential for getting around, as without one, your travel options will be limited and expensive. - This hotel is perfect if you want to relax by the pool and do occasional excursions. However, if you're looking for more activities, you may find the location too remote.

Amazing apartment! Beautifully restored, spacious, quiet, centrally located and comfortable. Incredible breakfast from the local deli delivered outside on the trolley - amazing choice. No expense spared with a quality mattress and bedding. Fully air conditioned so really confortable in the Scilian heat! So many restaurants within a stone's throw of the apartment. Nicole is so helpful explaining the history of the apartment and full of recommendations on places to vist!

We booked deluxe flat with terrace for a one week. We booked straight from Ferrini homes website. The flat wasn’t what promised on website. There is not two ”real” room, but the second one is only a cramped loft above the kitchen, where there is no window, but the window opening in the kitchen extends right up to the loft. All sounds can be heard from the kitchen to the loft. The ”living room” was just a small sitting area for two or at most three. The terrace was big, but the sun never shone there. There was also no promised view. There was no coat rack for outerwear. Also, the promised microwave and clothes ironing equipment were only available on separate request. The kitchen equipment was scarce. The stairs up are narrow and there is no place for suitcases at the top. The walls are thin and the sounds of neighboring apartments can be heard through. The area is uncomfortable and you have to go through dark, narrow alleys to get to the apartment. Walking in the dark is not recommended in this area. From the street, the noise of nightlife and traffic can be heard inside at night. It was difficult to open the front door. Once it was not even possible to get out of the apartment. Not very safe in a fire or other emergency. Wifi couldn't work at all. It was also difficult to turn on the television. The bed in the bedroom was good, although there was a lot of dust and garbage under it. I felt cheated.

Stayed here for 5 nights in Room 4. I was slightly earlier than check in time, but it was not a problem so kudos for that. The hotel is in an old building and the entrance is on the second floor. There are no elevators and it's a pretty steep climb. The hotel is a converted house, modernised and all tastefully decorated with a provincial feel. The bathroom had lovely red and white tiles with a modern sink, toilet and shower. The bed had a metal but sturdy frame. Dark patterned tiles cover the floors of the rest of the room. The bed was directly in front of the balcony, which also had enough space for two chairs. The room also had a desk with two chairs, a TV and aircon. The only downside is the white curtains, which are quite thin and let in a lot of light. There are lots of bars and restaurants around the hotel. As it was shoulder season, I wasn't disturbed by any noise. I actually slept quite well thanks to the comfortable mattress. The hotel has a common kitchen area. I don't think breakfast is officially served, but there are light snacks, tea and coffee from an espresso machine. There's also a microwave and plenty of chairs and tables. Overall I had a great stay. The owners are fantastic, friendly and are happy to help with day trips including the beach.
