Vagabond Soho

We had a reasonably sized 1 bed appt. From other reviews I was worried about noise and bad behaviour of groups of tourists but this is a block of 90 apartments and only 24 are tourist rentals. Others include a number of people with the title ”Dr” so they are not riffraff, if you know what I mean. Our stay so far has been very quiet. Almost no noise from inside the block. It's the centre of a city so there is road noise etc but the windows are triple glazed so keep the noise out very well. Lift and corridors are all v bright and well cleaned. The area is touristy to some extent with loads of good value eating places including a very popular Hungarian restaurant where you need to book called Getto Gulyas. The area as a whole used to be the Jewish ghetto so the huge synagogue is close by but that meant that the are as a whole is quite run down in appearance. I think that makes it a much more interesting feel than some of the more renovated areas. This apartment block is new enough that it's not shown on Google satellite. Apartment was very clean and well equipped with washing machine and dishwasher. Everything you need for cooking on holiday. Furnished exclusively from Ikea by the looks of it but it felt new and not worn out. Bed is comfortable and on the firm side. So far the is absolutely nothing of any significance wrong with the apartment. Maybe we have been lucky by not being near a stag party. But we've only seen one about town in our stay so far. From our experience we would recommend.

We loved our 5 night stay here, we opted for a 1 bedroom apartment. We were amazed at how big, clean and well equipped the apartment was (there were even a couple of laundry pods to do washing if you wished). The staff at reception were really welcoming and happy to help giving great advice. Location is fantastic as close to all the main sights with the metro, tram and bus stops at the top of the road. Close to some brilliant restaurants like Mozel Tof, Ghetto Goulash and Pork and Prezli (make sure you book) Really handy that the direct airport bus stop is just a 5 minute walk too. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again if coming to Budapest.

It is spacious enough to cook. It is 370 meters away from the East Railway Station, and it is convenient to go to the airport. I stayed here for three nights, and I will stay here again when I come to Europe.
Emerald Downtown Luxury Suites by Continental Group

The hotel is in a central downtown location which is close to everything. The room is spacious and absolutely clean. My wife is very fuzzy about cleanliness so she always checks almost every corner of our rooms. This hotel room is the exceptional one which can satisfy her requirements. My salute to the cleaning lady. Well done! Though there are only two lifts in the hotel they are always quick to respond. The girls at the counter are courteous and helpful. We arrived before twelve but the girl gave us our room right away so we could take a rest after our long journey from Hong Kong. I highly recommend this hotel to those who want to enjoy a high standard and comfortable stay in Budapest.

Not a hotel, private rental, but a company operation. The house number was not obvious, and it was in a small alley. I couldn't find it even after a few steps, so I had to go back to the street. It was not easy to find it. For some minor incidents, I couldn't access the Internet at night, so I had to tell the staff the next day. Location: Excellent, close to subway station and train station. There are many restaurants nearby. It is also convenient to go to scenic spots. There is no breakfast, but there is a cooking stove, refrigerator, and microwave. There is a supermarket nearby so you can cook your own food. Or eat out. Happy to have a washing machine. Clean and sanitary.
Hotel Charles

Very good value. Really large retro 70s-style room with table and two chairs and a separate dining area with table, chairs, fridge, cooker and sink. Exceptionally comfortable bed and powerful a/c. Spotlessly clean and beds changed/room cleaned every day. Marvellous buffet breakfast with just about everything. A little pricy but there's nothing to stop you nipping to the Aldi just down the road and cooking your own. Very polite and helpful staff. So what's not to like? The noise I'm afraid. The hotel is situated right on a busy main road and although I had a side room, there was constant traffic noise day and night. The cleaners bang around outside your room too. Of course, you're not about to spend all day in your room but the traffic prevented me from getting off to sleep at night and woke me at 6 am every morning. A pity really as otherwise the hotel is great, but it was a dealbreaker for me in the end.

Facilities: The kitchen and bathroom are fully equipped, and the doors and windows are well soundproofed. The curtains are electric and automatic. Hygiene: The bathroom is clean, and the room is bright and clean. Environment: You can sit on the balcony to enjoy the street view. There are snacks in the coffee shop downstairs.
Amber Gardenview Studios Downtown

Location is excellent with everything you need close by and all the attractions in good walking distance. The apartment was clean with good facilities and kitchenette was well stocked. The room was spacious and quiet. The only complaint was that the bed was not comfortable and there was a distinct lack of bedding. The one duvet did not cover the bed and there was only one pillow. When I requested a bigger duvet or more bedding they said there wasn’t any.

TG Hotel Apartments Budapest
4.6/570 Reviews
TG Hotel Suites are nice and the location is really great to explore Budapest. Just a few blocks from St. Stephen's Basilica and a quick walk to metro & tram stops. Communication with the staff was excellent through email and whatsapp. Anna and Bernadette were very helpful. A few things we learned during our stay that might help future guests. Booking is by apt category, not specific apt and not all apartments have all the amenities listed in the category. We booked the Grand category expecting the washer & dryer listed in the amenities and only had a washer and racks for air drying. If a dryer is essential, confirm when booking. If booking in the Spring/Fall confirm the air conditioning is actually working in the building. Although the thermostat worked, we learned that the building air had already been shut off because it's between heating and cooling season. The room got quite warm and the only way to cool was to open the window. Two big sliding glass doors in the windows which cooled the room. Unfortunately, they also let in the noise and cigarette smoke from the sidewalk below. Bernadette provided a fan which helped to cool the room without opening the window as much. The lights are controlled by switch panels next to the bed, kitchen and entry. Good idea, but we found in our room they had to be all on or all off because the zones didn't work as expected. The apartment was big and we had room to spread out. There was a big couch and king bed. The kitchen had all we needed to prepare simple meals. The bathroom was nice with a separate bathtub and rain shower. Strong water pressure for a hot relaxing shower. I really liked the outdoor electric blinds that completely shut out the light. Even with the blinds open, the windows/door were very well insulated and blocked most street noise. Entry to the building requires a code for added safety. TG staff is onsite during the day and we left our luggage before check-in and after check-out which was very convenient.
