This review was written by my 8-year old daughter: About this hotel: It is a family hotel. If you are a kid, the first thing they are going to do is give you a teddy bear. It has a swimming pool and a gym. The swimming pool is really cool and it has a small waterfall built into a rock. The gym is quite big itself but we didn't go there. It has a nice view and a nice hotel restaurant. The food is really good and they have a really great breakfast. You order the main food and you get to choose the side dishes from a breakfast bar. For the main food, I picked omelet - it is quite yummy but it was not salty enough. For the side dishes, I picked cereal, kiwi and juice. They were all really yummy and sweet. You should go to Dorint. I give this hotel a five star review. -- From the parents' side a few additional notes: On the negative side - There is no AC in the apartment, so while this may not matter in the summer, it was quite warm during our visit (30-35C). It cools off nicely in the evening, but there are no screens on the window, so you'll likely end up with a few moths or other bugs in the room if you leave the windows open. On the positive side, they really cater well to families - from the teddy bear at check-in to a little board game on the back of the kids menu, to the small playground area (which seemed to be good for 4-6 year olds). This hotel is a short bus ride from the main train station. The rooms are modern & ours was large. No one & no instructions on how to turn on the lights or operate the roll down shutters or anything else in the room. It was frustrating. There are large patio doors (no patio though) that open with electric roll down shutters. But our room faced busy train tracks & so leaving those doors open meant hearing VERY frequent train traffic late into the night & then starting again in the early morning. It wasn’t pleasant. Another thing to know about this hotel is the A/C is controlled & is central to the ENTIRE hotel and it’s not cool in the rooms🥵. There is NO adjusting it in your room or for your room 🥵. It is just what it is. We were advised to open our patio doors to get more air🤪. That would work if it’s cool outside AND there were not the train traffic! There is no ventilation fan in the bathroom and that just adds humidity to the room with no way to vent it. So this hotel is modern meets we don’t trust you. We would not stay here again & from now on even if the hotel says there is a/c we will have to ask the further question about who controls it & the temp.
Hotel and Spa Silberhorn

My husband and I stayed here for the first leg of our honeymoon. The hotel was a little outside our price range, but we decided to treat ourselves, and we were not disappointed! Our room had a gorgeous balcony view of the Alps and the Lauterbrunnen valley. The breakfast buffet was amazing- cold cuts, lots of fresh fruit, breads, a large selection of jams, and eggs to order. We also finished every night of our stay with a trip to the hot tubs/spa area. Sitting in the outdoor hot tub during a heavy snowfall was definitely a honeymoon highlight. We also loved the hotel location- it's so close to the Wenger train station that it made exploring the rest of the mountain area with day trips so easy to plan. We had an amazing stay and would strongly recommend Hotel Silberhorn if you're looking for a hotel with a great view and yummy breakfast!

The hotel is halfway up the hill, some distance from the Grindelwald center and the train station. The hotel also has a shuttle bus that can be transported. We are self-driving. There is free parking in the hotel. It is relatively close to the cable car station of the first mountain. There are not many types of breakfast at the hotel. But it is enough, the biggest feature is the scenery, so beautiful! Whether it is a room or a place to have breakfast, look out for the snowy mountain, if you come to grindelwald next time, you will stay here!

Interlaken City Center
The hotel is a building built in 1891. It has undergone renovations over time, but still needs to update its standards. We were only there one night. The room was small, as was the bathroom. Access to the shower was a little frustrating, because the old sliding doors did not slide well. They were supplied with soap and shampoo, there was no hair dryer. They don't have air conditioning, but in September, we opened the windows and the temperature was fine. The room had a standing fan. They offer breakfast and it had options and was well cooked. For us it was very good: juices, hot dishes, yogurt, cheese, we had a good breakfast. The best thing about the hotel, the location and the staff who assisted us that day. You can walk the distance between the station and the hotel, more or less 7 minutes, and around you find shops, markets, restaurants, internal bus routes. We were attended that day by Lucía, who received us with great enthusiasm and warmth, she recommended how to go to the places and the beautiful parts of the lake, which buses to take, and gave us some passes to take free public transportation. We feel very well cared for. We were also assisted by a guy who explained to us how to enter the hotel after 9:30 when the reception closes. He was also very attentive and friendly.

We stayed at Hapimag resort for 3 nights. The resort is 12 minutes of walk from Interlaken Ost station. There is a bus stop right in front of hotel as well. The apartments are very spacious. We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment and it was quite spacious. The living area and balconies were huge. There were plenty of towels in the apartment and you could still get more from reception if you needed for pool etc. Hotel also has a temperature controlled pool, an adventure pool and steam/sauna rooms. All fun facilities to enjoy at the end of a tiring day or when its raining outside. There are plenty of restaurants at walking distance. We had a garden view apartment and the view from balcony was beautiful. On a clear day, you could see the Jungfrau mountain from balcony. Checkout process was smooth and fast. Reception staff was well informed and helpful. Overall a very good stay. Things that could be better The decor of the apartment was somewhat underwhelming. Things like balcony flooring, and bathroom tiles were somewhat basic. They were clean but not much color or design. Bathroom tiles were plain white, balcony flooring was basic cement and the whole apartment had like two small paintings. They could do a bit more in terms of decor and make it feel more like a 4 star property. Also, our apartment was not quite ready when we checked in. It appears that there was a last moment change of rooms and sofa cum bed was not converted to bed in this apartment. We informed the front desk and the lady present immediately got into action. It took an additional 30 minutes or so to get it all ready from there.

We just checked out from this hotel on 10th July after staying for 5 nights. Ours was a 2 bedroom apartment which was of very decent size for our family with 2 adults and 2 kids. The view from the room was awesome, just overlooking Jungfrau and the river. City centre is around 5 minutes walk and Interlaken Ost station around 15 minutes from here, so overall convenient location. The apartment comes with a kitchenette, and there is also a laundry room at ground floor for the guests at no cost. So, overall very comfortable stay. The most impressive part was Mr. Svein’s ( hopefully I spelled his name correctly) warm and caring attitude. Throughout our stay, he has been a perfect host and made sure we were comfortable and happy.

I booked one night. Check-in was uncomplicated. As many writers already, everything is available at the room via remote control. I personally don't like this now so much. I had problems to operate the shower. Otherwise everything would be positive to assess except a big decline point: the bed was related to a plasticized Molton. You know of children's beds so nothing runs on the mattress at night... result/ I sweat like anything else. Awakened at 3 plots of night: plitschnass. I had no 2. pyjama with it and I was located the rest of the night in my own sweat. Very unpleasant!
