The absolute best location, the staff were the best I have experienced, they treated us to Turkish coffee, Turkish delight and chocolates everyday. We often ended up sitting at reception just chatting and drinking coffee. They booked all our excursions for us and went the extra mile with everything. The rooms were so comfortable and spacious, the mini bar was so well stocked and had delicious treats and a big variety of drinks. This stay was one of the reasons we loved Istanbul so much. This place is truly a gem 💎

Very friendly and helpful owner and staff. We had difficulties finding the place and was walking and asking a couple of times when suddenly the owner appeared in front of us. Apparently someone message him that we are looking for Emirhan. When we arrived he made coffee while finishing the registration paperwork. The owner also helped carrying one of our 10kg luggage while escorting us to the Guesthouse. He even helped carrying it when we checked out to our next stay which is 10 minutes walk. Our room was on the 5th floor by stairs only, but it was worth it. The room is very spacious, with coffee making facility, refrigerator and a microwave. Bathroom with hot water shower. Water pressure is very good. Bed was comfortable. Aircon was cold. Many windows, with one side overlooking the ocean at a distance. The balcony is also spacious and overlooking the ocean as well. Door lock looked strong and secure. There's an electronic remote to open the main door to the house so we have a 24h access. The location is a 10 minutes walk from Sultanahmet, a bit downhill. A small supermarket is within 5 minutes distance. A few choice of restaurants are available in the vicinity, with lower prices compared to those in Sultanahmet.

The hotel is really sweet! Great location, in the middle of evrything. We came to explore the city so we didn’t need luxury hotel. The staff was really kind and kind. They tried to help with everything they could. Yes sometimes there wasn’t sparkly clean but if you mentioned it at the receptionist they arranged everything. The breakfast was also great! For the price we paid we didn’t even expact anything more. They also gave us bigger rooms.

There is a big park right next door, there are many cheap restaurants, marts, fruit shops, and close to metro and tram. Hotel bedding is clean. It was a pity that there was no refrigerator. There was noise around, so I couldn't open the door. Generally satisfied.

We had a amazing stay at this hotel. Upon arrival we were welcomed by the most friendliest staff. They went above and beyond for all our needs. Nothing was ever too much. The rooms were so cosy especially the fireplace with the smoke. The rooms are very accommodating, amazing hotel pillows too. If you are limited for luggage you don’t need to worry about bringing toiletries such as shampoo conditioners and shower gels as they are in all the rooms. They also clean the rooms daily and they do a fantastic job even folded our clothes nicely and the towels and room slippers are replenished also. We would go back if we are to visit again. Highly recommend this gem of a hotel. It is also a 4 min walk down a straight road into Istikar road. So perfect location. Uber prices to blue mosque and other places of interest was cheap if you choose not to use public transport. A huge thank you to Kaan and his team.

The room was large enough to accommodate 5 people: 1 double bed, 2 singles and 1 sofabed. There was a folding dining table with stackable chairs. TV. Kettle. Single hot plate. Cups, cutlery, plates and a couple of pans. Attached toilet bath with towels; it was functional and clean and was cleaned everyday, however, hot water in the taps and shower was a bit temperamental. Slippers to use in the room were also provided. Teabags were on the house and on the first day we got complementary water bottles: 500mL for each of us. Our room was on the 4th floor so was very quiet; there are only 2 rooms on this floor. The receptionist Ahmet was very pleasant and helpful in answering our queries. He also helped getting our suitcases in and out, and stored some excess ones in the office, including during the time when we had checked out and were waiting for our transport to the airport. Before we reached Istanbul he maintained good communication and called me when there was a query about our transport from airport to the hotel. If you are looking for a no-frills place to stay in Istanbul that is at a stone's throw from major attractions, i.e., Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque etc. then this hotel ticks all the boxes. P.S. I've spent 4 nights in this hotel August 16th to 20th, 2021 at the ending of my trip in Turkey. So it was a return at Istanbul after 6 days at the beginning of my trip. What a disappointment ! Yes the location is great and perfect, no complaints about it. Yes the room was spacious and comfortable. But .... booking specified that because of the covid, breakfasts could be taken in the room if desired. But in fact, no it was not a choice, it had to be taken in the room between 9 am and 10:30 am. You had to call reception to order it. When I arrived I was told that the room is not cleaned every day, but every 2 days..ok And that there would be no buffet as explained above.. No words on the terrace. So I asked one of the people working in the hotel if we could go to the terrace. He told me that in this covid time they were not using it. However, there are still photos and information on this one on the booking site... But that I could get there as I was alone and joking about not to tell other customers. So I went there in the evening, drank a beer quietly to peacefully enjoy the view. Then I went back the next evening to eat with a beer. 3 minutes after I arrived while I was eating sitting quietly in an armchair, another member of staff arrived to ask me to stop drinking, because I could, if I got drunk, fell over the guardrail. I’m 1m79 tall and the guardrail measures at least 1m30 ... Or that I could injure a child on the spot ... Which child? Am I alone on the terrace? Because I drink a beer? His way of speaking to me was very disrespectful, and precisely as if he was scolding a child who had done something stupid. He spoke to me with disdain, without listening to me and without the slightest psychology ... I decided, not without showing my dissatisfaction, to leave the terrace. Since no dialogue was really possible. This incident and these disappointments concerning the breakfast which by the way is not fresh and very industrial appart from the omelet, plus the fact that it is necessary to ask for the breakfast dishes to be removed plus the fact that when I arrived I could see that the room was not as clean it looks in some places, dust on the phone, and a mirror, crumbs of bread on the chairs, as well as a very weak wifi connection have somewhat ruined the pleasure that I could have taken to stay in this establishment Yes most of the establishment staff are friendly and ready to help you when you have a question. But you want customers to comply with the rules of an establishment, then it would be normal to give them clearly from the start.

The room in this homestay is large, two bedrooms and one living room, the bed is 1.5 meters wide, the air conditioning is also very good, the room is very clean. There is a local waiter who sleeps on the first floor 24 hours a day and can open the door at any time, but they don't speak English very much. The room was quiet. Someone was singing prayer at 4:30 in the morning on the first day, and it was quiet the next day. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the underground palace, which is convenient in the ancient city.
