We discovered Hotel Carina a few years ago and have returned ever since. It is one of the most relaxed hotels we have stayed in in Kusadasi and the views are absolutely amazing. It is very relaxing during the day and at night the bar/restaurant is open and there are quite a lot of events during the week and attended mainly by Turkish people. It can be loud but the music and DJ stop at a very reasonable time and everyone always looks like they are enjoying themselves. Its also nice just to watch as some nights there are belly dancers in and the party goers really know how to enjoy themselves. As for the facilities and rooms they are just perfect, lovely and clean and have everything one would need. They have now started to upgrade the rooms and the new design and interiors are gorgeous. The Hotel Carina is situated on a hill overlooking the bay and two small islands and is right in the middle of Centrum Marina and Ladies beach which are both very easy to walk to but if you are not up for walking there is a steady stream of Dolmus and taxi's passing by. Breakfast is traditional Turkish and very healthy but would like some fruit included. Lastly but not least the staff team at the hotel are just the best and really make it for us, they are so nice and helpful from the cleaning team to the management and if you need anything they are only to happy to oblige. Let me start by saying that the staff at this hotel were so kind and helpful, I have absolutely no complaints about them. When we first arrived at the hotel, their credit card machine was not working, and they let us settle in and said we could pay the next morning no problem. It was super nice. When we asked for extra towels or toilet paper there was always extra. Amazing people. However, this hotel could use a SERIOUS renovation. As soon as we opened the door the room smelled like an old man’s gym locker, there were stains on some of the sheets, and my duvet comforter was literally ripped at the bottom. The water smelled like sulfur and seaweed every other time we used the sink, and the electricity in the room would jsut randomly go off by itself and then come back on later. The lights outside our room in the hallway hardly ever worked and the spa (hammam) was non existent. It was literally an abandoned basement with old furniture upside down and empty dark rooms. Absolutely terrifying looking, we went back to our room immediately. There was water leaking on the top floor and the paint falling off the walls in many areas.Whoever runs/owns this hotel must be trying to create an interactive horror experience. Although Kayahanbay Otel might have seen it’s last renovation during the ottoman reign, it is central to downtown Kusadasi and would be the best hotel in town if it had a serious renovation. The breakfast was pretty good too. Beautiful views and close to the Çarsi and restaurants.

Very comfortable. Honeymoon by car, is the exploration of maps and Baidu maps are not allowed, around a large circle to the top of the mountain and found back around. The room is small, there is a safe, the hotel is beautiful, the morning is full, it is also very delicious, but unfortunately not suitable for the people.

Located in a residential area around 1 km from city center, but a pleasant walk along the sea. Owners and staff very friendly, helpful and cheerful. Very good kitchen with a wonderful chef. Had a reasonably good time.

++Small hotel next to the road, easy to find. Good location 10 min walk uphill from Kusadasi bus station. If you have large luggage, it will be a bit difficult. 10 min walk to Ephesus dolmus stop. The room is clean, spacious with balcony. Housekeeping cleans and changes towels every day. There are 3 pairs of slippers changed per day. The staff are very helpful. Turkish breakfast. - - The corridor lights in the hotel are automatic and you have to walk past them to turn on , which makes the hotel look dark. Shower room pipe drains slowly. There is no place to hang clothes in the shower.

We stayed here for two weeks and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is a family run hotel and Hassan and his family couldn't have been nicer and always smiling. All rooms have big balconies facing the sea and port where all the cruise ships come in and the view never gets old. We went in and out the back way which is accessed by a lift after a small flight of stairs, all very safe. Each floor after that is access by a lift inside of the hotel. We are lazy risers so missed the breakfast apart from one morning but our room had a fridge and kettle which was great for a tea/coffee in the morning. When we had breakfast it was a lovely and tasty. We had a couple of afternoons on the reception floor balcony with drinks as the hotel has a small bar. Hassan can organize your pickup to and from the airport and Turkish bath and trips. The hotel is super clean. If you go late in the season like we did you won't have the sun on the pool area or balcony (for us it wasn't a problem). Everything is in walking distance with shops, bars and restaurants in abundance. Rooms are big and beds and pillows very comfortable with extra blankets available. Hassan informed us that he is doing more updating on the bathrooms at the end of this season but each bathroom has a shower, toilet, sink and hairdryer. We would highly recommend the little gem and will definitely be back.
