Quinta do Cabo Guesthouse
4.7/516 Reviews
Quinta da Cabo was the last station on a very varied and exciting journey through the north of Portugal. We were very warmly received by Pascal, the German owner of the Quinta. Our room (No. 5) was huge, had a hall with a walkable dressing box and a large bathroom. All was in top condition and nothing missed. House and garden offer many opportunities to stay relaxed or to work sports. The various gardens are beautifully designed and offer so much space that everybody here finds a separate place. It is really all thought (bath coats and towels for the pool/ shower and toilets right next to the pool) The guests are all on the ground floor (lobby with several sofas/ living room/ bar/ billiard table/ open space to the garden), The hotel is very tasteful and comfortable. The trustworthy occasion is to provide all possible drinks at very moderate prices (Crushed ice including). In the evening the park was impressively illuminated with sunlights at various points. Also in the house there were many cozy, small lights. We have enjoyed getting information from first hand to country, people, politics and Portugal in general. A special thanks is due to Pedro, the good soul in the kitchen and breakfast service, always friendly and fun. After the sometimes intense tour we found a place to ”single tree” on Quinta do Cabo.
Arribas Sintra Hotel

Praia Grande
Extremely kind and accommodating staff. Excellent food, much of it sourced from the Atlantic Ocean. Increadible views from the dining deck, outdoor swimming pool, room balconies. It's a bit of a hike to the tram stop, and you'll need the tram to get to Sintra. If you have a rental car, then you'll be happy to know that Arribas has plenty of parking for you.
VIP Inn Miramonte Hotel
3.4/52 Reviews
Hotel a little vete. Home by sympathetic staff trying to speak French. Small parking in front of the hotel if not possible further (secured?). Beautiful pool but had no time to enjoy it. The hotel is located in the heart of the city centre and is located in the heart of the city centre. The staff of the ”Covid” is vigilant, everything is done in compliance with the rules.
Chalet Vitorino
4.7/543 Reviews
What a beautifully curated interior this hotel has! A very special ambiance has been created by Vitorino through a delightful mixing of classical and modern design influences, suffused with a sense of calm well-being. We had a most comfortable stay here. Vitorino's attention to detail did not stop at the furnishings - daily freshly prepared breakfast treats were another stand-out feature. Vila Vitorino got our vote for best Portuguese custard tart of the holiday too. Thank you very much for looking after us so well! Our dinner recommendations from this hotel are Otto's (across the road) where we had tasty freshly cooked pizza, pasta and some regional dishes and Colheita 71 (about a 15 minute walk away). This latter proved to be one of the best dining experiences of our week-long stay in the region, with wonderful regional dishes and a particularly kind hostess who was able to help with some dietary requirements under fairly short notice.
Wot Sintra Ocean
3.9/555 Reviews
Lovely staff, lovely included breakfast, but the room was just too noisy. Maybe it was because we were at the front of the hotel, overlooking the ocean and 'apple' beach? Also overlooking the main road. Saturday night we had dance music till 2am from the club next door. Sunday was laughing and shouting and then the street cleaning machines started up at 7am. Because the room had no a/c or fan we had to have the window open, which compounded the noise issue. Didn't get much sleep. No iron or kettle, weak wifi
