Lindner Hotel Mallorca Portals Nous
4.4/556 Reviews
The hotel resort is strategically located in reasonable distance from Palma and close to many nice locations of western Mallorca. The whole hotel resort is quite nice and well kept, especially the gardens: the style is peculiar, rather exotic African colonial, and sometimes a bit tacky (exotic animal figures, elephant tusks, animalier style everywhere, etc.). It is ideal for families and children, who enjoy themselves a lot. We were a couple in our middle adulthood who like to travel and enjoy life. Upon arrival we decided to upgrade from our chosen room to a suite, paying the difference of price, and the staff was quick to react (but no option of free room upgrade was offered though). Unfortunately no one from the front desk explained us anything about the classical hotel information (wi-fi, breakfast times, availability of restaurants, how to get to the beach, nice places to visit in the area, etc, etc.). Moreover we found it very alienating and unpleasant that some of the staff at the front desk reception hasn't even greeted or looked at us during the whole 5 days stay, while we were of course normally friendly when passing by. This is not acceptable at all. The suite was ok, quality of materials varies a lot and no big water bottle was provided on a daily basis except on arrival, during an exceptional August heatwave: again not acceptable. We did not use many facilities, so we cannot judge the pool or the spa. Breakfast was not bad, but not particularly good either: very basic. Big professional automated coffee making machines are nowadays very common in some hotels, but we would have been willing to pay extra for a nice cappuccino or espresso from a proper Cimbali coffee machine or similar. We had one dinner in the nicer restaurant and it was ok. As already said, we did experience almost none proactiveness from the staff in terms of giving info, offering services and no one asked us if we were doing fine during our whole 5 days stay. As said, some front desk personnel did not even look at us and greet us. There has also been an awkward, weird incident when a lady from the reception started to speak wild, angry Spanish with the local personnel, making a big fuss of 50 cents which were kindly offered by them because I did not have change for a 20 Euro note at the cigarettes vending machine. She thought I would not understand Spanish, but even by her hysterical reaction anyone would have been offended. It’s not appropriate at all to make a guest feel bad and talk about her/him in another language, hotel personnel to hotel personnel, in such a way, in front of her/him, for a nonsense. It’s so rude and unprofessional! Last but not least, on the last day, as we had a very late flight, we asked for a late checkout opportunity option. In 5 seconds we were told that the only option was luggage in the back room of the reception and shower in the spa area: again, we would have been willing to pay an additional fee for the same room or a smaller one, fo

We used this hotel as a base for exploring the west coast of Mallorca on our motorbike. We had a good size room overlooking the pool with a comfortable bed and a nice sized bathroom. They even suggested parking our bike in the garage, which was nice. We stayed half board and found the food choice to be good for both breakfast and dinner, even providing an early breakfast on the day we left. All the staff were very friendly and helpful
Leonardo Royal Hotel Mallorca Palmanova Bay

Stayed for 6 days in an apartment type room with 2 and 5 year old children. I would like to visit again. good 1. It is true that there is a slope from the sea to the hotel, but it is a distance that even a 2-year-old child can walk. 5 minutes walk. 2. Stayed in room 776. The room was an apartment type with a kitchen and it was easy to live. The equipment is basically complete. If you tell the receptionist, they will give you a detergent and a sponge. Beach towels are rented with a deposit of 10 euros per sheet. If you want to change it, they will respond quickly. The deposit will be returned on the last day. No seasoning. 3. Dinner is a buffet with many items. 2 year olds are free and it was about 30 euros for 2 people. I felt that cospa was good. 4. A convenience store-like supermarket is next to it, 3 seconds on foot. 5. ALDI, a regular supermarket, is about 15 minutes away on foot. There are slopes and it was difficult for a 2-year-old to walk, but no problem for adults. 6. Marineland? 10 minutes by taxi to the small aquarium. If there are many people, it is more profitable than the local bus. It's a small aquarium, but there were dolphin and bird shows, and the children really enjoyed themselves. 7. I took a tour of the Palma Aquarium at the reception. This includes bus and ticket. This bus goes directly to the aquarium without going to a souvenir shop. The stay was long enough. 8. There were activities such as a children's dance program, and the children enjoyed themselves. 9. The nearby sea has a long beach and a little rocky area, so if you get tired of the beach, you can look for crabs and shellfish on the rocky area and have fun with your children. The beach in front of the hotel is long, and it was very nice to cycle on a rental bike that can hold 4 people. Rental bikes can be rented at the shop in front of the beach. bad 1. All cash payments in the hotel. There is an ATM inside the hotel, but it is a little inconvenient. It also charges a fee. 2. Depending on your tastes, I thought the breakfast was not worth the 22 euros. After all, my child ate bread, yogurt, and cereals, so I bought them at the supermarket next door and ate them in my room. 3. The airport shuttle bus often stayed at the hotel, but the receptionist would not tell me. The hotel can only call a taxi, and the bus should be checked and booked by yourself. I wanted to know at least the company name, but they didn't tell me. You must have seen the same bus company name hundreds of times (even I saw the same bus about 5 times. You should write down the name when you see the bus). The local bus to the airport is cheap, but the bus stop is ALDI direction. If you are an adult, you can walk with a suitcase, but if you have children, it will be difficult. A taxi to the airport is around €45 each way. 4. Affiliated tours are the worst. We booked a boat tour inside the cave. At 9:00, the time spent in the cave is only 1 hour and 20 minutes. After going around souvenir shops → jewelry shops, we finally arrive at the cave. Lost time is more than 1 hour. So 69 euros for 3 people is too expensive and I don't recommend it. The child is bored and bored. There are many tourists in the cave, and there is a long line to enter. This 1 hour and 20 minutes includes everything, so I was only in the cave for about 40 minutes. The boat that can be boarded inside the cave takes 2 minutes, but the waiting time is over 30 minutes, so it is physically impossible to get on in time for the tour bus meeting time. We recommend renting a car. This is the only bad thing this time.

Aparthotel Aquasol

Recently stayed for 4 nights as a short break for me and my mum. All of the staff we encountered were lovely. The room itself was basic which we expected, but clean and the kitchen space had decent facilities. We knew in advance that there were a lot of steps but we underestimated how difficult this would be with a heavy case! We were in a top floor apartment and we had a number of pigeons that liked to spend time on the balcony and make a mess of our clothes, so don't leave things out to dry for too long! Unfortunately we didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel in the end due to the fact that there were a lot of large groups staying there. They made a lot of noise late into the night (doors slamming, shouting, furniture being moved etc.) so we didn't get a lot of sleep. We considered asking for a room move but we thought it wouldn't make a difference because there were so many groups scattered around the hotel. It also meant we didn't use the pool because it was taken over by the groups playing ball games in the shallow end of the pool. We didn't see many families with children having the opportunity to use the pool either. What we saw of the evening entertainment was good but poorly attended as most of the groups of guests were going out for the night. Overall, the hotel itself is clean and in a good location, but I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for a relaxing break with the family.
Kimpton Aysla Mallorca, an IHG Hotel

We simply cannot say enough good things about this Kimpton property. From the staff to the accommodations, the food & beverage options to the landscaping & spa, everything was fantastic. A last minute choice, we are so glad we made the trip and hope to return soon! First Impression: From the moment we were brought to the front of the property, we knew we had made a good choice. The property, its parking lot, edifice, & landscaping, was in immaculately kept condition. The entrance is humble with only some orange trees, shrubbery, vines, and some small understated branding. Getting There from the airport: This hotel is located in an isolated, quiet residential neighborhood, nearly a half of an hour from the more active city of Palma, & it offers a wonderful serenity. Coming in the off tourist season as we did made it even quieter. For those who might wish to explore the island, beyond the resort, parking for the rental car you will want is inexpensive overnight. Staff Experience: 5/5. Excellent. The staff was truly wonderful, and we couldn’t have asked for better hosts. All guest-facing employees we met were stellar. The team’s collective vibe really felt just right. Fancy enough, informal enough, real. Alina made us feel genuinely welcome. We loved seeing the enthusiasm Aitara showed for the brand. Miguel, history scholar, was very social & made us feel quite comfortable. Laura, the front office manager, was very kind, as she aided us with modifying our airport transportation and check out. Special thanks to Carolina S., who not only answered our usual guest questions but also took time to show some room types & explain a great deal about the property. Our stay would truly not have been the same without her. We thank all these any others who may have contributed to making our experience what it was. We felt the #kimptonlove Accommodations: 5/5. Excellent. We were assigned a “King Premium” room type, (1304), and we were very happy. Our IHG Preferences of a room on a high floor that is away from the elevator were accommodated. We slept in a King bed, watched television from the sofa (where a third person could reasonably sleep), and snacked on an amenity at the small dinette table provided in the room. It had a balcony for lounging with a nice view and the fully stocked minibar offered many drink options. The bathroom included a rain shower w/ separate tub & direct bathroom access to the balcony. Design elements were chosen from the locality and create a stylish & modern, yet relaxed feel. Other accommodation options were available. We learned to book the Presidential Suite if one would like the private hot tub on your balcony and your own olive tree for martinis. Essential or classic rooms are perfect for the restaurant, bar, pool, gym, or spa-dweller, but the view may not be optimal from your room. Families may prefer a couple of essential rooms, since some of those do have connecting doors. If hammocks are your thing, corner rooms with pri
